i really like this device. its fast , easy to set up, but: for a novice a little more info on the settings would be nice. maybe some standard setting for different users: surfing, gaming developer, etc. Also don't like that the 3.0 USB port is in front. I have a 4TB drive that i use as a backup but the cable sitting out the front is messy.

I upgraded from a Linksys E4200 and a Netgear AC6300 router. This router is a lot faster than either and the wi-fi range is superb. I can get >80% throughout my 3000 sq ft home. My other two routers could only give me about 30% in some corners of the house. The only drawback is that the router is pretty big and the lights are very bright. At night it will light up the wall, thankfully you can disable the LEDs except for the power LED.

I had never spent so much on a router before but other reviews I had read online were all quite favorable. Since my old router had fried, I figured I'd get something better. And man is this router awesome! The range on this thing us amazing. I had a weak signal on the other side of my house with my old router, but with this one, I had full strength; even on my front porch. It has a nice option to prioritize whether you want the router to receive more data and send it to the devices (for streaming of tv shows and movies), or to send more data (for online gaming). We set ours to streaming, and now my Netflix and Hulu Plus are streaming in HD! Much better than the standard definition I was getting before. The only thing negative about the machine is the size. If you don't have a big enough area to set it though, it can also be wall mounted. But size should not deter you from making this purchase. It is well worth the money! Plus once AC is available for more devices, I will be set up nicely to take advantage of it. :)

I have a pretty large house and this router easily covers the entire range. I have 2 children, we have 3 gaming systems, 3 PCs and no less than 5 mobile devices all connected wirelessly. I've never experience any type of slowdown and we stream Netflix, YouTube, download music, etc... I work from home occasionally and have no problems connection to my work VPN. I highly recommend this product to anyone with multipe PC/devices.

Great wifi range Super fast So easy to install that my dad was able to do it without my support.

I started having problems with my previous router because of the number of devices it was connecting to. 3 phones, 2-3 computers, t.v., and a ps4. Because of that sometimes connections were dropped and on-line games were lost, rankings went down, and people were unhappy. This router has no problem supporting all the devices and connections and I thought the price was very reasonable.

I recently bought the Nighthawk AC1900 after many weeks of reserch and do not regret my purchase one bit! The set up was fast and easy and intergrated into all my wireless items with no trouble. The nighthawk is very fast both up and download and has not dropped out at all not like my old router. I my eyes you can't go wrong with this one! It also has the wireless ac ability for all future wireless devices, GREAT PRODUCT!!!!

This works very good. Netflix streaming is not a problem at all. The range seems to be good too.

The Netgear Nighthawk R7000 WiFi router is hands down the best one on the market. I picked this one up to improve the WiFi range of my CenturyLink DSL and add the 5Ghz WiFi. It's certainly held up to the load I put on it. We have several WiFi devices plugged in to this router and it doesn't even think twice about it. Great range and speed over WiFi on all the devices. It is a little more expensive but well worth the money.

Gone through 2 cheap routers recently and, upon recommendation from a techie at my ISP, went to Best Buy looking for a beefier one that could handle the number of devices in our home. We were losing internet connection, and have not since this purchase. Plus, it is faster! I really like the smartphone app that allows me to control the whole thing, or the individual connections to our various devices. Great router!

Have not had this router too long so time will tell. Thus far it works well majority of the time with good speed & range but cuts out occasionally. Frustrating at times when it just locks up and doesn't work and you have to reset it. If anyone has some tips on this please suggest. Geek Squad it up our router for us and did a good job. They had a little trouble setting the address up with Charter Cable. Very professional team and got everything operating together.

I was having problems with slow loading and connectivity and decided to replace my 7 year old router. I had no idea what I was looking for when I went into Best Buy, but this one specifically said gaming and streaming on the box whereas others didn't, so I gave it a try. I love it. No more problems and I am a happy camper.

I was going to pick up a modem/router combo but the rep suggested on doing them separately. I'm so glad I listened to him. Super fast speeds. I finally was able to get the speed I was paying for through Comcast. Been renting their modems and I was barely getting 20 mbps when I was paying for 100 mbps. With the nighthawk, I was able to get that all over the house in all bedrooms and downstairs!! I love it!

Netgear networking products are reliable and resilient. I wound up in the market for a new router when my previous Netgear router finally bit the bullet after 6 years of heavy use. While I found the Nighthawk a bit bulky and pricey compared to other router on the shelf, I must say I am extremely satisfied with the product. Range and bandwidth are more important than ever as we all have multiple wireless devices.

My old router had gone out on me. I'm not very knowledgeable on routers so I went with one that has good and a high number of reviews. Setup was simple and I did not need an extender with this (my old router did!). I live in a house with a basement & an upstairs and I was able to get a signal on all levels. It may be a bit pricey but it seems like you pay for what you get!

I run my business out of my home and high speed internet is a must. Replaced an old Belkin router with this bad boy and Netflix streams better and at a higher quality, Online gaming has less lag, and downloads are faster. Range is excellent! Setup was a breeze. No complaints best router I've had. Always loved the NetGear routers.

Had some problems with my existing Linksys router dropping wireless devices off the internet Went to Best Buy to see what options might be available and ask the sales associate for recommendations. The Nighthawk was suggested. Bought it and the setup was extremely simple, the signal is great, and no more dropped signals.

Fast speed, great range and excellent connectivity. I have the router as my primary router and have another router cascading from as an access point. Works great. My only complaint so far is the network map is pretty weak. Also if you do need tech support its basic level 1 type help, so if you are even somewhat tech savvy with routers and networking and need some advanced help you will be sorely disappointed.

This router is easy enough to set up even with a tablet. The security is a snap, which is a good thing because the range on the 2.4G channel is strong enough that I can connect 3 houses away. It's pricey, but similar to any other max-speed dual channel AC router. I'm not sure how the physical size compares to other AC or N routers, but if upgrading from a G router, be aware if you have space constraints, this is much bigger. Features that aren't necessary but nice to have: On/Off switch (so you can turn it off without having to pull the plug) and web-based re-start. Overall, I'm nothing but pleased with this purchase.

Bought this router because it seemed as though my old router was lacking the performance. It was! I was amazed at the performance of this new router and my son and I usually get over 150 Mbs a second on WiFi! The old router could barely crack 70 Mbs. Hook up with easy as pie and programming was just as easy! Great router for a good price! I highly recommend this!
