Customers are saying

Customers are impressed with the VueZone Add-On Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Motion Detection Video Camera's ease of use and quick installation. Many appreciate the reliable motion detection feature and the affordability of the system. However, some users note that the camera's image quality could be improved, particularly in low-light conditions. The zoom functionality also received some criticism.

    Good Starter Set

This is a good basic starter system. The picture quality is ok, not great, but not the worst video you've ever seen. These cameras require no wiring whatsoever and can be mounted anywhere so long is its within Wi-Fi range. They run off of those camera type 123 batteries. The camera only activates when you are watching remotely via your computer/smartphone or when you set the motion detection feature. You can set-up the motion detection feature to take still photos or record short video and alert you via email that it has been tripped. You can also manually take pictures/video as well remotely. If you want to see at night, you MUST have the IR light plugged in and pointing in the area of the camera view. The IR picture/video is much less quality than normal light but passable. If you want more than 2 cameras, you must subscribe to viewzone but you do get more storage capacity. All photos/video is stored on a cloud based platform that is tied to a viewzone account you create after purchase. There is no DVR. Simple to set up. If you lose internet, you lose cameras as it operates on home Wi-Fi. Not nearly as sophisticated as a hard wired set-up but if you're just looking for an easy set-up or experimenting with new security surveilance, this is a good system for start up. If you want to get something set up quick, this is a good product as well. You can have it box to running in literally minutes. Not complicated at all.

    Great Cameras - No Wires

I love these cameras. You can set the system up in about 5 minutes. No wires to run. You can place them almost anywhere. You can set up as little as 2 cameras or up to 16 off one base station. Recordings are stored at remote location so you don't have to worry about the DVR. Love the motion sensor settings and e-mail alerts. I highly recommend this system for home or office.

This is my 3rd camera. I have them throughout my house to keep an eye on my grandmother and her caregivers. You can set them up for live view or motion activated. You get free viewing but if you want stuff recorded and sent to your e-mail to review after your trial membership it's around $50 a year. If a room is dark you need the night vision one or make sure you leave the blinds open. Very simple to install.

This set up works great for what I purchased it for. Keeping eyes on my kids when upstairs in my home. This would be great for pets too when not at home. Very easy set up. I was up and running in no time. The only thing some my not like is that the battery life if viewed heavily. I was able to get over a month out of one camera that I viewed for long periods of time and I feel this is acceptable for a wireless set up.

I use these cameras (4) for my business. More to access & look @ my parking lot (3) & front Door (1). Does it record motion-YES. Would I use it for a "real" security system- NO. The range is not very far to detect motion & sometimes I have 50 recording of a reflection (sun lite) off the window but they are Cheap & the cost ($50 a yr.) to subscribe is cheap. Also note I have a 2nd account for my house (3) cameras.

I now have three daylight and one night vision cameras along with a subscription. I have window mounts and an exterior case for one of them. It's very easy to setup and use. My only concern is that I need the subscription so I have to rely on Logitech's support. If they decide to abandon the product, I will be left with useless cameras and a useless base station. In the meantime, they do very well what they are expected. Product wise, the individual cameras are a bit expensive but affordable.

I love this system. It installs in minutes. If you already have a Netgear network it is as easy as pushing the sync button. Cameras are simple to position and re-position as needed. Sorry, no remote panning ability with these cameras. For the price, you can't beat it.

Bought the single camera with base station and liked it so much I bought an add-on camera. Resolution is low, but I use it to make sure my elderly parents haven't fallen or aren't having issues, so I don't need great resolution. I'd love for it to be smaller so it's less conspicuous, but I can live with the size. I love being able to use my iPhone and iPad to check in on them anytime. I purchased the yearly service from Netgear because it saves images and videos on the Internet to review later, but if all you want is to see what's going on now, there's no added charge after purchasing the camera. I love the fact that I can add more cameras whenever I want.

Wireless video monitoring system - low quality

I returned this add on unit unopened. This 3rd camera created the need for a pay subscription. This wireless video monitoring system turned out to be a play-toy. The video was very poor quality, the software was rudimentary and the price was much higher than high quality wired systems. In addition, if you want more than two cameras, you have to pay a subscription fee! Only one of the two included cameras came with an outdoor "shell". I returned this item and bought a wired system with 4 high quality imaging color cameras with night vision and motion detection; a large capacity video recorder was included, all for less money. Don't waste your time on this item.
