A great JRPG from Square Enix. Nice story, wonderful music and smooth gameplay, definitely worth a try. Be sure to play NG+ and NG++. Otherwise you won't get to see all the story. It is also quite easy to get all the trophies. After beating all three routes, they'll become purchasable with in-game currency.

Intense action/shooting sections with a riveting story that only begins when you beat it for the first time.

Great gameplay, interesting story, incredible music. There are some performance drops here and there, but overall it's a really smooth game. Other than those problems the game is amazing. Variety of gameplay types switching quickly between them is done really well and keeps the game fun through the end.

This game was not on my radar until I played the demo, but it exceeded every expectation I had for it. There is so much action, music is so beautiful and the story is truly compelling from start to finish over the multiple endings in the game. Buy this game ASAP, it is a return to form for Platinum Games.

This is one of those games that kind of slipped past the radar on a lot of lists because it's not a Call of Duty game, but it is a very good game. The controls are terrific, a cross between 3rd person and a Resident Evil game. The boss fights are each very unique. The minion battles can be a bit samey, but they never get boring. The story is very cool and stylistically the game is beautiful.

This game is great. Amazing story, free flowing combat, and emotional depth not many games can reach.

I just beat Route A of this game and it was fantastic. The combat is fast and responsive. The soundtrack was one of my favorite things from this game. I can't wait to continue with the other playthroughs. I definitely recommend this game for anyone who's looking for fun combat and a great story.

This is a beautifully made RPG that combines multiple different play styles in what I found to be both a graphically and musically rich environment. I haven't finished it yet as I've only had it about a week, but thus far the storyline has kept me just as hooked as the gameplay itself.

The scope of the epic battles and the amazing story and music make this a worthwhile purchase.

Heard about the hype of this game from friends and it definitely met my expectations. Graphics, story, and soundtrack are all excellent. Definitely not a game for beginners/young kids even with the easy/normal settings. Recommend for more advanced/seasoned gamers.

This game is so hard. The difficulty of the levels is insane but it has a nice soundtrack.

Undoubtedly the sleeper hit of 2017, this game features a sublime story and deep fighting mechanics. Beginners will be able to grasp the basics quite easily but there's plenty of room for advanced players to delve into the nuances of the fighting system and the role-playing elements. Those interested in story-driven games will be rewarded with the many side missions and layered quests. Highly recommended!

Throw everything you know about video games and enjoy what is likely my favorite game on the PS4 to date. Director Yoko Taro defies conventions, shifting gameplay styles and story perspectives without notice and never compromising on quality. At its core, the game is a well constructed third-person action game similar in style to Devil May Cry or Bayonetta, but not quite as complex. Story wise, Nier: Automata is unrivaled. Be forewarned that the game requires multiple playthroughs. However, the game is constructed in this manner and rewards the player with an evolving story and completely new gameplay (so don't think you are simply playing the same game over and over). I am not lying when I say this is, quite easily, my favorite game on the PS4. Yoko Taro has crafted a AAA experience on a very modest budget, and delivered an emotionally driven thing that will constantly leave you staring at the screen in disbelief. It is that good.

Knowing nothing about this game, I picked it up. In the first 15 minutes, I was already impressed. Great soundtrack from the start. Fun gameplay mechanics and great art style. Keep you engaged for most of the game. Platinum trophy isnt too difficult like some other games. Nice to see a complete game rather buying the "season pass" for the other half. If its on sale, you should definitely buy it.
