Some important features like connectivity to wireless network is not that great, so had to use ethernet which constrained the base unit to be close to router/modem which was away in another room. It defeated the whole purpose of having an voicemail to check and call back from the desk one would normally keep the phone.

Ooma Tello Air 2 Box and Hand Sets

Works as advertised. Wireless connection is reliable and it stays connected. Call quality is good. Hand sets are also good with one exception. It is easy to read until the dial lights up white light for the numbers with white keys. (mine is a white version, not black) Can be very difficult to read then. Black might be a better color choice for that reason.

Works Great for my 80+ year old Mom

I purchased this as a landline for when my Mom when her cell phone battery would run out. Also, it is great to have this Ooma line when she asked questions about her cell phone. I am using it for basic service so the cost per month for taxes is less than $10. I bought this for a second line since I could not get to my Mom when she had trouble with her cell phone because her building was locked down for the Covid19. I worked out with the staff to plug it in for me after I programmed it in the parking lot with their Wi-Fi node access. She plugged it in and it worked great. The only thing is if you do not have enough bandwidth on the Wi-Fi, the person with the Ooma will hear you clearly but they may break up a bit on your end due to allocation for download bandwidth trumps the upload bandwidth. Still is a good system to use as a backup to a cell phone.

Price was right on scale. Have been with Ooma over 10 years, replacing my current landline.I needed to replace finally but decided I wanted one of the other versions without the extra phone s. Customer service at Ooma great. Best Buy terrific other than the items were on back order with the sale and then had to be shipped to Home separate say

The Telo wireless was dropping out and taking a long time to come on-line, so I attached a cable and that seemed to help. And don't forget to hit the button on the Telo's machine whenever there is an interruption. We were not getting any calls for about a week and that's when we figured out that their on-line call blocker was blocking a massive amount of phone numbers like our bank, the power company, friends, etc. Apparently, it blocks anything anybody complains about. So, I removed the lists of known and suspected spammers. I do however like the fine tuning I can do with blocking callers by name and number. The Telo has a nice call log to help with that. Now that we can make calls, the call quality is acceptable, but not stellar. We also use our normal analog phones with this device, so we have a lot of handsets throughout the house. That is nice and you sure can't beat the price!

Got these for my in laws so they could get rid of their current landline provider. Their is some initial up front cost to get the landline ported over but well worth it since they will be saving money in the long run. One of them was so used to their old phones that I ended up setting that phone up along with the 2 included handsets. I have heard no complaints.

We had a Ooma box. Our phones were about 9 years old. We decided to upgrade. We got a new box and 2 Ooma phone as a special deal. The sound quality is fantastic. No plug in wall, all wireless.

I had the older version of the Ooma Telo and after 5 years it was still going strong. I wanted to add extra receivers and the new units are not compatible with the 5-year-old Ooma, so I decided to purchase this combo. So far so good, I have loved the Ooma service since day one, it has every featured you could ever need from your home telephone system and then some.

Product so far works just fine, never really answer my landline because of robo-calls. Cut my phone bill from $13 to $6. Setup was simple & fast. “Porting” my phone number only took 3-4 days. The HD3 handsets use AAA rechargeable batteries instead of proprietary battery pack. The base station doesn’t have any “ringer” built in so you do have to connect a wired phone if you need to have it ring. The one weird thing is Ooma’s own web site doesn’t seem to sell this package so I was a little skeptical but it works and is a pretty good price from Best Buy.

Bought it for replacing my landline phone, but then returned because found a better deal with a different company. The phones and the base were nice but the service I found it a little expensive compared to other one. Ooma Offers a free plan but still you have to pay taxes and fees, depending on you're city and state So I just didn't want to pay $120 for the device + $5.45 a month for taxes & fees + the $40 one time fee for transferring my number (that would have been $165.45 up front + $60 for the rest of the year, charged monthly. Now with Magickjack was $60 in total ($40 for the device with a whole year of service + $20 for the number transfer). one great thing I can say about Ooma, is that it offers offers a better customer service. so my sincere opinion is that if you are going to ditch landline and big telecoms to save money go for Ooma. I did my homework and compared it to many alternative companies and found it the best in price AND customer service.

This phone seems to be good and is easy to set up. BUT if you plan to port your current phone service over to it. DO NOT cancel that service until the porting is complete.

Great buy! Easy to install an d it has a security system capability built in! Saving a lot of money getting rid of the phone bill and the security service bill from ADT. More access to the status of the security and phone system. Porting the phone number was easy too!

I would love to be able to give this a 5 star rating but jeez there are things missing that seem to be common sense. Firstly, you are REQUIRED to have a debit card on file for the unavoidable taxes and fees. I called to ask if i could pay ahead a year or so to avoid having yet another company having my debit card number in perpetuity and another thing to remember to set up again when my debit card gets replaced...no go. There is a way to bank money on the site but its only for long distance. Next...if the power goes out this thing takes multiple forevers to reboot (a long time...a very very long time). Its also not the same long time every time...sometimes its 30 minutes sometimes its an hour but always very very long. The call quality when you make calls is average. Get one if you need one it works well and the price is great but dont expect perfection. There are other things but I'd stop reading about here so good luck.
