Customers regard Xenoblade Chronicles 3D's gameplay, story, and music as significant strengths, praising the depth and hours of enjoyment they provide. However, the small screen size on the 3DS is a recurring concern, impacting the overall experience for some players. While the battle system and 3D effects are also appreciated, some users found the controls and camera to require adjustment. The game's compatibility is limited to the New 3DS models, a factor potential buyers should consider.

NOTE: you can only play this game on the NEW 3DS -- it will NOT work on the older models, so please be aware of that. But it is an amazing RPG, with great characters and massive world building. Just don't be discouraged by the battle system at first as I was. Once you get the hand of it, the game is excellent.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is a port of the original Wii game for the 3DS. The story is well-written with a great voice-cast. The gameplay combines traditional JRPG combat with that of a more Western MMORPG. This is a great game for those who don't mind playing a handheld game for more than 100 hours.

I never played this game when it came out for the Wii, but I am glad I picked it up this time! The battle system and story area amazing. The only thing I would like to have seen was a graphics update. However, considering it is now on a mobile platform, the game is spectacular.

As far as a JRPG goes this looks to be shaping up to be a very good adventure. My only real gripe is very minor and it is that of the graphics. I know this is a port but for being on the N3ds i thought this would wow me. Don't get me wrong it has a great scale and the story is looking to be very engrossing. If you are looking for a time consuming JRPG with great story and decent battle system then i suggest you give this a try!

There's no real added value to playing it again unless it's been awhile since you payed the original (like me), haven't played the original, or just like to see how the great game looks in 3D. Wish we got the Xenoblade Chronicles Wii U like Japan did but we always say that ;)

The most highly acclaimed RPG of the 7th generation, a re-release of Xenoblade Chronicles in glorious 3D allows a wider audience to experience this hidden masterpiece. Unbelievably huge worlds with an insane amount of comment, any fan of RPGs should give it a go.

I really enjoyed playing this game. The story was awesome and the characters are so well thought out. If you like jrpg games this is a good buy for the new 3ds but one warning this game has a lot of content and took me some time to finish.

I am impressed that Nintendo has worked such a massive Wii game onto the New 3DS. The 3D is great and there is easily 100s of hours to put into this game. Worth it for an RPG fan.

The gameplay is unique and dynamic with many different characters with different abilities. There are many side quests to keep you busy along with the main story line. Fun game and a lot of content, but a time consumer for sure!

I have this game on the wii, but got this so I can take it wherever I go. You can save almost anywhere (not just save points), which is really convenient. Voice acting is strong. Although the graphics are a bit muddy and the huge scope is confined to the smaller 3DS screen, it's still great. Battle system is engaging and real-time, keeping you on your toes.

Xenoblade is a must play for any JRPG fan and features a lengthy and interesting story that shirks genre cliches in addition to a unique battle system. My only complaints are that the sidequests are fairly repetitive and the 3DS version doesn't perform quite as well as its Wii counterpart. However, this is still a solid title that deserves to be played.

Long epic story, great controls and a tons of fun! Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will keep you going for a long time. There is a ton of side quests as well as the main story that the game can take you over 80 hours to complete.

I ended up playing Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U, before I even touched this. It was nice to see all the improved systems on X, that fell short on Xenoblade Chronicles 3D (in comparison). The storyline is great, the quests is slightly overwhelming at times along with the collectepedia and affinities. There are a plethora of ways to upgrade your characters via the skill tree, skill link, art progression, different tiers of armor, sockets for each armor, various gems collected or crafted. Although this version is a bit of a downgrade in texture and polycount compared to the Wii version, it doesn't take away from the game mechanics or story. My favorite thing is still how each armor/weapon has a visual change on your character.

I played the original Wii version of this game, and this game is pretty faithful to that. It still has a massive amount of content -- even better, you can take it on the go! Still one of my favorite recent JRPGs.

Xenoblade Chronicles for the Wii is a notoriously difficult game to get for a decent price. Anyone with a New 3DS XL will no longer have to worry about that. The game is a very solid port to the New 3DS. The health bars and mini map that are moved to the bottom screen really help to unclutter the top screen's UI, leaving you to focus on what's important (Don't worry, health bars are still visible above characters heads so you don't have to stare at the bottom screen to know if someone is in danger). I wish there was a little more touchscreen functionality personally, maybe putting the menus on the bottom screen to be able to tap without pressing X. Either way the game runs perfectly on the system and portability is a plus.

Great RPG, tons of customization and a great story. Battle system is simple yet complex with combos and skills that do bonus damage or affects based your opponents status and/or location to you in battle.

Extremely fun, great story and looks great on the new 3DS. I played it originally on the Wii. Have this game on the go is a must! Great pick up and go story with characters you will care about.
