    Took this on journey through Greece and Turkey, was incredibly easy to use and got some fantastic shots. A particularly nice feature was the autofocus, first time trying that and it worked very well with my Nikon 5100.

    This is a nice lens. Lots of plastic of course. I'm using on an old D70. Test it on a tripod and see which f stop is sharpest for you. Focusing is a bit slow and it hunts just a little. But what you are getting for the price is a pretty good value. You can spend a LOT more money and not really get much more in a lens of this type. If you sell your work ... go for a higher end lens. If you just take nice pictures on a budget, you'll be very happy with this lens. Only real pros can see the difference. Key is, find where it's sharpest and shoot "aperture priority".

    Purchased this along with our D5100, I have used it a few times so far and love it, if you are trying to decide between the 200MM and this one, spend the extra money now, I did and do not regret it.

    Captures super sharp pictures but the slow focus makes snapping fast moving objects difficult and it does not have manual override in AF mode. This is a good value lens for general photography.

    I use this lens on my D5100 and works well for getting up-close pictures of... nature. Have not used it for any sports or action shots yet.

    This was a great deal for me. It was included in a bundle. When I used the lense, it was perfect for me. The picture was crisp, and I like it. Setting the ISO and aperture added more flavor to the photo. I really love playing with it.
