Customers are saying

Customers praise the Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router for its impressive range, strong performance, and ease of setup, resulting in excellent coverage and signal strength, great for streaming and other demanding applications. However, some customers note that the router is expensive and large, and a few have experienced issues with the firmware. Despite these drawbacks, many users find the improved speed and reliability worthwhile.

Not a computer guy did 3 different test from different points of the house. Double the speed from the my current router. No worries Best Buy said if it don’t meet your requirements bring it back.

I get really fast speeds with the Night Hawk 10. However like all routers, don't think it will be a whole lot better than a average router thru walls. Walls will show down even the most expensive routers.

Best router on the market!!!! We needed some that would blast our WiFi a long distance radius as we have a farm and need WiFi to run our cameras. This router definitely does the job!!! Very impressed!!

This router is totally worth the price. If your household has ipads(4), phones(6), Xbox(2), ps4(2), laptops(2) and we never have a problem with WiFi with All things running at once. I recommend

This router is top notch. I partnered it with two EX7000 NightHawk extenders and I have full power coverage throughout my 3600 Sq ft home as well as my backyard and about ½ a block from my house.

I have had so many hi-end routers over the years... This is by far the best. I have over 50 devices connected, wired and hardwired. And there are an extreme amount of settings and flexibility.

Excellent Router but AD Radio adds little value

I bought as an upgrade over my R8000 Router. Router performed well and latest firmware (beta) had good dynamic QoS. Having the AD radio was overkill since I have no AD adapters nor do I see a significant movement to AD given the short range. Overall I would recommend the R8500 which has two AC radios which provides greater flexibility and options. If you decide on this router be sure to read up on 802.11AD.

Replaced the top of the line Linksys EA9400 Tri-Band Wireless-AC5000 The Linksys Router did not deliver the fast speeds as advertised. The Netgear did deliver. I have no complaints. This router is the best!

Before this Nighthawk purchase, I had to run wires from one end of the house to the other to cover most of the dead zones. Now, with help from an extender, I am free to move about at will, with no wires at all.

I recently replace my NETGEAR X6 Nighthawk which I never had a problem out of, but wanted to upgrade to the new X10. Wow! This thing is lightning fast with no hiccups at all and I love the built in Plex server!

Great product, the largest downside was/is the price - at time of purchase, price was quite high for a consumer router; but has been great so far, for what I need it to be/do.

The R9000 is one of the pricey routers on the market however it delivers and is very stable and future proof. Netgear quality, great service to boot make this a well recommended router.

I purchased this router as a replacement to my old ASUS RT-AC68R, because speed of old router was not enough for 1Gbps internet I recently got. NETGEAR - Nighthawk X10 got 4 core 1.7GHz CPU and should cover all my needs. First impression of new router was excellent, but when I tried to set some restrictions for my home network in the same way I have with my old router, it becomes a nightmare. Pros: 1) excellent piece of hardware way advanced to competitors. 2) Has 60GHz 802.11ad support, but it's useless right now. 3) Has 10Gbps Ethernet connector, I'm not sure it could be using for home networking right now. 4) It supports aggregation of two gigabit LAN ports for wired perf improvement, but it requires support from other equipment and pretty useless for me Contras: 1) Worst firmware ever. Sometimes it's even hangs in UI after some settings updated and to revive router you need to perform power cycle. 2) Parental control requires extra software need to be installed on client system and has very limited set of restrictions (mostly not useful) available in router UI. 3) Router is quite loud if it's actively using. If network has significant loading, active cooling system in the router turn on noisy fan. For final words I would like to say that Netgear created an excellent hardware, but it's software is a piece of junk. Maybe, some enthusiast would use WRT third party firmware in this router and it makes router more user friendly, but I don't want to fix such problems by myself in very expensive piece of equipment which expected to be perfect for the price I paid. PS So, I checked online reviews for this router and I regret that I haven't checked them prior the purchase.

I bought this router because I wanted to upgrade my Plex server and I just moved into a big two story house. This route has performed way over expectations and I'm glad I purchased it
