It was an interesting movie and Christian Bale did not fail to deliver another good movie, however this movie had a great cast overall. I wont talk about the movie because I dont want to spoil it so its a must watch movie to me.

Having seen Crazy Heart, Black Mass and Hostiles from the same director I figured it would be intense. Well acted - Christian Bale is always great. Woody Harrelson plays the most vile character you'll ever see. It's a film about down on their luck people who just can't seem to catch a break, so it might be a bit of a downer for many. But it's a well acted film and if you're in the mood for stark realism and flawed characters, check it out.

This is a good example of when the sum of its parts are better than the final product. Stellar cast and a great movie, it is just very slow and a bit depressing. Finally once the third act starts up the movie comes together.

Bale and Affleck are an excellent combo, and several other big names are great in this movie as well. Woody Harrelson is one of my favorite actors, and he does not disappoint

Acting was excellent by Bale, Affleck, and Harrelson. Story was very intersting and the movie moved along well.

This is a good movie probably one of my favorite Christian Bale movies good story and acting was well done.

I just saw this for the first time. How did I ever miss this gem? Christian Bale is as great as ever and Matthew McConaughey is a very excellent bad guy. Add a very good supporting cast, a riveting plot, and it kept me glued to my set.

Good drama with great cast. Enjoyed this movie from start to finish.

Christian Bale still makes this rather run-of-the-mill proposition appealing, regardless of how oddly unfashionable he may currently be.This is a gem that should be sought out. Anchored by a strong cast, this effective drama captures the seedy underbelly of the working class.

Decent movie. Worth the watch, but nothing to get excited about

This movie is very good if you like Noir. It gives a glimpse of the rust belt. My issue was that the digital copy was already expired after I bought it. Both Best Buy and Fox did very little to fix the situation. My guess is the majority of these blu-rays have expired codes.

I love the movie but was upset that digital code inside package was already expired 2 yrs ago. So I was able to download it as well. I watch a lot of on the go movies and shows.
