This is one of the best entries that NHL has had in recent years. Very good, competitive game. I basically only play EASHL so this is an online multiplayer review. Connection was great for me even with my poor internet connection. It is a very difficult hockey game compared to the last few years. Takes time and patience to put the puck in the back of the net. Will be playing this game for a long time. Great game for hardcore hockey fans.

Really good game I love how they finally let u hear each horn and song for each team. Very realistic and the players grow beards very good.

This is easily one of the best sports games of the year. They brought back all the great features. Must buy for any hockey fan!

I'm a novice to hockey games. Haven't really played since the early '90s on the Genesis. But after years of being away, I picked this up to try revisiting that old NHL feeling. That was a success. Graphically VERY impressive. And the gameplay for an inexperienced player like myself was good. Still FAR from being close to expert and I got 60+ games into my season (using 4 minute periods). And I'm not blowing away the competition, even on just Pro difficulty. Picked it up for $40 a month ago and really have enjoyed it.

Presentation and graphics are phenomenal, finally a full featured NHL on PS4. Passing is still very frustrating and has been for years.

This game is exciting. A little difficult at first because of the controls, but that is what makes it so realistic... life like.

Ton of great modes to play. Love the eashl mode with friends on the same team playing against others online.

The NHL series is one of my favorites. Sure, last year's edition was sub-par, but the features you've come to know and expect are back and better in '16. They seem to have improved the quality of the AI (especially goaltending) and overall gameplay (it's a bit faster, more manual, and has far fewer glitches and bugs). People are always going to find things to complain about, but this is clearly the best installment in the series.

Better than previous versions and easy enough to play for my 7 year old to enjoy playing as well.

NHL16 is improved from 15 but there still is work to be done to make this a complete game. The graphics are stellar but the emersion factor can be enhanced. When I think of the perfect sports game I think of MLB The Show, with all its extensive features and design to make it a complete realistic experience. NHL needs to follow that model as well as other sports games. However it is still a good fun game if you are a hockey fan like me.

As a long time player of NHL series (Starting with NHL 95' for Sega Game Gear) I have become quite the harsh critic of the game. I have played every edition on multiple councils. I got pretty bored with the game over the past 5 years or so because I didn't see very much change between the years, minor details and improvements were made but nothing that made it seem like a new game. Not the case for NHL16!!!! This does seem like a brand new game. By far the best installment of the series, hands down. There are a lot of new features added and changes that were made that drastically improved the game as a whole. The precision passing is on point and the smoothness of the skaters is pretty impressive. I almost didn't buy this years game but after watching the trailer and reading reviews I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt once again and coughed up another $60 to the NHL series in hopes that I wouldn't be disappointed with the same recycled game play like the past few years and I after playing the first game I was far from disappointed. I was actually blown away and totally surprised by how much it has improved and developed. I knew it was going to take some big changes for me to get back in to the game this year and it honestly still ended up being better than I had hoped for and now the game is fun for me again! I would recommend this to anyone!
