Customers are saying

Customers praise the Nighthawk X10 AD7200 Tri-Band Wi-Fi Router for its impressive range, strong performance, and ease of setup, resulting in excellent coverage and signal strength, great for streaming and other demanding applications. However, some customers note that the router is expensive and large, and a few have experienced issues with the firmware. Despite these drawbacks, many users find the improved speed and reliability worthwhile.

I went from 100mb to 350mb down and up with the same hardware and software solutions I already had. Worth the money.

This router is by far the fastest AC router I have owned however one major complaint is outdated and minimal features available in the stock firmware. Also custom firmware dd-wrt are not quite a stable and feature friendly as I would prefer.

My Asus router died (second one) so I wanted to switch brands . This thing is a beast....while a little pricey the features make it worth the extra cash. The wireless range is amazing as well. I have a 2 story 3000 sqft home and I have not weak spots. I was able to remove all of my repeaters this thing is so good!

Finally! No more buffering! Since we bought this Netgear Nighthawk X10 Wi-Fi router we haven't had a need for the range extenders any longer. We can stream movies while the grandkids play video games in the game room on the second floor. I call it the cadillac of routers! Definitely worth the money.

We needed a new router to take advantage of Giga speed coming to our home. This router is one of the few that can suppor Giga speeds, and the only one that can be used as an access point. Our Verizon router assigns IP addresses so this device is set to be an access point. Blazing fast!!!! But expensive

This router replaces a Netgear Nighthawk R8000 Wireless router, that while good, did not have enough coverage for my home and I would have to frequently have to reboot it. Since getting the X10, I have had 0 issues with coverage and have not had to reboot it once. Also, I am getting the fastest throughput I have ever gotten with my wireless service. My wife and I have over 15 connected devices and none of them are starved for bandwidth.

This router is supposed to be the latest and greatest so I bought it at $399. What I now come to realize is that its more then I needed actually. It has the new 60GHz band but I don't have anything that uses it so I could have went with a cheaper model. As far as setup it was easy, I like that there is an option to automatically choose between 2.4 and 5 GHz whichever is better for the situation so it makes connections simpler and more reliable. The VPN and ready share feature has some issues, I can't seem to make a reliable connection, it keeps stalling and has very slow transfer rates and needs to be constantly reconnected. Don't get me wrong it's a great router but just more then I think the average user will need. I would recommend it conditionally only for someone who needs the latest tech (802.11 AD) and future compatibility. For everyone else save your money and get a $200 router.

I have a need for devices that stream at the same time without a decrease in speed, along with gaming, a business and a smart home. This router can handle it all without hesitation or dropping any signals. It's pricey, but I'd happily pay for not having the trouble of losing signal.

I purchased this router to replace a 5 year old Netgear router that wasn't able to keep up with the growing number of WiFi enabled devices in my home. This router handles everything with no issues. Streaming, Gaming it handles all with ease. It is on the expensive end but worth it.

It was fairly easy to set up and get running, it does cover my whole house (3500 sq ft) and it has many options that I don't have a clue what they are or how to make those options work. Either way, it does work good and was a great purchase, even though it was quite pricey.

Bought this to replace my X8 also from Netgear. Roughly the same footprint, much faster bootup and more stable web interface. Setup was quick and painless. Wish there was a way to take advantage of the 60ghz wifi band though. All in all happy with the coverage and performance!

We have a large house and our router doesn’t reach everywhere. We added this one to reach the rooms in the attic and the bedroom on the far end of the house. This is as good as all the reviews I read. It was very easy to set up and we’ve had no problems at all. Highly recommend!

Item looks like something from Star Wars. Relatively easy setup and seems to work very well. Handles heavy traffic well. I upgraded to this unit to support my Ring floodlight cams but ended up returning the cams as they didn’t work very well. Item is pricey.

This is an awesome router. Configuration was easy. The setup was guided by the software but a custom configuration is available as well. The speed is phenomenal. I was constantly getting dropped signals with my Apple router. This one is located upstairs and covers my entire home with ease.
