Customers are saying

Customers highly value the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 Super 8GB graphics card's performance, especially its high frame rates in games and efficient cooling. Positive feedback also highlights the build quality, ease of installation, and generally good price-to-performance ratio. While some users noted noise and coil whine under heavy load, the majority found these issues manageable or non-existent.

Lateral Upgrade From GTX 1080 Ti

This is great video card and a lateral move, slightly better than the GTX 1080 Ti in rasturizing graphics (non RTX games). It's fairly quiet, runs cool for what it's pushing. When running RTX games you definitely will want to have DLSS turned on. I tried RTX Minecraft with DLSS off and temps were in the 70s pretty quickly. With DLSS off the temps were far below 70. I picked up Metro Exodus on the Epic Game Store while it was $20 and WOW. I played at 1440p, on a 65" HDR Samsung S8000 (2016) and with DLSS I was achieving over 60 FPS and it looks amazing when HDR and RTX are enabled. Hopefully Nvidia decides to drop the price for new comers to RTX graphics. IF the Nvidia RTX 3000 series had a stable launch, it would be hard to recommend this card. But this GPU might need to be mainstream for a bit longer until RTX 3000 series stabalizes.

Best cost vs performance value among the RTX Range

The RTX 2070 Super is, IMHO, the best cost vs. performance high-end graphics card in the current (as of 5/2020) RTX lineup. Since this is the Founder's Edition (FE) card, it has Nvidia's cherry-picked silicon which is more over-clockable compared to 3rd party RTX cards. In addition, if you look at the benchmarks of RTX 2060-2080TI cards, the 2070 Super is closer to the 2080 Super for ~$200 less. Since the 2070 Super contains the same higher-quality Samsung VRAM, you'll easily get +500Mhz overclock on the graphics memory without breaking a sweat. I've overclocked my VRAM using MSI Afterburner to +650Mhz over stock with no stability issues whatsoever. I find that the FE cards have the quietest fan coolers as well, as they use vapor chambers to cool the GPU/VRAM. Overall, an excellent choice for the serious enthusiast who wants to save over half the price of the cost of this card itself when compared to a 2080 Super, which only outperforms it by about 5-8% in most games. Lastly, I love Best Buy for stocking these reliably. Beware of getting these FE edition cards elsewhere, as they will price gouge for the FE edition or, even worse, not offer true , new, FE edition cards. Best Buy is extremely reliable in thsi respect, and there's no monkey business with what you're getting for your money. Highly recommended, at least until Nvidia Ampere comes out later this year (2020)! I'll be buying my Ampere-based RTX card from Best Buy for the very same reasons as well.

This is a really great card for the money. On par or a little faster or slower depending on the game than a RTX 2080. Looks really nice. Fans are very efficient and quiet under load. I was wondering where the SLI bridge was but I noticed its being covered by a very nice metal piece. One piece of concern I have is the graphics card being very heavy.

I bought two of them. I know they're sold out now and I am sorry. Got one for me and my bro. They are super fast and run super hot the topside gets hot enough to cook eggs during gaming. They are constructed very well. Best bang for buck that I could find. This beast is a massive heater, so it'll need good case cooling. I got Industrial PPC 140mm Noctuas cooling it. Doesn't go above 60c during gaming. Huge upgrades over our RX 480's. Got these instead of the 5700xt sorry ATI.

I upgraded to this from my old GTX 970 and I couldn't be happier! This graphics card is amazingly fast and all of my games run perfectly without issue! Games like Overwatch, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey runs very well and smoothly without issues! For reference, I'm running a system with 32GB of RAM and a Ryzen 7 CPU. I am also using a 1440p monitor and this card runs games very well in that resolution! Of course, this will run perfectly on 1080p HD monitors, but at 1440p this thing blew my mind!! Another thing to note, this is a reference card and it is a bit noisy but it's not too loud, so just something to keep in mind if you are building a silent PC setup. Overall, this RTX 2070 Super is so worth it! If you are looking to upgrade or are looking for a new graphics card, this is definitely the one you are looking for!

Upgraded to this from a GTX 1060 and the difference is incredible! This thing maxes out my 1080p 144Hz monitor in all the games I play with ultra graphics, without breaking a sweat. Runs super quiet and cool as well. It's also the most beautiful looking card compared to any of the other 2070 Supers out there. Definitely a must buy for reliable, and extremely powerful performance!

Only had this for a few days now, but it has worked flawlessly from the get go. I was lucky enough to snag one of these before they went out of stock again. This card is a beast. Its huge, beautiful, shiny and heavy. It handles my 3 monitors with ease, main display is 27" - 1440, one display is 29" - ultrawide 1080 and the other 24" - 1080. Runs all the games on ultra without any issues. League of Legends, Warcraft, Control, DOOM, Overwatch, Anthem... this card does it all. Amazing value.

Great card for high FPS 1080p gaming

I primarily play AAA fps titles in 1080p on a mix of medium-ultra settings and this card routinely delivers avg FPS in excess of 135 fps. In games like CS:GO, I'm averaging 330 FPS on medium settings. I manually adjusted the fan curve more aggressively in MSI Afterburner to keep temps lower which greatly contributes to higher boost clocks being sustained for longer. I settled for this card because I grew tired of waiting for the 3080 card to come in stock and it's been great so far. I'll probably still sell this on ebay when I can get my hands on a 3080 but in the meantime it's more than capable.

During the pandemic, I built my first PC and it happens to be geared towards gaming. I needed a graphics card and we all know how difficult it is to get one a retail prices these days. When this card came up as available, I had to get it in order to complete my gaming PC build. I’m easily getting over 100 fps in COD Cold War at medium to high settings detail, using a Dell S3220dgf monitor. Likes: Plenty of graphical power for my needs; glowing green logo; fan noise is quiet for the most part; aesthetics is nice looking; has USB-C, DVI; and HDMI output options Dislikes: Right out of the box, it has coil whine. I don’t hear it with headphones on, but I do as I’m typing this review. Oh, by the way: The card has some heft to it and it looks and feels premium. If you need a graphics card and this comes up as available again, don’t hesitate to smash that purchase button.

The best option if you want Ray Tracing

I bought this card to play Control with all settings maxed out, including Ray Tracing. It gets the job done, and runs the game smoothly at around 60 FPS, and occasionally will dip to 45 FPS when lots of things are happening onscreen. Some people may find this disappointing, but I'm perfectly happy with that performance, especially considering the game looks phenomenal and is fun to boot. This is probably not the best "value" card, go with an ATI if you want that. But this is the best value for performance if you want to experience Ray Tracing, which depending on who you ask is either a waste of frames or the next generation of graphics technology. I'm definitely a fan, accurate reflections are now possible for the first time, and Control is a great game to experience this innovation with. Ohh yeah, the card also comes with Modern Warfare, which is a great game, and makes this card an even better deal. I'm super excited to play Cyberpunk 2077 with RTX ON!

I was pleasantly surprised on how well Best Buy had this item priced with their track record and selection of such a specific type of item. I was able to get the extra 10% off with my birthday month with having the rewards program and that made quite a difference when price shopping this item. Best Buy didn't overprice it when it was quite hard to come by like a lot of other E-tailers were doing and shipping was free. I'm happy with the performance and am able to destroy any 1080P gaming on the highest settings. Stepping up to RTX games it still has mostly 60+ FPS and there's no stuttering and it looks amazing. Definitely recommended if you want to dive into RTX gaming as it's one step above the entry level RTX cards in the 2060. If you plan on going SLI/NVLink in the future, you need to start here and that helped make my decision as well. 2060 does not have that capability.

Built on an RTX 2080 PCB this gem definitely delivers the goods. I benchmarked it using 3D Mark and it scored two hundred points higher than an EVGA 2070 Super FTW3 Ultra that I also have. FPS is in the 120s in COD Warfare and BF5. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, 100s. HALO Master Chief Collection I'm getting 240s to 400s. Metro Redux 120s to 140s. Like I said, excellent GPU. The only gripe I have is that the RTX logo is green only. You can't change the color. You can put some effects on it using EVGA's Precision X1 or you just shut it off. Kind of anti-climatic if you ask me.

What I can expect from this GPU is something fascinating. I spent so much time and such a tough night trying to buy it on nvidia.com was never sucess. This product is sold as hot cakes. I always had to keep eyes when is back on stock check check again until I was successful made the purchase so happy. I know it is not the best gpu on the market right now, but I can do everything and play as well. It is very difficult to buy the 2080ti, the price is very high, but this card is more or less than the 2080. I like it, it has a good design when I play, it does not exceed 75c temp. My first build and feels this mother in my hands. It is like an excited child. I love.

Cheapest 2070 Super at MSRP that performs like a champ when overclocked/undervolted, and hassle free experience as well. Out of the box it topped at 79'C stock settings under heavy benchmarks in a small form PC case (SG13). Kinda hot. I undervolted from base 1125mV to 950mV maintaining boost clock of 1920mhz with MSI Afterburner and saw temps max at 66'C with custom fan curve at room temperature. Insane. Way quieter, better performance and no issues like crashes or blue screens. Highly recommended at this price.

This was an upgrade from my GTX 1070. Had an issue with frame rates about a month into using it. Used Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) and haven't had any issues since. I would recommend you use DDU to prevent issues. Absolutely excellent build quality! This card kicks the crap out of my 1070.

Absolutely fantastic. Runs pretty much everything at high/ultra. I got this for Flight Simulator 2020 and runs around 30FPS at 4K. For a flightsim you don’t need more than that. It might get a bit warmer, but nothing dangerous, so consider it if your case doesn’t have good airflow.

Recently purchased this gpu and it runs like a champ been a month since purchase and has been running all my games on ultra settings. Upgraded from an 1060Ti and boy am I satisfied with this card. Price was good to pretty much retail price when card first released go to amazon and this card is over 600! Compared to my ex child, a EVGA 1070ti FTW, this card has significant improvement in performance. I went from getting 144fps at high settings to a very stable 144fps at ultra settings. This card is making me hunt for a 1440p monitor! The only con I see with this card is not being able to fully customize the solid green letters. Overall I am very pleased with this purchase.

This is the best video card I’ve had so far. My bench score went from just over 500 to over 10,000 using the 3-D mark benchmark software. Been using nvidia cards since GTX770 . I don’t regret at all to switch from red team to green . All those cards in the past , great experiences. With this one ... is not going to be different. Choose 2070 súper over 2080 S because by performance and price . 2070 S is the king in the hill .
