    Powerful guard dog protection for my business

    As a small business, I don’t have the time or skills to support my IT needs. Norton Small Business Premium protects my business in so many ways beyond traditional anti-virus applications. My experience began with the install. Extremely simple and easy. Just launch the program and it walks through the process, asking questions for the various components I might want to use. No hunting for features, or how to enable functions. Once installed it performed quietly in the background. It feels like a guard dog watching for intruders, yet I never have to worry about it. Unlike my previous protection which seemed to bark at the most inconvenient times. Among the features that set this apart for me, was the focus on small business needs. Tech support for typical IT issues and virus identification and removal available 24/7. Dark web monitoring for my employees. 500GB cloud backup for my important business files. Social Media monitoring for my website to protect my admin account. It even monitors my bank accounts for suspicious activity. All of this is designed to help me focus on my business and sleep better at night. Simplicity and strength make me glad I chose this for my business.

    Norton Small Business Premium is a plus!

    Norton Small Business Premium is awesome. Very easy to setup and install. Works with Windows 11 without any issues. Allows for many security options, from malware, to extensions with browsers to prevent hackers and illegitimate players from hacking into your system. I installed on Laptops and has been protecting for almost a week with no slow down of my systems nor intrusive popups or ads. I was very impressed with it being non intrusive and for clear instructions with the wizards. Comes with VPN and Password manager if needed. Find files to cleanup, Updates your apps by finding those that need updated and allows you to continue or not. Looks for files for cleanup and again allows you to select and remove or choose what to delete if any. I have been able to free up disk space and get my laptop running at optimal configuration without fail. My laptop starts up faster since I can choose when to launch startup programs and delay those programs I don't need on startup to get things up and running quickly. Definitely would recommend this software to anyone who is looking for a solid choice.

    Great choice for any small business!

    I run a small farm and have a farm stand that we use to interact directly to consumers. This software makes things really easy. The driver update tool is super easy to use and is more intuitive than trying to rely on what is built in Windows. VPN is an easy tool to setup. The cloud backup to help protect from ransomware attacks was also intuitive and easy. Install took about 5 minutes and doesn't seem to have much if any impact on system performance. Install was easy and just required a profile to be setup. The dark web monitoring give good peace of mind to make sure passwords aren't leaked and if they are, letting you know so you can change them. The social media monitor took a bit of time to setup but was nice. As a direct to consumer business, public reputation is important and being able to easily manage and understand that reputation is at your fingertips with this. Lastly, I tried the tech support number and it was quick to connect to someone ( sub 2 minutes). I would recommend this for any small business out there that wants to focus more on the business and less on the IT stuff.

    Excellent with some Caveats

    While I still believe antivirus is a good idea, it has become less mandatory for most modern operating systems since they come with their own. However, what drew my attention to Norton Small Business Premium was that it is an all-in-one cybersecurity solution. It covers antivirus, but more importantly, it provides VPN to help with traffic tracking prevention, and cloud backup which is very helpful for many situations, but especially if you fall victim to ransomware. The only issue with the cloud backup solution is that 2TB would have been more adequate for my needs. It also comes with PC optimization tools such as PC cleaner, Safe SMS for your mobile phone, Safe Web, social media monitoring, etc., and all are managed through an intuitive interface. However, what I find missing is email protection, which is still the most used means for attacks. Yes, there is an “upgrade protection” option, but then you have to add another subscription. And be aware that they will keep reminding you to upgrade. That is the part that I don’t like. As with most Norton products, performance impact is generally minimal. The only annoyance is that notifications are a bit intrusive. Not too much, but it is still annoying. Two devices per user may not be enough even for some small businesses. It is nice that it includes 24/7 business tech support, so you don’t have to be the IT guy for your employees, especially if you don’t have dedicated IT resources like most small businesses. Overall, it is an excellent product with some caveats as explained above. Those caveats are the reason I’m not giving it five stars.

    Software that does good at what it does...

    I am a technical personal and use many different computers and mobile devices. I would recommend this for small companies and households that are not technical or have people who are not as careful on the web as they should be. I like the features included with the software and the installation was really simple. It was fairly fast depending on how much you watch and dig into each feature being installed. I liked how it played well with other Norton applications. There are so many pieces to this software that it could take some time to get each piece configured the way you want it and also to determine which options you want to take advantage of. I feel like this does a great job of providing a somewhat safe environment to work or surf the web. But it will not stop you from breaking your own system anyways. It can help maintain the system speed and performance. It works well with Windows 11 and warns you that it will not allow new installs on older versions of Windows. I do recommend this for both novice users and systems with many different types of users.

    Quiet Monitoring

    I've used a few of brands of ant- virus products and find them all useful but sometimes super aggressive, even in blocking sites I do intend to visit. I chose Norton because of thre brand, and the small business 10 unit plan was perfect for my needs. Initial set up was intuitive and mostly, uneventful except for the product code not attaching. I did not like the, 'credit card needed for auto renew'. Life happens and I may not see the notice for auto renewal, or may miss it for a number of reasons. I do not like being forced to attach my credit card to get started. I already have the product, and should not be set up for future commitment beforeI even start. Once set up, I did like the dark web monitoring, although knowing is one thing, but fixing seems to be unknown. The software has not shown any slow down or issues and works in the background fairly well. Anti-Virus is one of these background things, which I feel is necessary, but one really never knows how well its working or have much interaction with its function. That being said, I will say it shows not issued, and apart from the credit card to set up, I am fairly ok with it.
