This what the micro four thirds group needed. A real good serious big telephoto. I have been using it on sailboat races, shooting from land and
it has the range and sharpness needed to reach out and be able to crop
if needed. And still be sharp in a cropped photo. Great long distance bird
lens. 600 mm and with the tel adapter 840 mm that you can hand hold
because of five way stability built into the lens. You need this. I did.

Having used all the available 600mm f4 lenses out thereThis is without question my all time favorite.Weight,close focusing,build quality,is superb.N unqualified thumbs up.

The Olympus 300 mm f4 pro is simply a fantastic prime lens. I use it exclusively for wildlife photography. Mated with the new EM1MkII this lens enables me to get 75-90% success rate on BIF. The autofocus is fast and the additional stabilization control is very useful. I know it is pricey but much less than what I would have had to pay for an equivalent lens with my Nikon cameras.

I bought this lens for wildlife photography because I can hand-hold this lens with its image stabilizing capability in conjunction with OMD's 5-axis image stabilizing. Sometimes, wildlife just doesn't stand still for a tri-pod shot. The price point is high but this lens is well worth it!

This powerful Zuiko lens works well on my EM1.2 allowing me to get close to wildlife. I have no problems with it.
