This router is very fast and can handle all of the devices we have in this home office and the demand from the home. It was simple to setup and has a handy app that allows for changes via a smartphone.

Before i had the cheapest router money can buy, but i wanted something faster. So i purchased the most expensive one with the best reviews for $400 some dollars and didn't get what i paid for. The speed increased a little but the range didn't extend at all.

This router easily handles the multiple users in our home. The wife and I will be streaming a movie downstairs, the daughter will be watching Netflix downstairs, and the XBoxOne will be updating in the basement, all without interfering with each other. You have to activate the Quality of Service feature as well as the Smart Connect feature, but this is pretty easy to do. The only problem I had was I couldn't get the built-in Speedtest feature to work, and this appears to be a consistent problem. I simply opened a separate window and ran a speedtest myself and input the results. Not a big deal, but I would have liked it if the equipment worked as advertised. Other than that, I love this thing.

I can't tell you how horrible the app is that is used to communicate with this router. I often have to reboot it and when I upgraded the firmware it would not work with any apple device. I contacted support and no one could figure it out. I ended up upgrading the firmware to a custom one and got it functioning again. I do like that you can set it up as a plex server, it was a bit of an annoyance to set it up but it does work reliably. It also has VPN built into it (Which works as expected). For the amount of money I spent on this I would have thought it to be superior as being reliable but it hasn't. I waited this long to post a review in hopes that things would get better sadly I no longer bother using this router. Netgear support is awesome with creating tickets and "trying" to help and it's cool that in the app you can see when your warranty expires. Sometimes, service doesn't matter if you can't get your product working as it should. I've rated the quality of it excellent because picking it up it feels like a tank (So don't drop it on your feet!! value was poor because it's way too expensive and doesn't work as it should with OEM firmware. Ease of use is poor also due to the app used to communicate with it. Alternatively; you can always navigate to the web portal of the router and i recommend this over using the nighthawk app.

Upgraded from the X8 from a few years ago and this is a great product. Easy to install, was able to copy the older config file and import. The range is what I wanted and speeds are right on par!

60GHZ wifi, like McDonalds - Im loving it. This router simply works. Simple setup and configuration. Netgear app also works well. Could use some more security features but other than that awesome.

I needed a smart router that would help me stream and control my 4k screen. I'm not the only person in my house who uses the internet so I need a netgear. I have zero problems now. If you're serious about getting a router, get this one.

Fast and tri-band is great. Paired with 9 devices and a range extender for hard wire to server. Works great. Keep firmware updated as speeds suffer greatly if you do not.

Awesome speed for downloading, streaming, and gaming. However it's claim to provide extra coverage is not entirely true in my home. I have a 3600 sqft home, that has weak signal in the bedrooms which are furthest away (approx 200 ft) from our conventional router. I considered moving our router to a more center location to increase signal strength, but I opted to spend the money to purchase the Netgear Nighthawk 10. I was immediately impressed with it's more than capable speeds, however when it came to the distance issue, it did not increase the signal strength we had already achieved using our previous conventional router. So, I am somewhat disappointed that I dropped the kind of money I did, thinking I was going to obtain the better signal strength and extended distance capabilities that Netgear claimed in it's description of the product.

Upgraded from the N900 to the X10 and the speed and range is noticeable when streaming 1080P to my projector and streaming 4K to the tv. There's no loading time and the image looks great.

Reliable and has a wide range. Pricey, but you do get what you paid for it. Have not had any problems or issues. Max speeds are reached.

This router is excellent, it is much faster and I am now able to stream video and play games via Wifi with no problems.

I bought this router because my other router was old and couldn't handle the numerous wireless smart home devices when I added them. After purchasing this router I could immediately notice the difference. I would recommend this if you are planning on having multiple wireless devices.

I love this router. It is a beast and handles the workload with no issues... I have 10 computers using internet and this thing screams.

I purchased the Netgear NightHawk X-10 Router on Cyber Monday. Installed it the next day and it cleared up all my Network Connectivity issues I was having in my 3000 sq ft home. It also cleared up issues I was having with my Ring outside Camera system. This router is a "Keeper"

Easy to set up and works great most of the time. Occasionally and just with the phones, it will have authentication errors. The signal is very good quality though

This R9000 replaced a R8000 router with a noticeable improvement. It was an easy install. I feel somewhat future proofed due to the next generation AD capability.
