I had my original 3ds for around 4 years and it had buttons that weren't working correctly. So, I really wanted a new one and I decided to buy the New 3ds. It is awesome!! The 3D is a lot better, the games load faster, and the games look a lot better on the bigger screen. I love it, love it, love it!!! I know it doesn't come with a charger, but I already had a charger from my previous 3ds, so that wasn't an issue. They aren't expensive to buy separately anyways.

It was a lot better than my old Nintendo 2DS and 3DS because it's bigger than my 2DS and It has a better 3D than my old 3DS and it's also faster.

I've own every single Nintendo handheld, from the GameBoy to the New 3DS. So far this is one of the best. Transfering the data from my old 3DS was easy. It is more comfortable for me and the screens are bright and the graphics look way better than the previous 3DS.

Bought the red one for my dad since the screen is bigger. Love the color!

We started with the DS then moved up with each new advance. We have never been disappointed. I just wish they were. Made more boy proof.

I talked with teens who had this device as well as 10 and 12-year-olds and all were happy with the device however if they had previously had a DS then they said it was basically just bigger and a little better. Favorite color Among mostly boys I spoke with was red, followed by blue. The galaxy style I bought because every other color was sold out; purchased as a gift for my nephew. He decided to exchange in favor of something else he wanted more. It had nothing to do with the device itself. Good item for age 8+ I think.

My daughter's old 3ds died, and she really wanted a new one for Christmas. Unfortunately, they weren't available. Best part of waiting was that she got the Galaxy version, and hasn't stopped talking about it. Good things come to those who wait.

I first tried a 2DS XL but when trying the 3DS XL I was immediately sold on the quality of the controls, the finish of the device, the speakers and the overall feel of the device. The 3D feature is something that some people love or hate, I do like it and I think it makes it neat.

The 3D really hurts my eyes. I bought it for my son and I have the 3D off other wise we love its wireless and my son kinda Uses as an iPad lol event the we have it an iPad.

3D gaming camera you can also play old ds games.Great color.

I used to have the original 3ds before this and i will never go back . the 3D has improved and looks much better and doesn't give you a headache.

New system, new layout, and a bad follow through. It comes short a charger "to save us money," and a micro SD card slot you need tools to access. C stick should have been an Analog stick. Does not come as advertised, no docking station despite the photos in the gallery. Pick up the last model at a discount instead.

It is a great console for kids and even for adults, but I don't like it be sold without a charger, I have never seen that . If somebody is going to buy an electronic device, should de sold complete.

Amazing little device the 3dsxl is good for people like myself with larger hands. It has tons of legendary games and still has many titles being released that are top notch. Highly recommend it. Also easy monthly payments through Best Buy make it very affordable for anyone. Galaxy design is really cool looking!

Deisgn: The outer cases are very nice looking and feel and look smooth, but tend to get fingerprint smudges easily. The inside screens are about the size of a common smartphone and look great. The volume and 3d sliders are on the upper part of the 3ds, which is a great touch, and the stylus, power button, headphone jack, and game slot are all on the bottom of the device. I don't like that the power button is on the button because I have accidently swiped over it on accident multiple times and lost my progress in games like LoZ, which is extremely annoying. The circle movement pad feels a bit strange at first and is a bit annoying at times, but it gets the job done well enough. I don't particularly like the c-stick much as it doesn't move the camera in games like LoZ quick enough. The button placement is nice with everything close enough to where you don't have to reach to far to push anything. Overall, it's a great design with a few problems but nothing awful. Gameplay: I've played Pokémon Alpha, Animal Crossing, And Majora's mask, as well as a short stint with Super Smash Bros, and am quite impressed. I personally did not enjoy Smash Bros because the controls were a bit difficult to transition to from previous console ports, but for all the other games the Gameplay is very smooth and hardly ever stutters unless you are playing online with slow Internet or something extremely hectic is happening on screen. Games like LoZ Majora's Mask feel fantastic and I actually prefer it on the 3DS compared to its original N64 game. I was at first skeptical that the 3d effect was just a sham and afterthought, but I actually thoroughly enjoy it and rarely turn it off. It adds a whole new level of depth to games that use the effect well. The games available on the 3ds are actually quite large and are chock-full of quality games, ranging from plenty of remakes and remasters, to new additions in plenty of series and new spinoffs, there is almost no end to how much time you can sink in to this device. There are a few apps you can get, outside of all the retail games that are available digitally and some virtual collection games from Nes and Snes, but outside of Netflix and Youtube, all the best apps are already installed unless I'm missig something. Overall this is a must own for any gamer, casual, hardcore, young, old, bky, girl, whatever, it's fun for everyone and I recommend it to anyone. One thing though, YOU MUST MAKE SURE YOU BUY A CHARGER! IT IS NOT INCLUDED!

The Nintendo DS had always been my favorite handheld system having owned the DS Lite and the DSi. When my siblings got 3DS's, I chose to wait and just borrow theirs when there was a 3DS game I wanted to play as I didn't think I needed it yet. We recently took a trip to Niagara Falls, and I decided to get my own for the 10 hour road trip especially since the new model had come out. I'm glad that I waited. While I was disappointed that only the New 3DS XL was coming out in America, I am actually pleasantly surprised with the larger screen. Persona Q and Xenoblade Chronicles look fantastic and the new face-tracking 3D is a vast improvement over the old 3D which constantly hurt my eyes. The system still has both a joystick and a D-pad in the same places while two more triggers had been added (ZL and ZR) and the game cartridge input has been moved the underside of the system along with the stylus which isn't retractable and thicker. My favorite addition has to be the c-stick which acts as a second joystick without being as big as the other one. I love this thing. It makes playing Xenoblade Chronicles a breeze as you can manually move the camera unlike previously where the back triggers often controlled the camera. It is surprisingly responsive for something that looks like a button. The system also runs faster than a normal 3DS and has more powerful hardware with a better battery life. Also, New 3DS games cannot be played on a normal 3DS, so this is technically next gen in terms of DS's. Overall a great buy and I would recommend it to anyone even if they already own a 3DS. There's nothing to complain about; this thing is awesome.
