This sub really woke up the movies and music that I play with my system, I plan on getting another one in the near future, it really sounds very good no distortion and hits the very low notes , a very good addition

my use for this product is for Karaoke(main reason) and movies. i don't care so much about the movies as i do with my music and karaoke. this provided my system just the right amount of punch to the music and rounded out the sounds very nicely without hitting too hard or being too wimpy. i actually had to re watch the 25th anniversary of the phantom to appreciate the sounds that this sub brought out from the orchestra in the blu ray. i also didn't want something so big that it would get in the way and the price was just up my alley!!!!

I purchased thus woofer to replace an old one that finally died. I read reviews that send the bass wasn't good for large room. Those reviews are so wrong. I have an open floor plan and this woofer puts out plenty of bass. For the size and price you can not go wrong. I waited to leave this review because I want to experience the bass for a bit first. I can't complain.

I got this for my small home where a normal sized subwoofer wouldn't fit. I doubt this would compete well against a 12" or bigger woofer, but for my space it is perfect. It has a nifty auto-off system that I have never had issues with. I would recommend anyone who wants to build a home theater in a small environment, like a usual California home.

I needed a reasonably priced sub to add to my stereo. This one was exactly what I was looking for. Has good sound/bass.

With this unit the house will shake ! I am very happy with the price and the sound. We feel like a whole new surround sound was created once this bass unit said hello..

It has a bass that truly envelops you. Not that sharp punch type bass where you feel exactly where its coming from but the kind you feel around you. It's a very large box, and probably is best for larger rooms. Great for movies, not bad for music though with music I would say I prefer the sharper bass sound. It may have that if your room is large enough. I'm not a sound expert this is just how it comes across to me. Overall very happy with my purchase and what it does for my man cave. If you don't have to worry about neighbors or someone sleeping in your house this is definitely the sub for you.

I was looking an affordable and decent Sub to compliment my Bose speakers and the Onkyo brand exceeded my expectations. It was so loud I had to put it on low power most of the time to not annoy my neighbor

This subwoofer was way more than I expected. It feels the room with exactly what you need in every arena. I highly recommend this subwoofer to anyone who is looking for an excellent product at a great price...there is absoulutely no reason to pay the high cost of those other so called high end manufacturers. Onkyo really did it this time!

I bought this subwoofer to replace an older Onkyo that finally died after seven or so years. I will briefly go over the positives and negatives of this item. Positives: Provides excellent bass power for the price, and can really rattle the room if you have a good system to go with it. It is also fairly small, so it should be easy to find a place for it. Negatives: The woofer has settings for both frequency and subwoofer volume, but there is no way you would ever be able to run it at max power, so I would have preferred a simpler "one size fits all" sort of approach with just the volume setting like my old subwoofer was. It is EXTREMELY difficult to get the settings just right for the room you have, and it will never be perfect for everything you watch. This woofer can't quite handle the same amount of power as my old one did, and even though I have the settings as good as they can be, it will still clip and distort on certain really loud things, and you can often find yourself constantly trying to adjust the volume on your system in hopes of finding the right balance. My settings are about 3/4 of max for the frequency setting, and about half of that for the volume. Any higher than that and you'll get a lot of clipping or things rattling that never did before. Overall, this is a good product for the price, but there are definitely better woofers out there. It is also one of the few downfiring subwoofers still available anymore. I am guessing that front firing woofers can give you cleaner sound, but they are more expensive and it can be more difficult to find a good place to put them in your room. Anyways, yep. Nice product that will satisfy you if you want something solid, and I would probably be willing to snag another as a backup for whenever this one eventually dies.

Perfect addition to my Onkyo RZ810, shakes the room. Works great with movies and games. Auto on feature works well, must buy for the price.

This subwoofer is awesome. Shakes my house and that's on very low power using a basic Denon receiver. Only thing that surprised me was the size. It's a pretty big subwoofer, but I guess I never compared sizes and just ordered it online without seeing it in the store.

It has deep booming bass and love being able to adjust the sound level as well as the frequencey response range.

This is a great deal don't pass it by would be good addition to your system

I replaced my 5 year old Bose lifestyle with an Onkyo Amp and this Sub, value for money this out strips the Bose. The only advantage I would give the Bose is points for overall size but the Bose is not adjustable like this Sub.

Offers great sound and tone for it size. Better than average workmanship and style. Perfect for either 5 or 7 position surround sound effects.

I'm not an expert in audio but I like to listen to all the instruments playing on a song and also all the features from movies no days and this one provide me great audio to complement my Onkyo Receiver with not so good speakers. I think for the price is a good buy and having the option of protect it with the geek squad is a plus.

Was skeptical of this subwoofer due to the size and price. After setting up, I found out my worry was for nothing. It is easily able to fill a 15x20 room with enough bass to be noticeable. It won't rattle the windows without really raising the volume, unlike some systems, but provides a nice full bass to go with the rest of my setup.
