I tried to play this DVD, "Once," on 2 different DVD players, and, both times, got a message that it was unable to play! It is my intention to return it.

This movie tells a great story with music. You won't see random song and dance. The music just fits beautifully in this movie. Bonus is that the songs are awesome! The 2 characters aren't actors trying to sing. They are 2 musical artists that are trying to act, which they pull off greatly! When I watched the trailer for this movie, what sold me was the music. I was really hyped for it and I wasn't let down. I even bought the album! Go Indy film! They won an Oscar for best original song, which was well-deserved. I loved the story, but I won't spoil it. Just buy it!

I found it a very powerfull story. I found space in the music, in the scenes, in the meanings. Every moment in the movie was in the right place. I have never ejoyed musical movies, but this one it really let me impressed. I like it because does not have any adult content and the message is really clear. It is R rated because sometimes the says some bad words but that was something that really let me more impressed. It is a pure movie with a great message. I will recommend to buy the soundtrack too...it is really good.

This is a charmingly told story of two people who find each other and form a real connection over music. The music is wonderful, and the way the story lays out feels very real -- no Hollywood, phony ending here. What keeps it from being a great film, is that it never goes very deep. The exploration of the characters and their relationship always stays pretty close to the surface.

One of the best movies in 2007! A very simple love story that many can relate to in meeting someone who truly changes their live. Very real conversations with extremely moving music that expresses deep emotion. This movie is great because it was intended to be more than a real examination of chance meetings and how people can express themselves through music. The soundtrack is highly recommended to along with anything from the Frames!

This is a perfect example of a modern day musical. It is a great story and easy to follow. Fun to watch and very creative. If you want to understand it a little more, watch the more guy, more girl trailer in the special features. It gives you a better understanding of the movie's flow. Wonderful piece of artistry and the music is just great to listen to. I'm getting the soundtrack, because there are some good feeling tracks to listen to. Worth watching a couple times. Excellent date movie too.

This film has it all: characters you will fall in love with, songs that you will want to listen to over and over, and a simple storyline that will have you completely entranced. You will not want it to end, and once it does, you will most likely want to watch it again and again.

This is a great independent film. The plot is not typical and cliched and the music is superbly done. These are songs you want to hear again and again.

One of the best films that I have seen in years. No adult scenes, no explosions and no violence. A very moving film about human relationships.
