This amiibo is great and can be used across multiple games. It is a very rare amiibo too. The design is great and the quality of the figure is good.

This is a nice amiibo and a must for amiibo collectors.

Love this little guy. a fun gift for a long time mario fan. high quality, very durable, the figure is well detailed and a nice decoration as well. works with nintendo wii U, new nintendo 3ds and the 3ds amiibo adapter that i forget the name of. the effect it has on the game varies per game. the box on the game will tell you if it has amiibo compatibility and you can google what character does what if it doesn't say.

It is nice they did a gold version of him. It stands out if you are collecting them. It is still good to get a different kind of mario.

I got this for my son for Christmas and he loves it. It’s actually one of the only ones he uses. Great quality too.

The kids love the Mario Amiibo figures and this one is the special gold one. Well made and adds the special functions in the Amiibo games like all the other Amiibos. Great addition to the collection.

I've been looking for this amiibo for ages and it can finally sit beside my silver mario! If you see this amiibo in stores don't hesitate to pick it up. It could become very rare after this restock.

This figure is just like the other one, but it is gold. Looks great and it is specially good for collecting in the package.

Good job, Nintendo. After setting up a demographic of compulsive collectors and incentivizing 100% over most of your games from Mario to Zelda, you go ahead and make multiple versions of the SAME amiibo. There are three of these - Gold, Silver, and color, one original first wave mario, a doctor mario, two anniversary marios - and you know our crazy selves will compulsively buy them all ... because 100% or go home.

I left this in the box! After Wal Mart's employees scalped Gold Mario, they were very hard to find. I am so happy Best Buy got them in. :)

I remember I was miffed I couldn't get a gold Mario when they were limited Walmart exclusives. Now I've got silver and gold Mario.

I enjoy the Amiibo from Nintendo. Whether you keep them in the box to display or take them out to use them for exclusive content in Wii and 3DS games, they make great collectables for Nintendo fans. This Gold Mario, which at one point was selling for over $100, is one of my favorites.

I've been trying to find this golden Mario amiibo for a while now and I was finally able to find it at Best Buy. It's absolutely beautiful and it goes perfectly with my golden Megaman. I highly recommend purchasing this great-looking golden Mario amiibo, even if it's just for display.

Definitely pick this up when you get the chance if you like to collect Nintendo products. This might sell out and you might as well grab it now. It should function the same as the regular mario, however I believe in the Wii U mario party it gives a small bonus for being gold.

What can I say I'm a sucker for these amiibo things. All these restocks are taking a toll on my wallet. Honestly if you want an amiibo for functionality get a standard Mario but for all the collectors and people who just like shiny things on their shelves.
