A True Artisan Stone Oven!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.THIS… Is the Ninja Artisan Pizza oven that promises to cook 12” pizzas quick, but don’t let the ‘pizza oven’ shy you away from everything it can do. In good Ninja fashion, this Artisan oven has a few tricks up its sleeve and really operates as a mobile stone oven. I am exceptionally excited as this will be replacing my Ninja Woodfire oven, and from the box, it has some marketed improvements. Lets get into it! Out of the box, setup is honestly straightforward. Plug it in, place the pizza stone and turn it on. I am a bit bummed that it didn’t come with a pizza peel (the large flat tray to slide the pizza in/out) considering this is an ‘artisan’ pizza oven after all… but the ol’ spatula works. It does come with a metal pan, like something you would make cornbread in, so I guess that makes up for it? Preheating the artisan oven took no time at all (less than 5 min), it was actually so quick that I wasn’t even done prepping my first pizza before it had beeped that it was ready to go. The only real caveat I have when setting this up and getting ready to go, is that most pizzas won’t really cook in 3 minutes… as this is only for neapolitan pizzas @ 700F. That being said, cooking my thin crust pizzas @ 500F for 5 minutes was fast enough for me and most pizzas will still cook in under 10 minutes… so I don’t really see it being an issue. The oven comes with 5 pizza modes and 5 cooking functions (pizza, bake, proof, broil and warm) outside of the pizza modes, so options are not limited to pizza. We had extra dough when making our pizzas, so we stuffed some cheese and pepperoni into them and made stuffed breadsticks (3:30 @ 500F). Aesthetically and functionally, this is a fantastic pizza oven and a definitive step up over the woodfire for me. There is an actual oven window, so you can see how far your pizza has baked without having to open the door and lose some of your heat. The door is also made to prevent kids from opening it, so the tough pull to open it is by design. I really like this because on the campsite kids run rampant, so an extra layer of protection is always welcome. Ninja also made this pizza oven weather resistant which is fantastic, I don’t try to get caught in the rain when cooking…. But not having to throw in the towel at the drop of rain is always a nice comfort. We got this in the charcoal gray, and mixed with the chrome accents, this certainly gives off an ‘artisan’ feel. I say this time and time again with Ninja products, they just can’t lose! The Artisan Outdoor pizza oven is fantastic, and really makes making pizza just as fun as it is fast. I will say again, one more time, that I am a bit disappointed that they did not include a pizza pee standard… as this seems like a no brainer to me… but I digress. This is one of those rare appliances that makes cooking fun while also being able to include everyone in the family of all ages. It also has a cool perk being an outdoor appliance, because it isn’t using our main oven, and that makes cleaning up so much easier (and it doesn't heat the house up!). I am sure this will be a hit when we go camping as well, as it seems like an easy way to make s'mores if there is a burn ban or if the fire gets too low. As always, bestbuy has an excellent return policy, so there is no risk in seeing just how awesome the Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza oven is. Until next time :)

Gourmet Pizza at Home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven stands out right immediately due to its tiny, modern shape and sleek, dark gray color It weights about 30 pounds, which is impressive for anything that goes outside, but you'll need to be near an outlet. It's easy to set up just take it out of the box put the pizza stone inside, and plug it in. The oven feels sturdy with a thick door that keeps heat in and a Chef's View Window that lets you see your pizza cook without opening the oven. You can use this for more than just pizza It can bake, broil, warm, and proof it can handle anything from artisan bread to roast chicken. Five Pizza Options: You can pick between Neapolitan, Thin Crust, Pan, New York, or Custom. You may quickly try out different kinds of pizza because every preset automatically sets the time and temperature. Electric Heat and Temperature Control: The oven can become as hot as 700°F and takes around 15 to 20 minutes to heat up Even people have never used digital controls before can easily utilize them. The electric heat makes sure that everything cooks evenly. Weatherproof: The oven is meant to be used outside and can handle the weather however it's advisable to cover it to keep it safe. Cooking pizza in the Ninja Artisan is a lot of fun. It can bake a 12inch pizza in just three minutes after it has been warmed up, The cheese melts perfectly, the crust puffs up well, and the bottom crisps up evenly. The heating elements on the top and bottom of the oven keep the temperature even, so you don't have to turn your pizza halfway through cooking, which is an issue with old conventional pizza ovens. The oven makes pizzas with beautiful leoparding and a good mix of crispy exterior and soft, chewy within, no matter if you use dough that has been fermented for 48 hours or a rapid recipe that you make the same day. The pizza stone holds heat well, so you may make more than one pizza at a time without having to wait for the oven to cool down. The Ninja Artisan is a terrific tool for baking bread and roasting because it can do so many things. The proofing function works well for dough, and the oven is big enough for a lot of cookies or a huge loaf of sourdough. The even heat distribution means that all kinds of recipes will work. Simple Controls: The digital interface is very easy to understand and there is a timer and a light inside to help you But it might be easier to see the buttons in the dark because they don't have a light behind them. Chef's View Window: It's both helpful and fun to watch your pizza bake through the window. It takes away the guessing and makes you less inclined to want to open the door. Portability:Its light enough to move around your patio or take to a tailgate, but not so light that it seems like it will break easily It weighs around 30 pounds. Cleaning: It's good that you can flip the pizza stone over. Just flip it over for the next cook if one side becomes browned. This oven is excellent for you if you want to make real restaurant-quality pizza at home without having to deal with wood or gas. It's great for those who live in apartments or don't have much outdoor space because it works on electricity and is compact. If you love pizza and want something that is easy to use and can do a lot of things, the Ninja Artisan is a perfect choice. The Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven does what it says it will do make pizza quickly, easily, and deliciously. It's easy to make pizza outside with the electric heat and uniform temperature control. Plus, it's so useful that it won't just lie around collecting dust between pizza nights. It might not get hot enough to create authentic Neapolitan pizza, but it's wonderful for New York and thin crust pizza and is a lot of fun to use for cooking outside in general.

Pizza Perfection... At Home!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven is a 5-1 oven that allows you to cook pizza like a professional in as little as 3 minutes alongside other traditional functions. As someone who enjoys pizzas but typically uses air fry ovens to complete the task, this pizza oven was clearly designed to cook the perfect pizza, quickly with the touch of a button. That doesn’t mean it is 100% perfect but it’s close. In The Box: - Oven - Nonstick Baking Pan - Pizza Stone - Quick Start/Recipe Guide Setup: Setting up the unit is a breeze. Simply remove all packaging from the outside (and inside) of the oven. Find a suitable table or counter to use the unit on, and plug it in. The unit comes with a pizza stone and nonstick baking tray. For my testing, I used the pizza stone. The stone sits just above the bottom heating element within the unit so it should stay inside until cooking is complete and the unit has cooled down. The unit is large but not so large that it shouldn’t fit on the average countertop or large table. The cord is short, so keep this in mind. Food Prep/Cooking: This pizza oven has different modes depending on your usage. The settings include: Pizza (Neapolitan, Thin, New York, Pan, Custom), Bake, Proof, Broil, and Warm. I cooked a couple traditional thin crust style pizzas which set the temperature at 550° Fahrenheit but this changes depending on the setting you use. I used the pre-made pizza crusts with toppings for pepperoni and hawaiian style pizzas. It's as easy as installing the stone, choosing the type of pizza/temperature that suits your cooking needs, press start, and the unit will preheat. This process can take up to 15 minutes depending on the setting that you chose. Given I did not choose the highest temperature, pre-heating took about 10-12 minutes. I would HIGHLY recommend having a pizza peel to use this oven. Sliding the premade crust onto the stone inside a HOT oven wasn’t terrible but it would be much easier with a peel. Once the pizza was baking inside, it was clear how quickly and evenly this oven can bake pizzas. The thin crust timer is 4 minutes long (I assume due to the lower temperature) but even then both pizzas were cooked easily within 10 minutes back to back. The downside? The first pizza was starting to get cold by the time the second one was done. I will say the Perpperoni turned out *perfect* but the Hawaiian could have used another 15-30 seconds because of the additional moisture of the toppings. Verdict: Near Perfect, Easy, Crispy Pizzas! Cleaning: What is great about this oven is that it is designed to be stored outside. Unfortunately, it does not come with the cover in the normal kit but it can be purchased after the fact (along with the peel) so if this is something that you have an area for and are able to keep it outside, then there is almost no cleanup. The stone can be removed, scraped, and cleaned without soap when necessary. Pros: - Pizza Modes - Design, Outdoor Safe - Cooking Modes (Bake, Broil, etc.) - Interior Light Cons: - Pizza Peel NOT Included Overall: The Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven is a 5-1 proved to fulfill its promise of quick, easy pizzas cooked to perfection. Where it fell short is a peel not being provided in the box. Given how I cooked pizzas in the past, this was never an issue but if you plan to use this device it is necessary. Outside of this, the fact this can be used to cook other items such as chicken breasts, meatballs, or side dishes is a plus. This oven isn’t small but isn’t huge but most people don’t have unlimited space for countertop appliances so this one has other uses outside of just pizza. I would recommend checking out the Ninja Outdoor Pizzas Oven if you enjoy making/cooking professional style pizzas.

Delicious, easy to use, and fun family night!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verdict: This is our very first pizza oven and the very first time we ever tried to make our own pizza… It was a fun family experience with delicious results! The Ninja Artisan Pizza Oven is a quality machine that’s easy to use and produces great results. Another homerun from Ninja. PRO TIP: make sure you use plenty of flour under your dough so it doesn’t stick to your prep surface and so that it’s easier to remove from the pizza stone. And buy a pizza peel before you try to use it! Initial impressions. The unit is much larger than we expected. It’s looks robust and high-quality. Controls are simple. The power cord is heavy duty. It comes with a pizza stone, a large tray, and a quick start guide with recipes. The Stainless steel looks like high-quality and the machine can be stored outdoors (Ninja recommends getting their Pizza Oven Cover). Setup. Setting up is essentially plug-and-play: add the stone into the oven, preheat, and throw pizzas in the oven!! Design. The significant size of the oven makes sense given the heat requirement, safety consideration, and ensuring a quality build. It fits a 12” pizza, and many other servings of various foods. The controls are wonderfully simple, with easy presets for different pizzas, temperature control, a large light button (to check on the cooking), and intuitive adjustment of timers. Performance. We struggled a bit without a pizza peel, but cooking performance was fantastic: fast pre-heat, consistent heat for ~40 minutes of making 6 pizzas, easy adjustments of time and temperature, and delicious results. The crust was evenly cooked and no burning of the many ingredients on the top. Things I love: - Robust construction! Looks like it will last - Quality cooking with even heat - Super easy to get started; check the quick start guide, preheat, and then pick a preset - Easy and intuitive controls; in line with all our Ninja experiences - Versatile cooking possibilities - It gave us an amazing family night with everyone making their own custom pizza - Instructions say that it can be stored outdoors (we will not do that) - Fairly quick cooking: about 8 minutes to pre-heat, and 5 minutes per thin-ish crust pizza Things I don’t love: - It’s quite large and it’s for outdoors. That fine for us; we have space to store and we have an outdoor space. However, this machine is definitely not for everyone. The machine includes “outdoor” in the name because it smokes a good bit. I definitely would not attempt to use this indoors - No pizza peel… Making pizza without it was quite tricky. In my opinion it’s necessary to have one to properly insert and remove the pizza onto the stone. Our work around was the slide the stone out with a heat glove and then maneuver the raw (and sticky) pizzas onto the stone with two large spatulas - I am skeptical about how the pizza stone will look after more usage and how long it will last. We made 6 pizzas on our very first try and burnt some toppings here and there while trying to maneuver the pizzas on/off the stone without a pizza peel. Our pizza stone already looks well used. We found videos on how to clean and maintain pizza stones, so we’ll try that Overall, the Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven is fantastic! What a cool machine. We had always wanted to try to make our own pizzas but figured it wasn’t worth it without a pizza oven. This machine makes pizza making and cooking accessible to anyone who has an outdoor space. And it makes great pizza! We had such a great time making pizzas with the kids that we want to do it regularly and get better with our technique. We most highly recommend this pizza oven.

Easy Settings, Even Heating, Excellent Food
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven is a versatile outdoor oven that makes great pizza without the need to turn it and gives you the option of making lots of other things! Design It seems very solid. It's a bit heavier than I expected, not too heavy at all, but solid. The controls on the front are very easy to work with. The dial is large and turns easily, clicking gently from setting to setting. The display is very large and easy to read. It simplifies use by showing what is going on and what needs to be done, for instance, when you're making pizza it will have you wait while it's pre-heating, giving three flashing lines as a progress indicator so you have an idea of how much longer you need to wait for it to preheat. Once the pre-heating is done, it will ask you to "Add food" and then, after you opened and closed the door, it will say "Push Start". I think that's great because if you're not there when preheating finishes, the timer will not start until you actually put in the food and want the timer to start. Buttons are easy to press. There's a power button and then "Mode" and "Light" on the left and "Temp" and "Time" on the right. The lights seems to only shine from the right side but it works very well at illuminating the inside so you can see the items you're making. Controls and Baking I talked about them a little already, but I wanted to highlight all the settings. If you choose the "Pizza" mode, there are five options with different presets, Neapolitan, Thin, New York, Pan, and Custom. I used Neapolitan, Thin, and Pan in my testing. Some pizzas I made were on Pitas that were prebaked so they didn't need as much time and were done in about 1.5 minutes instead of 3 minutes. I made a Pan pizza that was amazing, using the default setting and a 8x8 baking pan. It got so good, with an excellent thick crust with a crispy edge, just the way they should be! It was seriously probably my favorite pizza I ever had at home! The other modes, besides "Pizza", are "Bake", "Proof", "Broil", and "Warm". I used Bake to try lots of different things. Besides pizza I made chocolate chip cookies, cinnamon rolls, steak fries, and very small Stromboli like things. Heating was pretty even with the pizzas, definitely good enough that you do not need to rotate the pizzas. I'd image placement in the oven makes a difference there. Anyway, the pizza's came out great. The cinnamon rolls, were very evenly heated. I included some pictures so you can see what some things looked like. The steak fries were very hot through and through, though I could have let them brown a bit more. I think there are some good pictures of the pan pizza, that was so good! The crust on that pan pizza got perfect. I used the Pan pizza setting for it and I don't think it could have gotten better. Everything tasted great! Some pizzas were with fresh dough and some were on pitas. 700 degrees is a bit much for the pita pizzas but they were still good. 700 was good for the dough. It does take a long time for the initial pre-heat, longer than I expected for a small oven, but that's due to the stone needing time to get up to temperature I think. I can't wait to make more pizza's and other excellent food! Summary If you want a simple to use and very versatile outdoor oven, I think the Ninja Artisan is a great choice! It can pump out pizzas quickly and you don't need to mess with turning them. I love that it can stay outside year round in the weather. I'm not sure I'll ever do that, I'm storing it in the garage right now, but it could be fun to pull out in the snow sometime! The table I was planning to use wasn't quite sturdy enough for me to be comfortable with, so I ordered a table for it that's sturdy but portable so I can take it to outdoor events at other places too!

Amazing home made pizzas
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This oven has been great for homemade pizzas. I have yet to explore other things that can be made with it such as garlic knots and baked potatoes, but for pizza it has been amazing. It takes some experimentation if you are not used to making homemade pizza, but the results are better than most pizza shops once it starts to come together. Pros: Practical design Multiple modes Easy maintenance Great results Cons: Learning curve Does not come with pizza peel (on this specific model) Setting this up is easy. Clean the stone and wipe it down, then plug it in and you are ready to go. I failed my first two pizza attempts as I was not used to prepping the dough, but even my first few failed pizzas were tasty. After a few tries the results are looking nice and taste amazing. There are settings for Neopolitan, NY and Pan style pizzas as well as other items such as potatoes and garlic bread if you want to experiment with the recipes in the included cookbook. My main concern my first few attempts was that the oven did not come with a pizza peel resulting in me having to use spatulas as creativity to transfer the pizza to the heated stone. This resulted in some goofy looking pizzas. I feel the peel should be included in all models of this item as it seems like a necessity. I later ordered one from Ninja which solved all my issues. So far I have tried Neopolitan and NY style, though there is an included pan to do Pan style. NY style appears to be the easiest for me to make consistent results with as it is done at a lower temperature for eight minutes. Neapolitan is cooked at an extremely high temperature for just a few minutes so if your dough is not properly shaped, it will come out undercooked, this takes some practice. The pizza gets a nice smoky flavor in most instances which I very much enjoy, though it does ventilate the smoke while cooking through small side vents. I have left mine outside since purchase and cover it when not in use. It has remained in good condition and requires an occasional wipe down though the website states it is built to “withstand the elements” if you just leave it out there. The pizza stone requires special cleaning as you should not immerse it in water or use soap to clean. It is simple to take care of though with nonmetal scraping and wipe downs, just be sure it has fully dried out before heating. My rating of 4 out of 5 starts is just because I feel the pizza peel should be included.

Speedy Pizza
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This pizza oven has been a blessing since opening the box a little over a week ago. We recently added a deck to our home and this has been the perfect addition. There are a few reasons on why I have, so far, thoroughly enjoyed this pizza oven. This boils down to a few key areas: portability/design and heat up time. This pizza oven is very portable. It weighs about 30 lbs and is easy to store within most shelves. The legs are exterior are built sturdy and will not or should not scratch any surfaces that this is placed on. The door is spring loaded and almost seems "too" spring loaded as the door really snaps open and shut and requires a little but of strength to operate. The inner pieces included a pizza stone and a cooking tray that easily fit snuggly into their designed grooves. I really enjoyed that there have been no question marks around where or how these inner pieces should sit. Clean up is easy too, simply remove the inner cooking stone or baking sheet and wipe down or clean. From a performance standpoint, this stove fires up and get hot in minutes. I feel that a traditional stove takes forever to get fully hot. This stove is at desired temperature within minutes, and with a max temp of 700 degrees that is pretty impressive in my book. This stove has really sped up the cooking time for a pizza, whether frozen or hand made. All in all if you are looking for a great portable, speedy stove that can be used nearly anywhere (within reason) then this is the stove for you. The cleanup is easy, the assembly is minimal and the performance better than expected!

Maybe too fast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Out of the box this oven is a nice addition to any outdoor kitchen setup. It’s beautiful, small, and very well built. The door is extremely heavy and seals quite well. It preheats at roughly the same rate as our gas powered pizza oven does. But it’s much faster at cooking the pizza. There wasn’t much of a setup for the unit. Plug it in and preheat oven based on the dough you are using. The digital reader is nice and makes it easy. Once it is ready make sure to have your pizza ready to go. We used the Neapolitan setting which is about 3 minutes for the pizza to be done. We made 4 different pizzas and we should have removed them after about 2 minutes. The toppings were done to perfection but the bottom of crust burned each time. We couldn’t find our semolina flour and so we used regular flour and we aren’t sure if that may have been the problem. So we won’t attribute that to the oven at this time. Just make sure to keep an eye out for the first sign of darkness on the crust and remove immediately. The pizza dough was cooked evenly through and the toppings were cooked evenly as well. As mentioned above, we have a gas powered pizza oven and its form although small, is still bigger than this electric unit. So this is a great size for someone with smaller space. It’s also a great alternative to a gas oven due to not needing to use a spare gas tank or run to exchange one out. Our gas unit cost about the same and seemingly the build quality isn’t as superior as this electric unit. One of the things that we don’t like is losing the ability to fully open the top to be able to clean, but that may be a pro because it may not require such a cleaning since it doesn’t produce flames. All in all this is a wonderful outdoor digital electric pizza oven. I feel safer with it being electric since it’s close to our home and it’s easier to move around due to its size. Only time will tell how it wears, but I’m hoping that we don’t experience any paint peeling due to heat or door failures as we have with our gas unit. I do wish that it came with a cover, but that is a separate purchase.

I want to give it 5 stars, but.....
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Ninja Artisan Pizza Oven is a very impressive outdoor pizza oven. The oven comes in a gray metal color with a GFCI plug, designed to protect you from electrical shocks. Designed for outdoors it is weather resistent. There is a cover available from Ninja rhat is not included. . This electric pizza oven boasts temperatures to 700 degrees. It can make a pizza in 3 minutes and can bake as well. Each pizza type has its own preheat time from 5 minutes to 20 minutes. The easy function buttons are accompanied by an led screen. The oven has a light so you can watch your pizza cook through the glass door. I won't kid you there is a learning curve to this product. You have to properly flour the dough and make your pizza prep flawless for a great pizza making experience. What one must have is a pizza peel (pizza spatula). Without it your pizza will fall apart as you try to put it in the oven. The peel is essential. We are still learning technique on pizza making, but have learned that pre rolled pizza dough in the freezer section of your grocer is best. Pressed for time? Your pizza oven can quickly cook a frozen pizza too. The reason why this is a 4 star item and not a five star rating is because a pizza peel is a necessity so it should be included with your purchase. This pizza oven that can bake has an included baking tray for making your favorite baked goods. You can also broil, proof, or warm food , The 5 modes of pizza options are neopolitan, thin, pan, new york, or custom. The unit makes 12 inch pizzas. There is a pizza stone that makes the magic by cooking pizzas in 3 minutes. Yes, three minutes. The build quality speaks to the quality of Ninja products. First rate build. The great quality you expect from ninja products. The unit comes with a nice little recipe book. Also supply QR codes to see different product youtube videos. It is excellent and something every pizza lover would enjoy.

Made me stop collecting pizza coupons
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, full disclosure, I am horrible at cooking. I cannot perfect a sunny side up. So this should be a gauge of my approach to this Ninja Pizza Oven. Is it capable of making 3 minute pizzas? Yes. My regular over tops at 500 degrees. This one goes up to 700. Can I make a pizza in 3 minutes? Well, that’s a loaded question—especially if you want you pizza loaded. Because it does take a lot of time to prep one. If you ask me though if this machine made it easy for clueless cook like me, definitely! OVEN SET UP Setting up is easy. Pretty much components are operational once I opened them. The oven, a pan, and the stone. I did not have to assemble anything. The box though shows a lot of accessories that can be used along with it. I will call them all essentials such as the oven stand, the peel and maybe a stone scraper. For me, it only needed a craving for pizza, and I made it all work without the essentials I mentioned. Now I looked for a place to put it. I only had a wooden table at my patio. None of the instructions said I cannot place it on a wooden table. Fortunately, I had a grill that I can remove the top, and I just placed it on my grill stand. Easy peasy. FOOD PREP Again, I am not a cook, nor even a salad mixer. So I brought in the reinforcements—my wife and kids who actually were excited to create their pizzas. However, I got the canned wet dough, so I could not slide pizzas in from our wooden boards. Whether I had a peel or not, it was not going to happen. (By the way, I suggest you get a peel. Believe me.). So we made pizzas on the stone itself and placed the stone on the chopping board to slide the stone into the oven. It was a little complicated and needed extra handling so I cannot let the kids do it or they can get burns. Again, please get a peel. We made a couple of pizzas and worked my familiarity from there. COOKING The dials and options were pretty simple and very easy to understand. But I am skeptical with the settings so I first tried the PAN setting which was 425 degrees at 13 minutes. Controls were easy to understand as I was able to lower the duration to 3 minutes. I wanted to cook in increments to learn in. The back of the oven has a stainless mirror-like reflection (kudos to that Ninja), that I can see how evenly the whole pizza cooks. Funny thing is, as I kept adding minutes watching the first pizza bake, I ended up with having almost 13 minutes in total time WHICH WAS THE TIME OF THE PRESET. Ninja knew! I was untrusting. Lesson 1, trust the presets. Ninja 1, Me, 0. First pizza came out, and I had to figure out how to slide the stone out onto the wooden board. Again guys, GET A PEEL. The pizza was stuck to the stone. Had to slice and scrape to get it out. Second pizza was easier as I knew what to do, you know, like trust the preset. The second pizza was done on the Ninja stone, not the extra stone. Hey, the pizza was easier to remove from the stone and it did not need much scraping. Lesson 2, just use the provided stone. Ninja 2, Me, 0. Oh did I mention GET A PEEL (which I hope Ninja provided)? Yes, Ninja, 2.5, Me, 0. Pizza 3, 4 and beyond, easy as cake (as pizza?). Actual cooking, did not get too hot either. It was an 80 degree day. Smoke hardly came out from the back. The bottom did not seem to get hot either, so I guess I could have just placed it on my wooden table? The indicators were very easy to understand. It clicks when you need to start. Dial responds well in process of the baking, such as if I needed to add time or I had to click to start. The screen was helpful with the right cues such as when it pre heats or to add time, or to add or take out food. The sound cues are helpful too. Pre heat ready, food is done, etc. RESULT Great evenly cooked pizza all around. Taste—I’ll leave it to the experts (to the hungry ones for the pizzas I put together). Right crispiness and gooeyness of the cheese. But, these are all factors of the type of pizza, so not sure if those comments count. Could I have done it in my regular oven? Not with the presets, especially for a non kitchen guy like me. And yes, my regular oven can only do 500 degrees. This one can do 700 degree, 3 minute pizzas, with a couple clicks and some indicator alarms. CLEANING Since I take the stone in and out, it was easier to clean it. I just scrape it with a wooden spatula and a knife. The insides hardly need cleaning, at least for my multiple sessions. I placed a cover on it when it's not in use. SUMMARY I like it. It’s a great pizza maker with a learning curve. It was tough at first especially with less tools, like the peel. But once I got the hang of it, it was much easier. If you want less hassle making pizza, Ninja’s got you covered. Use the presets. Get a peel, if Ninja will not give you one. Enjoy the process. Have fun with other people. Thanks Ninja for making pizza an experience vs. a chore.

Restaurant-style pizza made at home
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family and I love pizza! While my homemade pizza cooked in the oven is good, nothing beats the taste of a wood-fired pizza. Sadly, there is no space or extra money to build/buy a traditional outdoor oven at my house. Enter the Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven as an answer to my prayers. This outdoor pizza oven is a game-changer because it is a compact/stand-alone unit, it doesn’t require refilling propane tanks, and it is balcony- and patio-friendly. My last pizza oven worked in tandem with an outdoor grill. To use it, you had to place it directly on the grill and close the cover. Because the grill size wasn’t very large, the grill top didn’t fit entirely over the unit and much of the heat needed to cook the pizza escaped. The Ninja Artison Outdoor Pizza Oven is a major step up, catapulting it to the level of well-known, pricier outdoor pizza ovens. The intuitive control panel takes much of the guesswork out of the equation. The biggest decision you make is the PIZZA PRESET. The amount of time to preheat the oven depends on the preset you choose. The oven heats up to 700°F in just 15–20 minutes, and pizzas cook in as little as 3 minutes, depending on whether you choose Neapolitan, Thin, NY, Pan or Custom. After you see the READY indicator, you slide in the pizza and press START. Once the time is up, remove the pizza. Thanks to top and bottom heating elements, there’s no need to turn your pizza mid-bake as everything comes out evenly cooked, with a beautiful char that mimics a wood-fired oven. The oven can handle three back-to-back pizzas without needing to reheat, which is fantastic for a larger family or groups of people. My two sons, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter joined my husband and me for lunch. We prepared enough dough for three large pizzas and divided each into three 8-oz portions. In the end, there were a lot of leftovers. NOTE: the max size of pizzas that will fit in the oven is 12” in diameter. While the box recommends a "team lift," I was able to move it solo with little trouble. My boxed oven included the pizza stone and bake pan. I was slightly disappointed that it didn't come with a cover or pizza peel, though I have a wooden one and a metal turner from a previous pizza oven. Make sure you flour the peel and I find that cornmeal helps it slide off better. Despite the oven’s name, you can do more than just bake pizzas. There are broil, bake, proof, and keep warm modes. The recipe book that is included is a helpful bonus, featuring easy-to-follow instructions for making your own pizza dough and five different pizza styles as well as non-pizza recipes such as brownies, garlic knots, and focaccia. Ninja’s cookbooks make using their products accessible for cooks at any level. It is worth joining a Facebook group dedicated to the Ninja Artisan Pizza Oven as members post valuable solutions to questions and delicious recipes. Despite how easy using the oven is, there is still a learning curve. I made my share of errors in the two times I used it, but I regard that as “learning on the job”. If you want to switch up the PIZZA PRESET, press START and wait for the ADD FOOD prompt before you insert the pizza. Another bump I experienced was the directions for the Artisan Pizza Dough. “In a large bowl, add salt and water and mix to dissolve. Then add roughly 20% of the flour and combine using a fork. Add the yeast and roughly 80% of the remaining flour and continue to mix with a fork.” That way that is worded, it sounds like you add “80% of remaining 80%” when in fact, you add “the remaining 80%”. Cleaning is straightforward. The pizza stone should be brushed clean after each use—avoid soap and water to preserve its surface. The interior can be wiped down once cooled, and the bake pan is easy to clean as well. Like all pizza ovens, keeping it covered between uses (if you purchase a separate cover) will extend its life. Overall, the Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven is a fantastic investment for anyone who wants restaurant-quality pizza without the bulk of a traditional oven. With fast cooking times, authentic flavor, and flexible settings, it’s hard not to love this little powerhouse. Just add your favorite toppings, and you’re minutes away from pizza perfection.

Amazing pizza at home on the first attempt
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you haven't tried a pizza oven, it's a game changer. In the past I've baked pizzas in a standard oven, and they turn out ok'ish, typically soggy, or overly hard, so I had somewhat given up on homemade pizza until I tried the Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven and my entire world changed. TL:DR - The Ninja Pizza oven is fast, easy, and overall amazing. Depending on the crust you can bake a 12" pizza in as little as 3 minutes. Everything I have tried has been absolutely amazing, even on my very first attempt. With multiple settings this pizza oven does it all, bake, proof, broil, and of course pizza. Clean up is easy and the pizzas turned out perfect when following the included Ninja how to guide. Pros: Did I mention it's fast?? Great pizza in 3 minutes Easy to use Easy to clean, as most everything that falls off is incinerated and you can wipe down the stone and sides. Every single pizza has tasted amazing and cooked to perfection Cons: I really wish a pizza peel was included. This was the only pain point in that I wanted to use the oven immediately, so had to figure out how to flour a cutting board and get enough momentum to slide the dough into the oven. In the box is the pizza oven, pizza stone, bake pan, recipe book, and user guide. The oven is plug and play, but keep in mind a few things. I set up my oven on a workbench style table on the porch, only real requirement is that it's somewhat level, uses an outdoor rated extension cord if you can't get within 4' of an outlet, and can withstand the heat that dissipates from the oven. While the table I have it on didn't get overly hot, I'm on the fence if I want to use it on a wood surface for extended periods of high temperatures. As far as making the pizza, first you'll need to gather up the crust, toppings, sauce, etc because you don't want to build your pizza and then let it sit while the oven is preheating. Preheat times range from 5 minutes up to 20 minutes, depending on what type of crust you are making. Once the oven is preheated, you'll want to ensure the pizza dough is not sticking to the peel or whatever tool you are using to transfer to the oven. Lastly you'll need either luck or skill to slide the pizza from the peel/cutting board to the oven. If you are like me, and relying on luck with a cutting board, great news, whatever you spill will be toasted to ash, and wiped up when the oven has cooled. Same concept as the clean cycle on your oven. As far as taste, I used a sourdough discard recipe with "00" pizza flour to make the most amazing crust I've ever had. I followed the instructions for Neapolitan style pizza, which is to cook for 3 - 5 minutes at 700 degF. The pizzas all came out amazing, both mine with only a few toppings as well as the teens with 7+ toppings. No soggy / droopy / or tough crusts regardless of how many toppings were used, see photos. You'll want all toppings as dry as possible, and you'll want everything to be at room temperature for optimal results. Other things to note - while I personally only cooked the Neapolitan style pizza, there are also presets for thin, NY pan, or custom settings. There is a light so you can see your pizza, you can turn on manually but it will also turn on for the last 30 seconds of the bake cycle. There is a "ready" indicator that will show up to indicate that the stone is back to pre-heated temp, which is useful when cooking multiple pizzas back to back. The oven can be used for proofing, which is a 90 degF hold. The oven can also be used for "precision" baking, meaning that the oven holds a steady and consistent temperature. I did use the enclosed pan to make garlic knots, and with only a 6 minute cook time, they were also amazing. Bottom line is that this is a well made pizza oven, Ninja has carefully thought through the details to make the process as simplified as possible, while still delivering a great result. I do wish that a peel had been included, because I'm still trying to master the art of the cutting board slide until I break down and buy a peel. Overall, this will 100% cut down on the amount of pizzas I order from chains or local restaurants, I find that the taste and quality exceeds what I can get at a restaurant, and with only a 3 minute cook time, no one is eating cold pizza, even when making one for everyone.

Cranks out pizza in no time
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I ordered the Ninja - Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven I decided to watch some videos on it and how to make pizza dough before it came. I thought I was ready so when I unboxed I was shocked when it didn't come with a pizza peel. A peel is just as important as the stone, if not more. DO NOT try to use this pizza over without one. I have big BBQ spatulas and all that did was leave half the pizza in the oven and make a disgusting mess. A 12" pizza peel is a must have. Fortunately that is the only bad thing I have to say about the Ninja - Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven Set up is easy. Just plug it in. Making the dough and toppings is the most time consuming part of the process. We decided to try the pre-made ready to use dough that you can find in supermarket deli's. It was fine but make sure to leave it out at least an hour before using. load up your cheese and toppings and now you are only 3 minutes from a great pizza. The setting for pizza are Neapolitan, Thin Crust, Pan, New York, and Custom. The Neapolitan will get your pizza done the fastest, setting the temp at 700 degrees. I did try the thin crust setting and it took the pizza about 6 minutes to cook. The preheat time takes a good 10-15 minutes to get the oven to temperature. The 2nd time we tried the oven we decided to use the proof function to get the dough pliable and easier to shape. It took about 20 minutes and the dough came out perfect and easy to form a great pizza dough. I am new to pizza making but the 1 tip I have is use lots of flour. Use floor on your prep board, lots of flour on your peel and even some on the stone. Your pizza will slide in and out of the oven easily. The oven after preheating will give you a verbal beep and tell you on the screen to add the food. Then you just hit start and the timer will start counting down. There's a light in the oven that can be turned on so you can watch your pizza cooking. It's actually real cool. You start to see the cheese melting then the topping start to cook and finally you can see your crust getting brown. I like that it's electric so you can put the oven anywhere, not worrying about open flames. It's very portable and even though the specs say 30 pounds, it seems very light. Clean up was easy too. most of cheese and toppings that fall off just burn up after you take the pizza out. When it finally cools down you can remove the stone and scrape all the baked on scraps. It says don't use water as it could crack the stone. I just used a plastic spatula and it worked fine. Your stone will never look new again. After every use it get a little more brown and stained but that is normal. The Ninja - Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven comes with a baking tray. We used it on the bake setting a put some some stuffed chicken breast that came out delicious. You really can use this oven to bake just about anything that will fit in the pan.I can't wait to use the pan for a deep dish pizza. The only other thing I wish they added that I have on my Ninja smoker is the ability to connect the oven to your phone through the ninja app. That way you could keep an eye on your preheat and cook time on your phone. I definitely recommend this Ninja - Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven, just buy a pizza peel before first use.

Pizza Night Will Never Be the Same
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven for a week now, and let me just say, it’s been a total game-changer for our family. I’ve got twin boys who love making pizza, and this oven came in clutch! Everyone got to create their own 12" personal pizza with whatever toppings they wanted, and we had an absolute blast doing it. This oven gets HOT, like, 700°F hot. It only took about 20 minutes to preheat, and during that time, we prepared all our pizzas, so it didn’t even feel like we were waiting. Once it’s ready, each pizza cooks in about 3 minutes, and they came out perfect every time, evenly cooked, crispy crust, melty cheese. No rotating required. It’s like a mini pizza factory in your backyard. We mostly used the Neapolitan setting (one of five preset pizza modes: Neapolitan, Thin Crust, Pan, New York, and Custom, each with different temp and timer, Neapolitan being the 700 degree setting) and watching that dough puff up through the window with the built-in light felt like we were on a cooking show. The light even turns on near the end of the timer, which is just a cool touch. My wife loaded her pizza with peppers and onions, so much so it needed a few extra minutes but still came out fantastic. I went with the standalone oven (no peel or stand included), but after the first night, I was hooked. I immediately bought the Ninja Pizza Peel, Adjustable Outdoor Stand with Side Table, Oven Cover, and I’m eyeing the roast rack next. Pro tip: Don’t try to slide a pizza in using a wooden cutting board like I did… unless you want to push a half-hanging pizza back into place with said cutting board (messy but manageable, the stone cleaned up nicely with a non-metal scraper). The official Ninja peel is so worth it and lets you slide pizzas in perfectly every time. It’s much easier to see in there with the peel and not a cutting board… So far, we’ve made pepperoni (crispy edges!), BBQ chicken, peppers and onions, and even pineapple, yes, we’re that family, and every one of them turned out great. We’re already planning a pizza night for my boys’ youth hockey team where each kid can make their own creation. Can’t wait! The oven also has 5 total functions: Pizza, Bake, Broil, Warm, and Proof. We’re excited to try things like bread, roasted veggies, maybe even a steak?, and more. I love that it’s electric because there are no flames, wood pellets, or charcoal to deal with. Just plug it in, and it heats up evenly and reliably. In the box, you get the Outdoor Pizza Oven, 12" Bake Tray, 12" Pizza Stone (square-ish), Quick Start Guide, and Owner's Guide, but trust me, you’ll want the accessories! In all, we’re obsessed. The pizza is top-tier, the experience is unmatched, Ninja absolutely knocked it out of the park with this one. This thing has officially become the MVP of our summer. Chef’s kiss.

Great Outdoor Pizza Oven!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Ninja Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven is a game changer and is exactly what I was looking for to use at our camper. Now we can have perfectly cooked pizza without heating up the inside of our camper. This pizza oven can get up to 700 degrees F so make sure you use it outside. It is a very sleek looking oven and does not take up a large footprint. It is electric so there are no propane tanks needed that take up even more space. This came packaged very well and was delivered in perfect condition. Once I took it out of the box I thought it felt like a solidly built tank. It comes with the oven, pizza stone, and a baking sheet. I do wish it came a pizza peel, but I can do without for now. I wouldn't knock the review because of it, though. The door has a safety feature where you really need to pull the door to open it all the way. This is a very user friendly oven that has various presets built in and easily accessed on the front face of the unit. Just select the type of pizza you're making, set the time and your ready to go. The inside retains the heat extremely well so if you're doing back-to-back pizzas there is very little downtime. I will say that the oven cooks a little faster than typical pizza directions so watch for that. You can do this by turning on the oven light to see how your food is looking without having to open the door. The electric heating elements are evenly laid out on the top and bottom to distribute even heat inside the oven so you don't have hot or cold spots. All food cooked very evenly regardless of where it was placed in the oven. It's a bonus that you can cook or bake virtually anything as you could in a standard oven as well! Overall, I really like this pizza oven and it will be used a lot at our camper. If anyone is looking for a well built, good looking, fast and even cooking pizza oven, then I would definitely recommend looking at this one.

Pizza Perfection: My Journey with the Ninja 12"
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Ninja - Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven for about a week, and overall, I am quite pleased with its performance. However, there is one aspect that could be improved. I find it a bit difficult to understand why the manufacturer didn't include a pizza peel. You can't do anything without it, and it is essential for handling pizzas in the oven. Learning how to build a pizza that doesn't stick to the pizza peel and stone has been a bit tricky. My first couple of attempts were pretty difficult, but I'm getting better with every pizza. On the positive side, making frozen pizzas is very easy and they can be cooked in just about 3 minutes. We've also cooked chicken breasts in the oven, and they turn out very good at much less time it takes in the over or grill. We look forward to trying more items and perfecting our pizza-making skills. In my experience, even though the instructions say you can put the next pizza in as soon as you're done with the previous one, I find that you should let the stone heat up a bit to get over 550°F before putting the next pizza in to get a crispier crust. Just my personal experience. The oven has intuitive buttons and an easy-to-read display, which makes it user-friendly. I recommend keeping all the paperwork because some of the tips are on the instruction sheets and some on the cooking instructions. I found that when you cook using the pan, such as chicken, you are supposed to put the pan on top of the stone. So, you always leave the stone in the oven when cooking. Overall, the Ninja - Artisan Outdoor Pizza Oven, 12-inch, is a great addition to our outdoor cooking setup. So nice not to heat the kitchen for pizza, chicken and items yet to try.

Blazing hot & fun pizza oven.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been making pizzas for about a decade now at home so we were excited to try out this pizza oven from Ninja that gets up to 700F. Which is significantly hotter than my oven. First thing I noticed when unboxing it. I'm gonna have a dickens of a time getting the pizza inside actually. So I ordered the Ninja pizza peel right away. First pizza night. We waited a little too long making the pizza and it was impossible to get onto the peel. So we took that whole mess and transformed it into a calzone and figured how to get it onto the peel and inside. It still came out pretty good. But I was not to be defeated. I ordered some 10 inch pizza pans next. This proved critical. Even when generous corn meal or flour sometimes they'd stick... But the failsafe is to simple put the whole pan in the oven. Which works great. We made about 4 personal pizzas and everyone enjoyed great pizza. So make sure you either are great at using a pizza peel, have and or get a ten in pizza pan as well. For funtionality, the Ninja pizza oven does everything you need. Different pizza settings, bread, proofing. Controls are simple to understand. And its easy to clean.

Perfect Pizzas and more at home!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who loves making pizza at home, I was excited to try out the new Artisan outdoor electric pizza oven from Ninja. As far as experience goes, about 2 years ago I bought an expensive $3500 hybrid pizza oven from Italy, hybrid meaning it works with propane or wood. It was a bit of a learning experience, but we managed to get the entire pizza process down to almost an assembly line. The actual cooking required mastering a pizza peel to spin the pizza frequently to get an evenly cooked crust without burning and ensuring the oven bricks were at the proper 700 degrees. Overcooking or undercooking just a few seconds could spell the difference between a perfectly baked pizza and one that was either burned or undercooked. Heating the oven using propane took over a half hour and burned through a lot of propane in the process. With that as my background, I welcomed the chance to check out the Ninja Artisan pizza oven and last night was our trial run with the new oven. I am elated to share that the Ninja pizza oven was a resounding success. Most notably, the actual baking of the pizza is so simplified…slip in the pizza at the prompt, press the button to start baking, and pull out the pizza in exactly 3 minutes. Preheating the Ninja took about 15 minutes. I used my infrared temperature gun and measured the pizza stone to be exactly 700 degrees F on the Neapolitan setting. An LED display said it was time to add the pizza. Three minutes later, I pulled out a perfectly baked pizza! The bottom crust had the desired “leopard spots”, indicating a perfectly baked crust. The Ninja pizza oven took away all the guesswork and stress, yet the pizza was perfectly and evenly cooked. With these kinds of results, I seriously question if I’ll ever go back to using my expensive pizza oven, except maybe for very large pizzas. The Ninja advertises it can bake up to a 12-inch pizza, but I would tend to keep that down slightly to a more manageable 10 inches personally. We cooked three quick pizzas and each one came out perfectly, although I would recommend allowing the oven to reheat slightly between pizzas to get the best bottom crust. The oven is capable of much more than baking pizzas and comes with a baking pan and can be used more as a conventional baking oven and broiler for outdoor use. One word of cautionary advice…be sure to read the directions thoroughly and especially note how to clean the pizza stone and avoid using water which can damage the stone. Ninja makes great kitchen cookware from pots and pans to coffee makers, and now they can add pizza ovens to the list. I was absolutely blown away by how well the pizzas came out and can wholeheartedly recommend the Ninja Artisan Electric Outdoor Pizza Oven to anyone who wants to bake perfect pizzas at home that rival restaurant quality at a fraction of the cost.
