WiFi Problems are gone
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was using a Netgear wireless router and extender for the last 2 years and constantly suffered the drops and disconnects of the extender. I looked at the different mesh options available and decided on the Orbi 53. The setup was easy and the 2 units synchronized quickly. I was up and running in about 15 minutes and then spent another 20 or so redoing the settings on our phones, tablets, computers, ring doorbell and blu-ray players. I have full strength WiFi throughout the house and my neighbor told me he could see my network from inside his house (luckily it is secured). Our only issue is that my wife's phone drops off the network every now and then but all other devices have not experienced drops.

Great Coverage and very fast
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup wasn't difficult and has options for somewhat more advanced users. This was the only choice for a mesh network with more than one physical Ethernet port ....even on the satalite. I set it up for my parents and can monitor the security from my house. It does take a bit of time to update and reboot but that's me looking for a complaint. To me, worth the money. It's blazingly fast...huge help for my parents streaming.

Works Great in a Multilevel Home
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My parents have had a router for many years, but they noticed that it has been dropping connections to newer devices (like iPads) that use the 802.11ac standard. I experienced the drops myself and it was clear the router was dying, even after reboots, firmware updates, etc. It was time to bury it. After spending days and way too many hours reading tons of reviews, I kept coming across "mesh" networks as the new future of wireless home networking. Every single site I found, from widely known tech sites to uber-geeky tech sites put Netgear's Orbi at the top of their list. Plus it got huge praise for it's 3rd dedicated band that lets the units talk only to each other. While it definitely costs more than a standard router, it simply works great. With over 12+ wireless devices in their home (and more on the way), they have a strong single on all levels of the home. I even could pick up their network in the yard and at the end of their driveway. The router and access point IS big, but they have a very understated design. My mom likes to keep a very uncluttered home, and the look of this didn't bother her at all. It's much preferred to the crazy looks of some newer routers. If you're looking for something to blanket your home with a great signal for lots of newer devices, get this. I also love that they keep pushing out new features and upgrades with their firmware updates. I am a bit worried about the level of support they offer after 90 days, so I put this on a credit card that gives an extra year of purchase protection (many cards do this now). So I feel safer. Plus I read positive reviews pretty much everywhere. Tip: II DID have problems logging into this to set it up for the first time. It turned out it was Kaspersky blocking me from accessing the IP required. After 30 minutes of trouble shooting, once I turned off Kaspersky, the setup was a breeze. Definitely recommend this wifi system!

Good value
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This nest type router works good. I had for a year. While it has good connection, this router does drop connection a least a couple times a week. The app is terrible. The unit does come with one satellite but if I had to do it over I would get the one with two satellite because in order to purchase another satellite expect to pay around $200. Which is a rip-off. I would recommend betting eero instead of this. Not impressed for the price it sells for.

So far so good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a last resort. Have tried so many. I think this it. Easy to set up. Have the orbi in my bedroom, and satelite on the second floor. All my devices get connected no problem. Very happy with it. I highly recommend it. I have 3800sq ft home. There is no lagged time for my grankids playing nintendo. My ring cameras outside the yard are online, no problem. Recommended it to my sister and also bought one.

Perfect Solution for Heavy Web Use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy setup.Work seamlessly with FIOS.All my cams works smooth - no more drop out even when one cam is at the farthest of the house. Connections have been stable through and through even with 4 devices streaming at the same time. Should have purchased this months ago. I choose the one with the longest range as I prefer to have more room to work with due to my house set up. I put them on picture ledge mounted on the wall and it looks like part of the wall deco!

Great so far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Right out of the box it provides a faster, more stable, farther-reaching connection than with my prior router/extender combo. I went from a Linksys EA6350 router and a Linksys extender (both less than a year old) to the Orbi because of constant frustration having to switch between the router and extender, inconsistent signal, slow speeds, etc. I am not quite getting the speeds my cable modem provides but I haven't done any tweaking yet. Even then it is an improvement. Worth it so far!

Easy WIFI router
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You do not have to be a computer geek to set it up. Orbi does extend WIFI coverage. We have a small 1100 square foot home and we have coverage through out our home and outside as well. We did not get this kind of coverage from our old router and we would have to reset it often. The Orbi stays connected. It costs more but you do get better coverage and speed. If you are looking to add coverage and speed to your WIFI network then you should take a look at Orbi.

Whole home wifi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the past I have used wifi extenders with limited success. From time to time depending what else was going on on the network I would get a lot of buffering while trying to stream movies and sometimes I would lose the signal altogether. There were also certain parts of the house where the wifi signal was very weak. Orbi has solved all of these problems. Having the dedicated separate channel between the two units eliminates slow downs. Orbi I has met or exceeded all of my expectations.

Finally an answer for speed and distance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This setup is great. My house is 3150 square feet with a lot of hard materials that are hard to penetrate for wifi signals. I have one where my internet comes in and the other on the other side of the house and have perfect connectivity while also not having to worry about roaming between multiple wireless networks. Highly recommend. Very easy to setup too. Only negative I would say is that each unit only has 4 physical ports which is tough for a lot of people to fill up though.....

Works great!
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have an old brick and stone townhouse with thick plaster walls. The Fios router is downstairs in the basement at the front of the house. Even on the main floor at the back of the house the WiFi was so weak.... The Orbi saved the day. This contraption is not cheap but it does an amazing job! It only took a few minutes to set up and what a difference! Now we get 300+ on the top floor of the house! Highly recommended!

Amazing speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this system to overcome the dead spots and slow speeds experienced by using our old router. It is placed at one end of the house and is subject to excessive use by 6 kids and their friends. The orbi system completely eliminated the dead spots and speed is out of this world. At least 3 times faster than our old high end router. Setup was quick and seamless. Haven't had all the kids here yet to test it under stress but so far I'm very impressed. A great purchase.

Awesome range and speed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my upgrade to a home mesh network! I had a repeater configuration previously and never got the coverage and speed that I had expected or hoped. After a year of playing with configurations and placements I have up and now have the Orbi mesh network and am so happy with how easy it was to set up and the range I get with it now. Stability is also top notch. Never needed to restart the router like I used to every few weeks prior.

Knocks your wifi into Orbi---t
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is THE best wifi router I have ever owned. I live in a 2 story 1800sq ft townhouse. My old router was good but I always lost a signal when out on my back patio. My router is located in my upstairs office at the front of the house. I kept the router in the same spot and added the satelite downstairs in the living room. The signal is so great I not only get it on my back patio and then some. I even get it on my phone across the street and several feet in any direction.

Set it and forget it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After you get them all connected and running, there is no more hassle to it. I have had them up and running for months and have not had to adjust them, reboot them or even think about them. I did end up moving one to my first floor to cover it better, but the main router is on my third floor. After moving it, I plugged it in and it booted up and reconnected to the group. Now my WiFi covers my entire house and my yard.

Best WiFi our there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I returned google WiFi to get this Orbi. I have a 4000sqft house. The Orbi is three times faster. It penetrates walls 100% better and delivers exceptional speeds at a distance. I tested both for weeks and Orbi delivers 3 times faster speeds close and at a distance. Wired both were the same. WiFi was the difference which was significant. I have gigablast with Cox. Orbi was the reason I kept my gigablast. It makes what I pay for gig speed worth it.
