Our computer crashed and we were concerned that all of the data on our hard drive was lost. Geek Squad determined the data was on the hard drive and reinstalled the operating system to allow us to continue to use the laptop.

Set an appointment but still had to wait while they took people who had not made an appointment. I had a lot of trouble getting them to understand that a friend of mine who is not computer literate had entered his email address wrong and so you could not get into computer again so we would have to get them to reload system. He had only plugged it in one time. I told them that he needed set up so he could just plug in and get his emails ect. They said it would take 2 days to redo machine at the earliest. They sent an email about 2 hours later and said it was ready. We went to pick it up a couple of days later and they did not set it up for him. They just ran a quick program charged almost $200.00 and said they do not set up after a discussion they did a couple of things He took it home and was not able to get on Internet so I had to make another trip to his house to get it set up. He lives about 30 miles from me. I spent several hours and most of the work myself. So NO I would NOT recommend Geek Squad .....

I only got the service because I didn't have a better option. I brought my laptop for repair around 5 times. They never fixed it. They only reseted back to the original state, after couple months I experienced the same issye. Finally I asked the to change the hard drive. They did. I needed an appointment for pick up. The technician should sit with me and walk me through everything they did. Well he just handed to me and said he didn't know anything. He just read the note that said Hard drive change. That's all. Went home and I couldn't download windows. I went back to the technician with out an appointment. he seemed annoyed by me, I don't remember what he said and I left again. Once again I couldn't set up my computer for the 3rd time I came back and the technician decided to bring a second person to deal with me. This second technician took my computer to see issue. Some how he didn't know why the computer didn't allow to download windows 11, but he was able to download windows 10. Finally my computer was working fast. He was nice and advised me to come back again to see what was the issue with windows 11 (computer had windows 11 before changing the hard drive). Honestly I don't think g-squad have people skills
