Love this Netgear Nighthawk! No more down time or reboot this router. It’s a little expensive but more reliable than the other routers I had.

Upgraded from a netgear AC1750 combo bc wifi cuts out.
Don't have wifi 6 devices yet but it does have 32/8 lanes which will help with congestion.
I like the combined 2.4ghz and 5ghz toggle that switches you automatically. 4 stars bc laying it on its side doesn't seem right, maybe it was ment to stand up but there is no room for me.

Great product. I pay for 400 mbps and I’m getting exactly that now with this router/modem combo. Smaller and sleeker than the previous model.

Great Modem but ...

While this modem worked great with all devices, the one app it didn't work well with for us was the Xfinity Stream on either Roku or Apple TV. Had to go with their modem for their app to work. Every other app worked great but the one with the local channels for some reason did not (hmmm). Not sure why.

While this review would normally be five stars, I unfortunately can't recommend this in good faith as this device failed on us within the first two years. One minute it was working fine, next morning I wake up and nothing can connect to mine in my roommate's internet, and Comcast doesn't have an outage.
While it was active, however, it was not only able to support two gaming computers, two work laptops, a smart TV, both of our cell phones, a full network of security cameras, sensors, and even a remote 3d printer control suite!
Shame It couldn't keep up.

Best router modem combo on the market

This device is one of the best on the market hands down. I am running several computers and phones along with a printer/fax/scanner/copier. All of these are wireless and can still run a direct line for my work compiter. The nighthawk exceeds àny othe router modem on the market. I had another purchased days before, but returned it for this model.

Bought this after my other modem and router were fried by lightning. It was easy to install and setup--works great! A bit on the pricey side.

Great Modem & Wi-Fi Router combo. Installation was a breeze with the detailed instrustions for all ISP providers including Xfinity who is our ISP provider. Certainly an upgrade to the Arris Modem & Wi-Fi Router Combo that broke after three months of use. Keep up the great work Netgear!!

For the price, can't handle a "smart" house at all

For the price I expected this product to be flawless and that it fell extremely short. Setup was pretty simple. Provisioning the modem just as easy. The problems came after setup. The Netgear iOS app stopped recognizing (or discovering) the device. Logging into the device via browser at 192.168.1.1 was difficult. At first it couldn't recognize my password so I had to reset it. Then Safari refused to work. Firefox eventually worked. Clicking into the any of the tabs from Basic to Advanced was so slow I literally could go make a cup of coffee, come back and it was still "loading" the page. If you are patient enough it will eventually load but I think aged 5 years messing with this device. And, again, the app completely useless. It wouldn't even discover the device. Now, let's get to IoT (smart devices like your bulbs, switches, outlets). For some odd reason this ting doesn't play well with 2.4Ghz IoT when in "smart" mode (or when 2.4 +5Ghz) modes are blended as a single SSID. All night long I had notifications You're door bell is offline, You're doorbell is online. I have around 31 "smart" devices" around the house and this device just can't handle them. For $500 it should and that's why this is being returned. Otherwise, for tv, radio, etc. it was decent. Didn't drop a connection or have any buffering issues. Of course, I had no decent way to manage the device which didn't take me all night. Oh and firmware updates, good grief. Let's just say I eventually got it to update.
