Great cheap alternative

The 2DS isn't aimed at the hardcore gamer and I think that's what most people seem to forget when they talk about it. This is a great device for those that have no interest in the 3D effect, want an introduction to the 3DS library or have a specific set of games in mind to play, and don't want to break the bank. Since you're getting a game for free (that's at least a $30 value on sale), you're essentially paying $50 for the 2DS itself. I think this is a great device for kids or for those that want to load up a few key games that they care about and don't need all the additional features the more expensive models have.
