This router is great. I get great connectivity throughout my home (2040 sqft) and even outside. I rarely have to reboot it and since I put it on a small UPS, I’ve been able to have internet service even during power outages. LAN speeds are super fast, and it pairs well with my PowerLine Adapters.

Best option to save money and update your home network

We had a WiFi router/ Modem supplied by our enternet service which was very spoty and did not extend to the back of the house. The "Netgear, Nighthawk" WILL give use access [facetiming] all the way out to our "garden" about 15 + yards out from the patio of our home. My wife was actually able to face time our Son and show him our garden.

My old Netgear fell to the floor ( yet still worked ) but I used it as an excuse to buy a new one that I plan to use for years to come. With standards and supply lines - I figure 4 or 5 years minimum. (product support from Netgear has been great)

2nd one i have owned , 1st one only lasted 1 year and 3 months, so now i purchased the extended warranty since the last major failure

This was purchased just before changing to MetroNet, a fiber optic provider. It was returned because of being incompatible with the new system.

It works fine as a cable modem. But that’s the end of it. This is the most over-rated, over-priced cable modem I’ve ever seen. In all my years working in networking I’ve never come across a more troublesome wifi router. I’ve also never in my life had a wifi router interfere so badly with everything around it, even at 1/8 power. My garage door quit opener lost half its range. My neighbors complained that they lost wifi signal. My devices inside my house were constantly dropping service and losing connectivity to things such as airplay devices. My zigbee devices were even affected. I switched channels and powers and frequency ranges on this pile repeatedly, none of which improved the situation one bit. But now that I’ve shut off it’s wifi, everything in my house is back to normal. Zigbee lights are responding, HomePods aren’t taking 30 seconds to respond, garage door opener has all its range back and the neighbors wifi is back to normal. To make matters even worse, this thing doesn’t even create a mesh network with brand new access points form their own brand. I work in the field. I have worked with countless other devices in my home and for business. And I have never, EVER, had such an awful wifi setup.

I love this product my internet is so much faster!!!

I have a good size House and and reaches everywhere!
