Works great and is about half the price of a Roku box. Set up was about 5 minutes. Only complaint is that it runs kind of slow.

Setup can be a little tedious because there are several updates in the beginning but this will always be up to date with the apps technology. I live this thing. I fire up nexflix in moments and it streams well in hidef. I can use my smart phone to control it and it is a fraction of the price of roku. I was concerned running it through wifi but it is fine though if you can plug it in to a router, these types of things are always better that way. I have an xbox one and the streaming is just as good. Watch out for em

Bought this as an alternative to my Roku player that had stopped working. I absolutely loved my Roku, but this was half the price do figured I'd give it a try. It has the same basic functionalities as my Roku does, but is not as easy to use. I cannot find the Amazon Prime channel, but that may be just a matter of adding the channel. Haven't had the opportunity to try yet. Streams Netflix as well as, or even better than the Roku, but the interface isn't as simple. But for half the price, definitely worth it! $40 turns your TV into a smart TV, what more can I say?

works fine for the secondary entertainment room. netflix, hulu plus, and youtube are what we use it for. Sometimes I have to re enter info for accounts which is a little inconvenient, but it works.

This is a great product if using Netflix or Hulu. But it does not work well with Youtube because of the not so user friendly interface. It also does not allow access to anything on my network. It takes a long time to respond to the controller and takes about 20-30 seconds to load a video even when hardwired with Cat 6 on a Gigabit network. Worth the price of three months of Netflix but not a dime more!

I've purchased 2 roku streaming players that I've been very happy with and was shopping for a 3rd when I came across the NETGEAR NeoTV Streaming Player. Because of the price I decided to give this product a try as it cost significantly less than the roku. I've been happy with the NeoTV player and satisfied with my purchase. It doesn't have all the same channels as the roku does, so you will want to verify that it has the channels you want before you buy it. For example, it doesn't have the Amazon prime channel (as of the time of this review). It does have a YouTube channel, which I believe the roku doesn't have yet (at the time of this review). It was relatively easy to set up and get started. I recommend this product to anyone who would like to have a decent streaming device for less than the price of a roku. I would purchase this item again if the need arose.

This is a really great streaming player. Its very easy to set up and use. I would recommend this for a beginner.

This video streaming player is fantastic for the money. It was extremely easy to set up and use, and the picture quality is good. Sometimes with video streaming players, the picture on the TV turns out fuzzy. The picture with this player is clear.

I've tried a more expensive product but it didnt work well. Then I found this product...easily sets up, tells you when time to update. Great product for streaming Netflix. This was a good choice!

Pretty good unit overall and it comes with everything needed to set up on PS3 or Xbox 360. Video quality is really good and the logo overlay is nice. Once the hardware is setup, the software is easy to use and uploads to youtube are a snap. The initial setup is kind of a pain and once I disconnect my laptop the video passthrough stops working. I basically have to set the video output on the ps3 back to the HDMI and disconnect the PVR completely which means I have to set everything back up when I want to record another video. Wouldn't be an issue if I had a computer hooked up all the time but thats not doable for me at this point.

Great buy for the price. Very slow to load and not a user friendly remote.

Love it. Smaller than expected. I didn't like the fact that it wouldn't connect at first because my internet box was upstairs. It's very convenient and it makes it easy for people who do not want to spend extra money on a smart tv or dvd blu ray player with these capabilities. I got it on sale so that was a plus but I think it would be worth the regular price as well.

When I was purchasing my 50" TV, I was originally looking at the Smart TVs. The salesman directed me toward this Netgear NeoTV Streaming Player as I'm not a heavy streaming user. I primarily wanted something for Netflix, Pandora, and maybe some YouTube. The box was easy to set up, even considering having to use the curser instead of a keyboard to enter account information. I haven't had the opportunity to play with many of the the available apps yet, but so far, so good!

What you get for the money is solid. I have a Roku 2 XD also and this was almost half the price. The channels are similar but the Roku has a few extras. Setting up the NeoTV proved to be harder than the Roku and the remote has a lot to do with it. I found the remote difficult to use and made a slightly difficult setup much harder. The NeoTV has proven to take too long to connect to the network at times too.

Not a bad box to smarten up your TV, but when watching some shows it changes the aspect, zooming in and out randomly. Not on many shows but definitely on some. Couldn't figure out how to browse the internet, but didn't really spend much time with the book, so maybe its me, or maybe its not compatible. I bought it to stream Netflix and it works for that.

This product is small, compact, easy to set up & does the job.

This was very easy for me to set up. It streams Netflix, Hulu, You Tube and Pandora which is all I need. It doesn't offer the 100+ other options offered by higher priced models. HDMI cable not included. I guess this is typical, but my salesperson didn't advise me I needed additional parts to setup. Also, the cables are ridiculously priced in store. I ordered my cable online so had to wait several days before I was able to use the Neo TV.

Works well for netflix,YouTube,and Pandora. But i cant get the Facebook to work. And the remote really sucks.you have to keep pressing the button to select a feature most of the time it doesnt want to work.

There was nothing wrong with the device, but it doesn't work with satellite internet. The Internet is too slow for streaming video to our TV. Best Buy immediately gave us a refund on our purchase. It wouldn't have mattered what device we used, the result would be the same. The Netgear NeoTV was very compact, easy to set up, and easy to operate.
