I’m on the fence about this. I was expecting better WiFi then I get, it goes down ALOT more than I expected and too hard to get everything going again...wouldn’t buy again really. Unless you’re tech savvy and know more. Which is pointless for people like me.

Lightning fast since I bought it no problems easy installation

Netgear Night Hawk wireless router rocks. It does everything it is advertised. I would recommend it to anyone!

2nd one I’ve purchased, first fried by a lightning strike (yes there was a surge protector but apparently it didn’t do its job). Works perfectly, I like the Nighthawk App too. Would purchase again. Highly recommended.

Works really well the Internet. The small sleek design actually blends with the decor instead of standing out like a big bulky object. Would recommend.

Matt was so friendly and full of great information. He made me feel comfortable and reassured that our privacy and security was as important to him as it is to us. The router has been working great without any problems at all.

I've been using this router for about 8 month now and it works as advertised. I haven't had any wifi drops or slowdowns. Although the range is less than I had hoped for.

reaches all places in my house. Nice option to have 5G network as well as regular as not all devices have 5G.

This router is amazing, pair it with cat6 cables you will not regret it.

I'm pleased with the performance of my Nexgear Router

I do not know how long the warranty for it but I am purchase in 2017 but now it not working good “on and off all day long” when I call the internet company they said the internet normal only the router on and off.

I am a Cisco Certified Network Engineer with a CCNP certification, so I know alot about switches and Routers. Why don't I buy a Cisco router? Well the professional routers and switches are bullet proof and solid as a rock but much too expensive and over kill for home use. The new Cisco home routers are good but I have been using Netgear home routers for a long time and just prefer them and the professional reviews seem to put this router and the Asus at the top of the charts. Being in IT for many years I do like Asus products, they are typically the best or top tier in their product line. That being said I could have went either way, both of them are top rated but I know Netgear better and that they update their equipment often which is what I typically do when I first purchase and install them, plus I check regularly for software updates. My experience with the Nigthhawk has been excellent without any issues what soever. I also stream alot of 1080p movies at home to my TV's in the house through a NAS hard drive connected to the router which is a good test for stability and I have not had any problems or frame drops. I work from home also have have lots of devices connected to the router and run all four wireless SSID's so I can control the traffic and keep data secure. I have not tested the VPN yet but will do in the future. The only minor gripe I could make is that I would prefer a standing version like my last Netgear router I had and the Asus design over the flatter lay down design and I don't know why they decided to put one USB 3.0 port in the front. I can say the distance range on this device has vastly improved over the last MIMO router I had which was one of the main reasons I upgraded to this one. I had to have another second wireless device to cover the farthest reaches of the house but not with the Nighthawk, not only does it reach the farthest corner of the house the signal strength to those devices have a very strong signal. The house is a two story just over 2600 sqft. Very powerful in every way for the money, and easy to set up. I would highly recommend this device to anyone but not everyone needs as much power or features as this one but if your reading this review and are thinking of purchasing it, you probably want this good of a router. If your a serious gamer this and the Asus RT-AC68U are the ones to get. (AC1900 Wireless Routers)

This router is worth every penny. My old router was bogged down by all the wireless devices in our home, this new router increase speed, range, and performance. At any given time I have the following connected wirelessly: PS4 XBox One PS Vita Fire Stick Tv 2 iPads 2 iPhones Samsung Smart LED TV Sony Blu Ray Player 2 Nintendo 3Ds Etc. With dual band tech I can play COD on my Xbox while someone else streams HD video - all this while several other devices are connected.

Bought this to replace router that was three years old. I wanted increased range and increased speed. Ran speed test before and after changing the routers. It increased both the upload and download speed substantially (10mbps higher for download and 2 mbps higher for upload) and there is nowhere in my house (approx 3000 sq ft) where I get less than full bars on the wifi indicator. Was easy to set up, and has both 5g and 2.4. Not sure about which to use, so I keep some wireless devices on 2.4 band and others on the 5. The only downside is it is quite a monster relative to my last router, but luckily I have it in a room where nobody really sees it.

This is a great overall router. Speed is good, setup was really easy. I like the two frequencies with 2.4 and 5 GH. The range is great in our house as it passes through more than 5 walls to get back to our bedroom. Even there we have good wifi service. No complaints with this router. Have not had to reset this router one time to have new devices get access and router has not locked up since purchase. Almost a month of non stop working with no internet loss and resets.

I previously had a less expensive Netgear wireless router and moved into a two story home from a single story. The coverage was OK but in some upstairs bedrooms, coverage was lost as well as lost coverage in the basement. The router was positioned on the first floor, but close to an outer wall. I had enough of lost connections so did my research and chose this Netgear router; I am extremely satisfied with the purchase. The setup is much better. I have my wifi on lockdown and this system makes it so much easier to setup guest networks, allow new devices into the network, etc. I must also add that I've reduce lag on my XBOX one quite a bit. It still exists but at least I am playing much better in online multiplayer games. Highly recommend this router.

Sucks. It’s meant to have at least 12 devices on it and supposed to run VIDEO GAMES with no issues but it does nothing BUT give me issues. Would not recommend.
