I had the two kit lenses, then the 35mm prime, and now this wide angle. The prime is the sharpest lense, but this wide angle is a close second. Other wide angle lenses are double to triple the price. It makes a different sound than kit lenses, but not louder, and focuses fast and smoothly. Great value in P-class lense. Read lots of reviews before buying. Nikon quality, and very lightweight, Don’t need those more expensive lense for entry level D3400 dslr, and can still get great pics. Would highly recommend, can’t go wrong. Read all the reviews and trust this great little lense.

I've used this ultra wide angle lens a few times now and love it. Its focus is smooth and quiet. Pictures are sharp and more image space. Very smooth zooming.

Bought this wide angle lens for a mountain vacation and let me tell you, it worked out great. We travel a lot so I’m gonna be getting some miles out of this. Great for landscapes.

Best Wide Lens I have had the pleasure of using since I purchased my new Nikon DSLR. Gives me the range I need when the spaces are tight but I want to see the entire room or location.

Decided to try vlogging. Needed a wide lense on me old dslr. This was the best one for poor self. The footage came out ...not so bad. Highly recommend it. Auto focus is pretty quiet compared to the stock 18-55 that comes with it.
Love the hood that comes with it. It makes you look professional even though I don't really know what it does. Something with lighting I guess.
It also comes with a bag.
Downside is that under prop ca, it may give you cancer, lol. But what doesn't. You could pay the extra $1,000 for a similar lens that won't kill you.
Other than that, love the lens.

This lens performs very well. It is great for landscapes. The wide angle capabilities of this lens was very much needed in my lens lineup. It takes very sharp pictures.

This is a great lens! I have not had the chance to work with it much just yet but from the little I have taken it for a spin, it's going to be a great go to lens!

Its like an entry level wide angle lens. It doesn’t have VR on/off switch (which we usually get with kit lens). To keep the price low, cheap materials are used, but appearance of lens doesn’t look cheap. Good job Nikon

I needed a wide-angle lens to fill out my camera bag. After looking around this one had the specs I needed. Good optics, responsive in auto-focus, and easy enough to use in manual modes.

This is an astounding lens for dx (the" Nikon small sensor dslr line) If you are used to 35 mm standards this cuts past the old 24 = wide, to angular equivalence to a 15 mm on a full frame. You will end up moving closer and closer to things to fill the frame, and Nikons in body software will keep distortion to a minimum. Great fun!

I purchased this lens to broaden my lens. I needed a wide angle lens to take shots I wanted to explore. This lens accomplished that. It was a open box purchase. I did not received the accessories I was supposed to.

I bought this for taking pictures of waterfalls and landscapes and it works great. Small and lightweight great for large landscapes. I great price point for beginners.

Plastic body, so it isn't as substantial as some of their higher end lenses, but it's a good lens to fill the gap between my 18-55mm kit lens and my 10.5mm Fisheye, and it's not as expensive as the $800 Fisheye. Definitely a good addition to your quiver of lenses.
