Customers are saying

Customers praise the Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router for its impressive range, strong performance, and ease of setup, resulting in excellent coverage and signal strength, great for streaming and other demanding applications. However, some customers note that the router is expensive and large, and a few have experienced issues with the firmware. Despite these drawbacks, many users find the improved speed and reliability worthwhile.

I didn't care for this router simply because it was overkill, speeds were okay would prefer the Orbi over this anyday

Over rated. The one AT&T supplied work as the same. I though I was going to see a great improvement but not at all. Could had use the $400 in something better.

It was amazing at the beginning. Suddenly features stopped working like Plex... Who cares, I didn't need it then my network drive wasn't found anymore... And yet wasn't the main purpose so I didn't care... Until few months ago, now my wifi keeps disconnecting every so often. Do not buy this overpriced thing, will work for few months then fail

I had this router for 4 months. The firmware upgrade kills the ACL and other security protocols so you can't add devices to your router. No fixes. After 90 days Netgear will not help you unless you pay for service. I tried to contact them to purchase the upgraded plan and all I get is no access. Don't waste your money.

The WiFi network isn’t ready for this router. Dropped internet all the time. Need to wait to get this router. It will be amazing in about a year or two. Processor handled all the connections while it lasted. Like I mentioned it will be amazing in the future.

Where do the problems start, I have worked on networks, built p.c.'s and have a vast majority of tech knowledge, the firmware is completely messed up and netgear has had multiple issues, I've had everything from it dropping wifi and lan as well. I will be returning it very soon.

I was kind of disappointed in this router. As my netgear 1900ac worked better than the new x. Range and speed worked better on my old router so I returned the x because I was not happy. It may work better for someone else but in my case after spending a ton of time with tech support they could not help me. I returned item. Hope it works better for you.

As a non-gamer with a very fast internet connection I had hoped for a more noticeable boost in speed.

I have the router for eight months with no problems. Then I was prompted to install a firewall update which I did and that update caused my router to crash. Then when I tried to get a hold of customer service to fix the problem I found out after 90 days you have to pay $100 to be able to talk to a customer service person on the phone. So after spending that money I spent four hours on the phone with them trying to update my rider which did not work and now they’re have to send me a replacement which will take 5 to 10 business days. Once I receive the new router I have to purchase a service plan through them to allow them to update it for me. What a joke after spending so much money on a router you should expect to have a little bit better customer service than that since it was their update that crashed the router the first time. Beware do not buy any products from Netgear.
