After getting the Note 8, I knew it had to be protected. I didn't like the bulkiness of the more premium Otterbox, and didn't like the flimsyness of the cheaper one, so Commuter is a nice in-between. The phone's been dropped once, and it was successfully protected by this case. The only downside is that there's no screen protector, so one will need to be bought separately. But it fits in my pants nicely and isn't bulky imo!

I normally use Otter Box cases & I love this one. It's slim & lives up to the brand's reputation. I have dropped other Note phones in Otter Box cases from about 5 ft & they have been fine. If I had to say anything negative about these cases it would be that they are too beefy in the fact that the dust covers tend to push against the plugs so I normally cur them off... but that's just my opinion

I was surprised to find when I attached the other box to my note 8 that it did not no longer come with the protective clear cover over the screen. Other than that change the case is a great protective case. You still should buy a cover or protective film to cover your Glass screen.

It doesn't protect as well as some other Otter Box cases, but its also not as bulky and doesn't have the rubber exterior. Good protection in a slim sleek case that's comfortable to hold.

My wife has only had this phone for a couple weeks and the nice pink color is starting to darken just from general dirtiness. I'm sure cleaning it would help bring back the pink color.

When I purchase I loved the fact it was pink, I wont take away that it does protect against drops. But if looking for something cute to eye.....not it!

Very well built case. Phone fits snugly into the case and gives solid protections against drops. Of course there is no screen cover, so you can still break the screen if stepped on or dropped on a rock, etc. But I am very happy with the design and ruggedness of the case.

It protects your phone well. I dropped it many times already and phone is ok. But it gets dirty and it's hard to clean. Mine got blue from jeans right away. You still have to be careful with the screen. If you drop face down on a rock it will not safe :)

This is an awesome case, if you are super tough on your phone. Really protective. Sometimes I found it a bit too bulky, and sometimes callers had a hard time hearing me on speakerphone with this case on.

It would be betrer it had screen protector like in the past & a kickstand to sit phone upright by itself. Not sure how it is protecting the phone this far because hopefully I won't drop the phone to find out.

I bought this case for my husband as he is a mechanic and his phone is still in one piece! However, if you use one of the charging pads you have to take off the hard shell in order for it to charge.

The case is a beast and protects well. The thing is that my wife has a much slimmer case, and her phone feels way sexier than mine in the otter box. To date neither phone has had any damage from falls.

The Note 8 is not a tiny phone. Still, this is expensive hardware. The otterbox brand has good cases. The commuter is a great case that doesn't turn the phone into the size of a brick.

As always with an otter box it provides a great amount of protection. However this case is kinda slick and it wants to slide out of your hand. If it had more grip it would get 5 stars.

Love otter box and all their cases I decided to go with the commuter series instead of the defender series and I didn't realize this version doesn't come with screen protection.

So far this compact case feels great, looks great, and the Gel liner gives the extra protection. Reason for 4 stars is that it lacks a stand like others I've owned before.

Otterbox fit my phone perfectly. The color was just like the picture. Only issue was my Jean's dyed on it a lot so it stained my case.
