Decent product - too expensive

I can tell a difference; however I have an incurring issue where one of my devices will not connect to the WIFI network. Overall, a decent product.

Excellent Combo

Even the manufacturers help desks couldn't solve the issues. This modem/router took care of everything simply. Since it is one device, compatibility issues cannot arise. It's broadcast distance is the whole property. And its optionality is beyond what I will ever even use.

Great performance.

The WiFi range was limited and I had terrible reception on my patio. Once I upgraded to the Netgear, all my performance issues disappeared. My WiFi on my patio is much better, and wired network performance is great!

Time to part ways with Netgear

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently bought the CAX80 to upgrade my home network (from Nighthawk C7000), and was left really disappointed and unimpressed. I noriced a marked decrease in the performance of IoT device connectivity. Devices were failing to connect or becoming repeatedly disconnected from WiFi. Second issue: The new Nighthawk app is leaps and bounds backwards from the old Genie application, with a lot of great features missing. Third issue: no static routing ability. Netgear has not made static routing a feature on this $400+ router. That is a deal breaker for me. Static routing is a typical feature in nearly any other router on the market at similar price point. Finally, things like notifications of network health have been farmed out to BitDefender Armor, where it is clear that Netgear is trying to monetize some fundamental features of a router to get you to pay an extra $100 a year for their Armor subscription. All in all, the CAX80 has showed me that its time to upgrade my entire network with a different solution, so I'll be returning this unit.

Absolutely Worth It!

I had been having video calls sputter out, and constantly slow access from different locations in my home. With all my family's devices connected, I could not be happier for our decision to upgrade to this device.

Connectivity and Web Access Problems

Installation was not seamless but not overly difficult. The problem is that I am unable to daily update my Trend Micro security suite. Tried a multitude of possible solutions without success. My laptops are ethernet cable connected to unit. WiFi has worked and the range is very good, fast.
