The camera said that it was water resistant which is not waterproof. I mounted it without a waterproof case and it did not do very well at all because the wind moved it it kept going off wine etc. Once I ordered the weatherproof housing and get it all set up it is not went off-line wants yet and it has been two months. It is absolutely wonderful. I'm at work I can check in see the packages have been delivered.I was able to see someone get into my truck. And of course you can see some more laughable moments. That rapid recap is fun nominal. I think this camera is a really good by. I plan on getting a second one for inside the house. I would definitely recommend it.

Easy to follow instruction for outdoor installation.

I needed to move one of my Flir FX cameras outside. This is the attachment that allow you to mount it outside.

Perfect fit for the camera and easy to assemble and mount.

I hooked this camera and housing up a night that it was pouring rain.. It works great.

If I would have read more carefully, I would have bought them together...but I didn't know the camera wasn't waterproof. So, had to order this anyway. It is solid...I mean a really well built housing. I put it up and I am a 55 year old arthritic woman. Tip: Use the enclosed Alan wrench first, then slide off the cover. You have more room to work. It was easy to put up and it looks great. I love the extra LED lights. Just the camera there didn't make it bright enough unless there was motion. This really illuminates and makes me feel safe to peek before opening the doors. I really recommend this if you have the camera...you have to have this.

Great concept however the company has had MAJOR issues with it's Rapid ReCap function, which is why many user purchase this product. We have the FX and have been in contact with their support team at least 6 times over a 2 month period. They are supposedly working on fixing the Rapid Recap feature, however they need 2 months... well they are selling the feature today, and probably should pull product until it's fixed. They are clearly misrepresenting their product. Their phone support team are not prepared to deal with the calls. I regret purchasing this product.
