My son likes this box very much. My only complaint is that it won't latch shut if the wire isn't tucked in exactly right. This is almost impossible for my 7 year old to do.

My son loves it as his Nintendo switch is protected and can be charged on the go as well...

Good case to protect the switch and extend battery life.

We purchased this case to take the switch on trips and it's perfect especially in the car or at hotels as it turns into a stand. Very hardy.

I got this thinking that it would be great to have a case with a backup battery built in. But after i put just a thin glass screen protector on my switch, it was very hard to close and I worried that it would pop open. After putting a silicone cover on my switch it wouldn't close at all. Add to that the fact that nyko docks have apparently been bricking systems due to cheap power cables, and it quickly becomes more trouble than it's worth. I ended up returning mine.

The case, at first, feels very professionally made. It's very sleek and has a smooth matte finish. I thought I'd like it when I saw it and fell in love when I actually opened it up. However, my love quickly faded. There are quite a few concerns which may more than likely be the cause of me returning it within a week The hinges on the back of the case are open. I don't really know how to explain this well, but the design of the hinges seems as though one drop with the case being open and they'll break. This is a pretty big oversight in my opinion. The charge is extremely slow and doesn't seem to only give a half charge. When I opened it up yesterday night, I put it on the charger and allowed it to get a full charge. Upon using the charger on my Switch tonight, I was at roughly 30% battery. It felt as though it took ages to charge, even with most of the charging happening with the system in standby and when the Shell ran out of charge, my system was left with about 80-85% which would be roughly a 50% charge from my original 30%. Which infact you need to adjust the charger quite a bit for it to start charging if not it’s going to sit ideal instead of getting charged. The lock doesn't feel that it's made to last. When closing the Shell, I feel as though I have to give a good push in order to ensure that the case fully locks shut. Even more so, when looking at the case when closed with the Switch inside, it looks as though a nudge from luggage while traveling or an accidental bump will be all that is needed to pop the shell open. Nyko could have gone for a latch, rather than a press button. My biggest concern is that the case looks as though it will be the catalyst of damage to my Switch. As we see the cart slots press on the Switch screen. Coupled with the fact that the Switch does have slight wiggle room in the case, this will inevitably cause scratches to the screen. I have a tempered glass screen protector on my Switch and no protector on my GF's. The slots press against the screen easily, as with mine I feel they will eventually dent or crack my protector and the focused pressure could cause long-term issues to the screen itself. I feel Nyko's attempt to circumvent the scratches at least is with the removable screen cleaning cloth, which can be fastened over the top portion, protecting your Switch from slot scratches. However, the cloth has no slack when it's fully fastened. Finally, the inner borders of the Shell have a protective foam which would protect the Switch, however, they are kept in place by a wall of the same hard plastic as the rest of the inner Shell which completely contradicts the installation of the foam in the first place. I don't see how this was even looked at as possible, as the switch is pressed down on my this plastic wall all the way around. Overall, I don't recommend it. Unless I got unlucky and picked up a defective one, which with how well it is assembled I doubt is the case. I'd like to hear from anyone else that has picked it up, and I hope anyone that is considers getting it gets the chance to read my review before wasting their time. Last but not least, this was shipped to me and now i have been asked to take back to chandler store and they can ship the product which will reach out to me after 10 days. Even though its best buy and one of the leading in electronics industry they do not stock these one's in their store. Instead of waiting for them to ship i will be ordering with other competitors
