Very Slow Between Shots

I agree 100% with the last review regarding how long it takes between shots. I've had so many missed opportunities with pictures of my 8 month old because I had to wait so long for the camera to operate. I realize this is just a point and shoot camera, but have never experienced such a long delay. The picture quality thus far seems fine, but I am going to return this camera for something that is faster between shots.

First off let me tell you i own several cameras i have a canon sd4000is. this nikon coolpix s6000 is horrible. there is no wide aperature on this camera first of all. you get what you pay for. and second of all whats up if you go into a room that is darker it shows a shutter speed of just 1" when i went outside it was 1/100 nikon shoots at lower shutter speed you need to sharpen the pictures on the computer with software. all of them where darker every last bit of them i had use photoshop cs4 to brighten. Not only that with the nikon coolpix s6000 you have to rotate each picture you have to patience for that i surely dont. the sd4000 auto rotates it for you. i took that camera back right away. i will settle for my canon. sorry nikon

Lens Error/Poor Customer Service

Recently received Nikon S6000 as a gift and in less than 2 months, it began to have issues. Photos and video were blurry and now camera won't turn on and has "lens error". Called Nikon and I can send it in to them and they will fix it, but they're making me pay to send it in. I think this is poor customer service - I know it doesn't cost that much to send it in, but I have hardly used the camera and it's already having a problem. A company should stand behind its product. I had a Canon camera for the last few years and when it had a problem, Canon sent me a mailing label and I had the camera back in less than 2 weeks. Go for Canon, not Nikon!

Camera stopped working the 2nd time it was used. Manufacturer stated " "these cameras sometimes stop working if they get jostled"... Camera sat in a purse that wasn't moved for the week between uses--hardly jostled, in my opinion..
