Horrendous set up out of the box!! It took over 90 minutes to set up and the speed is awful!! I've had Orbi for a couple years now and not being able to split my band really is not cool for being such an expensive system.

It worked initially but then no longer worked. Waited a few days and hooked it up again. It worked for a few days then it quit again. Went back to old router.

This product has been a great addition for my house hold. The coverage for the entire home has made things great and also added distanced to our home

Not sure how much of a role this plays but I don’t have lag time on anything I do or watch in my house anymore.

I’ve had the Orbi system for about a week now. I previously had two other competitor mesh systems, so I’m familiar with their benefits and flaws. So far, the performance of the Orbi surpasses the others I’ve tried. The good: Orbi works well, it’s reliable, and it seems to provide wide coverage (4200 sq. ft. house backyard). The bad: The set-up process was frustrating. It wasn’t difficult, but it was unreliable. It failed the first 3 times, which required me to restart the process (including repeatedly unplugging and re-plugging in each “node” on different floors).

This Wi Fi Router and Satellites greatle enhanced coverage and we now have enhanced speeds that i didnt know we had we had,Highly recommend .

To hard to install. Google WiFi is a much better.

Love this system is absolutely the best. We have a 3400 soft home and not only is the signal strong all over the house but it is also strong two doors down at our neighborhood park. Recommend this 100 times.

Great system. Easy to set up, allows us to unitize rhe full speed of our wifi without throttling. This system can handle a huge house.

Easy install.for myself. Owend other Orbi pros mesh so I had little to no isues getting it up and running.

This product delivers! Provides strong signal strength in a rural, poor wifi service area.

My Geek squad recommended the unit To solve a coverage problem I was having. The unit worked great ad solved my problem. Investing in a Geek Squad membership was a very good investment for me. The techs name is Hector located in the Chico store.

The Orbi system has been largely disappointing. After one of my Asus routers died (from extreme environmental conditions), I sprung for the Orbi to get the improved speed/coverage, and I thought Netgear would have a good back-end without having to fiddle around with flashing custom firmware. The initial Orbi setup was straightforward, but I had an issue with one the satellites right from the start but didn’t think much of it as most of my coverage needs at the time were being met between the router and the functioning satellite. Now that I have additional IoT devices ranging further afield, I wanted to get the faulty satellite working. I tried factory resetting and opened a warranty case with Netgear to troubleshoot or replace, but after several weeks getting the same generic “reset the router”, “re-sync the satellite”, etc nonsense from Netgear, I’m ready to throw in the towel, because I don’t have the time for this BS. Based on the performance of the router and functioning satellite, I think the Orbi system is very solid when it works, but if you get a lemon, return it ASAP or you will get jacked around by Netgear and not get a replacement. The app and web-based admin portal are pretty weak, particularly if you’ve had an Asus or other router with more advanced functionality. You can revoke network access for devices but can’t allow local access without internet access. All the parental controls and traffic monitoring require a subscription which is ridiculous. It’s fair to say that I made an ill-informed (and expensive) purchase, so I thought I’d write a review to prevent others from making the same mistake. If you just want to set it and forget and get great coverage, this is probably a good option, but if you have any issues during the initial setup, RETURN IT IMMEDIATELY. If you want some semblance of network control without paying for a subscription, find something else. And if you have to make a warranty claim, I hope you have better luck than me.

This system has vastly improved my wifi throughout my home. This has helped overcome all the plaster that my older home has as well as provide a stronger signal outside of my home even with my aluminum siding.

Excellent setup by the Geek Squad! This "nest" product has expanded my network and appreciably helped speed-up the connections.

When the router/satelites are up, they are great. Blazing fast, in fact. But if the power goes out, THEY ARE A PAIN IN THE BUTT trying to add back to your network/modem. Before you buy, google "Orbi IP configuration failure when power goes out". Sure wish i would have know this prior to purchasing. During these December 2022 power outages, this Orbi has been begging me to smash it in the driveway...YES its that frustrating trying to get it up and running. Every site says, "just powere cycle it". WHATEVER! Then they say, "reset it" WHATEVER! Ive dont both and still ready to smash it. Dont get me wrong, Im a Netgear guy, and have been 4 a very long time (have routers, APs, switches, etc.), but troubleshooting this thing is beyond me. Cust Support is a joke. Called and cant get a resolution...even tho many many people have had the same issue. To me, the Orbi has a bug that needs to be worked out. The past 2 weeks fooling with this mesh has made me NOT a netgear guy anymore. Will be purchasing a diff brand from this point on

We had slow speed connections and this worked out great!

Really good app that makes this simple once connected. But did take a little time to get up an running.
