Bought a custom built PC and forgot to add any kind of WiFi functionality to it - oops! This PC was for my son so we headed over to Best Buy so he could start his online gaming ASAP. Very simple set up and he gets very high bars even though router is in basement and his room is upstairs.

Several months ago my older SMC router apparently died and when the cable company came out they replaced it with a much newer high-tech router and my older computer (of two) could no longer connect to the internet. The cable company and myself tried everything and I finally accepted the fact that I would have to buy a network adapter. I am technologically deficient and did not have a clue of what I needed. Best Buy suggested the above device. It was easy enough for even me to get up and running on my older computer and I am now back online with no problems. Well worth the approximate $50 price.

Even at the standard 2.4 ghz this greatly boosted my speeds compared to my old netgear. Outstanding performance at 5 ghz.

I've been very impressed with this wireless adapter. Very easy to connect and fast. Good wireless connection from 2 rooms away from my cable modem.

Pretty much followed the instructions, installed it using the cd it came with, plugged it in and it worked instantly. Pretty easy to use.

Nice fast adapter but the driver is out of date. Netgear needs to update their driver to be fully compatible with Windows 8.1 and 10.

Connected my desktop to Wifi so that I could move the pc to another room. This product helped me connect my desktop computer down stairs away from my upstairs WiFi router. The speed is great and the PC works perfectly. The directions are simple and the drivers come on CD. THe best option is to use the drives AND THEN do the over the air upgrade. love it!

Adapter was easy to set up and worked the first time without any problems. Software loaded and adapter picked up wireless signals right away.

Had many problems with a wifi card installed on my husband desktop and I was leery of buying a USB version of a wifi connection as I felt it wouldn't be as good. I was happily wrong about that! This little item installed effortlessly, picked up the WiFi signal seamlessly and had been chugging away without fail ever since. If only the router was as reliable! It handles a great data load very well without lag - as hubby plays WoW at a very high resolution and it performs excellently. Was a great purchase and is highly recommended.

Strong signal and works really good. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of its size but it is a good product.
