    Plenty of room to grow, as far as ports. Wi-fi works great throughout the home by itself, no need for an extender.

    For your 400 dollar investment, you get: *Firmware that BREAKS functionality of security options, such as access control and personal NAS /External storage, Network Map and more. *Support that tells you there is no plan to fix this yet, BUT if you'll pay them for paid support, when there is news of an update, they'll be happy to help you install update when it is made GA. I cannot strongly enough express my disappointment with Netgear and the lack of support for the router. The Netgear user forums are filled with countless complaints about the lack of fixes for this router (wish I had read those first, instead of tech reviews.). In short, go with something that actually works and is supported. Me, I regret not sticking with ASUS.
