This case protected my switch. The only downside is it is very difficult to take off.

Not a bad case, I've had better. The Joyce covers are really great quality. The case for the actual switch is a little flimsy, due to design. But It's exactly what I needed!

Not a very good case but sometimes it did allow me to play games with comfort but sometimes it would come apart but its fine.

For the price it wasn’t that bad my son dropped it I would say five times before the whole shell came off but once again for the price it isn’t that bad

Let’s talk about the Nintendo Switch and 9 year olds, shall we? While intended to protect the console and its parts from various bumps and scratches, especially those say, caused by an easily excitable and often forgetful - therefore carefree - 9 year old, it doesn’t. Why? Because of the way the pieces snap together around the parts of the console. The casing for each joycon is thick enough to prevent scuffs and scrapes... if... IF... they actually stay on at all. The flimsy clips which connect the top and bottom parts are not durable and come apart with the slightest jolt - counterintuitive design for sure. The top and bottom pieces for the main part of the console also come apart easily, and the top portion is already flimsy to begin with. But Reviewer, you say, can you provide an example of this? Sure. Switch console was in 9 year old’s small backpack, designed for the safe transport of the Switch console. When the backpack happened to fall from the car - a VW Beetle, so we’re talking low clearance here, we thought “no big deal, we have the backpack AND this lovely protective case!” We got inside only to discover the top and bottom pieces had separated, leaving the parts for this case separate to the console itself (which thankfully, was actually protected from the small drop by the backpack alone). Oh - and the d-pad cover? It’s too stiff - makes it more difficult to push the actual d-pad beneath it. Anyway, don’t waste your time or your dollars.
