Replaced an old Linksys E3000 that was intermittently dropping WIFI and wired connections. I like to be able to tweak everything (static IP's, port forwarding, etc.) and the browser based setup utility covers all the bases. This router eliminated the need for my range extender. The signal strength measured by our Blue-ray player went from about 65-70% to over 90%.

Easy setup Wi-Fi range is excellent This device so far has served and surpassed my needs with 10+ devices running at the same time. Held my demands for gaming, streaming and other media throughout the house (even the basement!!) Netgear made a masterpiece here, this device is to be memorialized

I was amazed on how fast this router is, and also how easy it is to setup.

I bought this router to try to get a better signal through the walls of my apartment. doesn't quite have the signal strength at times, but I've never been disconnected from my internet while online either. So, in that respect, the netgear nighthawk x6 does its job. I've never had to reset it due to any inherent defects in this product, and I don't think I ever will either.

Perfect for two story homes, super fast and great range. Easy to set up

Previously I had always had wi-fi routers from the internet service provider, but the local provider only supplied the standard router. So I had to go and purchase my own, which is something I had never purchased before. I decided to research based on my desire to stream to smart TV's, tablets, phones, etc. all over my home. I didn't want any wi-fi dead spots and also didn't want to have to purchase any range extenders. I live in a 4 bedroom home and exclusively stream content (no satellite or cable TV). This router was simple to setup and has been outstanding, the signal is strong all throughout the house and I have had no interruptions on anything. The only downside is the cost, but I wanted to future proof myself a bit and see myself having this for a lot of years ahead.

I've been an Apple router guy for the past 5-6 years with no issues. After I installed a wireless surveillance system, the Apple AirPort Extreme and Express that I was using wasn't adequate for carrying the bandwidth over the 2.4 Ghz band. So I opted to replace it with the NetGear Nighthawk AC3200. Its tri-band acts as three routers in one utilizing one 2.4Ghz band and two 5Ghz bands allowing you to separate/distribute your bandwidth per device(s) either manually or automatically. Thus isolating the surveillance system on the 2.4 band and putting our phones, tablets, AppleTV, laptop on the 5Ghz band, I see a zero loss in speed/performance. Streaming Sling TV it has yet to stop and buffer at all. Though it is pricey, it does as advertised and I've been very pleased with the results.

I used this unit to replace the built in Wifi router provided by AT&T for Uverse service. I ran a speed check prior to installing the Netgear and found that I was getting 11mbps download (my service is 45mbps but only wired connections are guaranteed). I installed the Netgear, and reran the speed test from the same computer and it went up to 40mbps. I'm VERY pleased.

Incredible happy with this router. Dramatic improvement in speed, stability and range from my old Apple Time capsule. Very easy to set up and monitor. Definitely worth the money.

Installing device was easy. This is my third Netgear product and I have always been satisfied. This unit was like adding octane to your old car. It makes my devices faster and it really makes my equipment operate better.

I was in desperate need for an upgrade to my home router. I was having issues consistently stream HD videos, and I had WIFI lack of coverage issues in my house (over 5k sq ft). After installing the Nighthawk, streaming and coverage issues have disappeared! If you want the best, this is it!

We had lots of problems with connectivity with my previous router. We had 4 cell phones, 4 iPads, 3 laptops and two TVs streaming. Lots of problems before! All gone now! Now we can use all of our devices while streaming in two rooms and everything is perfect! This was a great purchase!

This router has everything-Speed -Long Coverage And Three Bands Covers 2800 square feet even thru block walls!!!!! Easy Setup /Easy Install/Up And Going in less Than 20 minutes will buy this again!!!! 100% GREAT!!!!!!

Easy setup and has fast speed great all around router

Best buy representative recommended this router due to the fact that I live rural and have an office inside the house and my husband has his outside next to the garage. Needed a router that could reach both areas as well as all the TV's and computers in the house. She was very knowledgeable and really spent the time with me comparing other routers with me.
