Had purchased for my parents instead of the Eero to save myself a few bucks. Beautifully packaged and I love the satellite plugin option, however there is a well-known issue with Orbi and Apple TVs. While Netgear acknowledges the issue with connectivity between Orbi and Apple TVs (some apple devices as well), no solid fix has been made available. So I returned this and got the Eero on a great price at Amazon (albeit, first-gen but very similar in features).

This Wi-Fi system was purchased to enhance the signal strength for the Arlo Wi-Fi security system.
I have a ranch style home and two of the cameras, the garage and front door are the furthest away from the home office (68 feet). Thus giving a signal strength of 1 or 2 bars on a good day with the garage camera going off line more times then I can remember. As far as the Arlo system goes I have tried everything to increase signal strength without having to purchase a router. After 6 months I finally broke down and purchased the Orbi. Instead of me installing the Orbi I had Geek Squad do it. After nearly 2hrs the tech couldn't increase the signal on any of the cameras. It did increase the signal strength on the cell phone. The tech recommended a different system which I may try at later date.
This Orbi was returned.

I was talked into buying this from a Cox representative at Best Buy. I should have known not to listen to him as I do hate Cox. As soon as my contract is over, I'm switching. These didn't do anything special, and I did not notice any change in my wifi speed and connectivity. I returned it to buy something $100 cheaper, and it works much better.

I bought this Orbi system as I have a Netgear DSL Router Modem Combo. I have installed this and reinstalled it according to the directions a total of 14 times. I emailed Netgear technical support. It said you would get a response with 48 hours. It was over 10 days before I received a response.
The first response told me to do the same things I'd already done. I emailed again. The second response gave slightly different directions. I followed them 6 times. I was never able to get the satellite to operate at all. The main unit did not operate properly either. I'm not a beginner. I have built my own desktop computer with no problems. I was not able to get this system to work but Best Buy would not take it back as it was past the 14 day return period because Netgear took so long to get back to me. I have a set of $200 paperweights.

Great router with simple setup

The Orbi app made setup very simple and pain free. I have AT&T Uverse, so the hardest part of setup was configuring the IP Passthrough of the AT&T provided router (no fault of NETGEAR).
We've been very happy with the router so far. We have a lot of devices on our wifi (Arlo cameras, smart lights, Nest, etc.) and had been experiencing a lot of lag and buffering with just our AT&T UVerse router. Since installing the Orbi, we haven't had any issues with buffering and have had much better results when streaming movies and sports through AppleTV. The included satellite has been great as well. We've used wifi extenders in the past, but the satellite works a lot better and is a lot more simple and straight forward than trying to use wifi extenders.
I received Orbi for free from NETGEAR as part of a review and test program.

I bought this after being told it was what I needed for a 3 story house. It didn't take too long to set up. However the range was terrible and the satellite Wi-Fi lost its connection every couple minutes. I took it back.

The solution for consistent WiFi

I was excited to try this router to expand my WiFi coverage throughout my home. My house is 2680 square feet, and I have connectivity issues upstairs and on the far end of my house - forget about coverage outside, or even in the garage. The Orbi WiFi system gave me consistent, complete coverage for my entire home and garage, and expanded outside coverage to the point I can mow my quarter acre lot while streaming a podcast without missing a beat.
Setup was simple. While I'm used to configuring lots of settings from a browser-based setup tool, it was nice to get this up and running without swapping lots of cables around and navigating through a chunky UI. The Orbi includes a simple app that would walk anyone through the setup (if you don't like the app-based setup, there is full support for traditional setup). It took a few minutes to download firmware updates, and I was in business. However, despite the quick and easy setup, it is capable of robust functionality. I set up parental controls with OpenDNS, a guest network, and email alerts for security events. Wi-Fi Multimedia Quality of Service (WMM QoS) was automatically enabled and easily configured for 2.4 and 5GHz separately, which is nice as I have a bit of other traffic for security systems, thermostats, etc that I wanted to tweak. There were lots of other options and functionality I don't use and didn't test, but most users should have plenty of features to support they way they plan to use this router.
Performance was top notch, with consistent speeds all around my home - I couldn't find a "slow" spot in the house. Outside, I saw speeds begin to drop off, but not enough for me to lose my podcast while working in the yard. While we're not power users, my family frequently uses several devices at once (computer games, streaming TV, Plex server on a NAS serving media, and two-three phones), and all devices maintain consistent, usable speed with the Orbi.
As I've tried to use WiFi extenders in the past, both in my home and my parents' home, I found them almost unusable as devices don't seamlessly switch between the separate networks created by the router and the extender. I didn't have to worry about that with the Orbi, as the satellite and the router acts as one big network.
If you need a larger network that can seamlessly handle multiple devices, I recommend the Orbi WiFi System.
I received a Orbi AC2200 Tri-Band Whole Home WiFi System for free in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own.
