Overwatch is a hero shooter, a 6 v 6 with four classes. The game has four game types; king of the hill, double cap, escort, and cap escort. The game has 21 characters, over all the characters are pretty balanced some have a few broken features, but over all pretty balanced. It is a first person hero shooter. It is a great addition to the genre.

This has to be my favorite game of all time. It's very well put together visually and structurally. There are over 20 playable characters, each with different attributes, and it makes for HOURS of fun! (New content all the time too!)

When the game came out and I seen everyone raving about it, I watched a few YouTube videos of it and wrote it off as a children's anime game. Then Xbox had a free trial weekend and I tried it out for a round and didn't really enjoy it. I seen it on sale this past holiday season so I figured I'd give it one last try and boy am I glad I did! It has strategy with the 4 different classes of characters and if you are in a group who are communicating (very rare in games today) you can coordinate and work together which I have a blast doing. If your not sold yet I have one last thing that should do the trick...all DLC is FREE!!! That means you don't have to pay for the addition of new levels and characters like other games. The only downside is no story mode, but the immersive multiplayer makes up for it.

My teenage kids play this non stop with their friends online.

This game is amazing. It is a change of pace from other shooters due to the heavy team dynamics. It requires teamwork and necessary attention to the objective and not just getting eliminations (k/d doesn't matter). Very refreshing.

When Overwatch was first announced I was skeptical, the market is getting flooded with new fps every week and these mock-MOBAS are popping up everywhere. Yet Overwatch seems to be the most user friendly and down right fun option out there today! Being able to choose if you're playing truly competitively or for fun online makes this game an excellent choice for any gamer. It needs to be mentioned that this game is made to be played online and if you prefer to play games alone this is NOT the game for you. Also there is no split screen/couch co-op available. These two points are the only reason this review is a 4 star and not a 5. All that aside I would fully recommend thus game to anyone looking for a new obsession for the next few months

Cartoon type shooter game with no swearing. Great for kids.

When I got Overwatch, I wasn't sure if this game was going to be for me. But as I played it more and more, the deep gameplay, the solid FPS mechanics, and the cool characters sold me. A huge surprise game for me this past year.

Great game, cool graphics, can't put it down. Fun fun fun.

Overwatch is a fun shooter with classes that offer something for everyone, even those of us who can't score headshots (and. if we're being honest, can barely score body shots.) There are lots of character choices: protect your team with shields and armor, disrupt the enemy team with a mobile character, snipe from a distance, build walls to protect and cut off your enemies, throw down some turrets to protect objectives, heal your team, deal tons of damage, take tons of damage and heal yourself, stun dangerous opponents, etc. One of the most impressive aspects of the game for me as a casual player is the design of the audio queues which deliver a ton of information without interfering with your play. For instance, you can tell who is walking near you by the distinct sound of their footsteps, you can tell who is using their ultimate skill, and your teammates will warn you when an enemy is behind you without your human teammate having to press a button. I wasn't terribly excited about giving Blizzard any more of my money, they have enough as it is, but I purchased Overwatch for both XBox One and PC. It's really good.

Its a buy: Overwatch is a fun objective based game. Fast paced and entertaining on a level a game like say COD could not achieve. It does this without being repetitve unlike many other shooters. With 20 unique characters spread among 4 different classes, each contributing something to the game. The only caveat is there are too many people who dont understand the game. The result is you will have a team of 4 snipers or 3 of the same character on a team leaving you to either pick up the slack as a Tank or Healer and try to win by playing the objective or (and most likely) accept that your teammates are idiots who think its a team deathmach and accept the inevitable loss. Advice play with mulitple friend who understand the game to minimize team related frustration.

Really fun game. Several game modes. No story mode just as a heads up for people who normally are into that. Lot of different characters to choose from, all having their own abilities and roles to help the team win.

My son truly enjoys this game. Recommend this game.

First off I was always a huge fan of Team Fortress 2. This game brings elements of that the game back. First you have diverse characters and, locations. Each allowing you to play your own way while rewarding team work. The games hinge so close at times thathe the game requires you to play until the end.

I love this game and I am not a big multiplayer kind of guy. Lots of different heroes who play wildly different and a decent number of maps with unique objectives. If you're at all curious about it, then gove it a shot.

Only fun times ahead with this game. Straight up multiplayer. Jump on with some friends and dominate the other team. So many characters to choose from, you will have to play a while to get used to all the abilities.

It's been a while since I have thoroughly enjoyed a video game. Games these days usually involve not both a learning curve but a leveling curve. All of the characters are unlocked and future DLC is FREE. Definitely a no-brainer. This game is for people who love PVP and don't expect a single player campaign. This game only requires that you learn how to play it and not have to invest hundreds of hours in order to be able to compete. For me, this simply means that I actually have time to play instead of work a video game. As a gamer in my 30s, I don't have a lot of time these days. So when a game that's this much fun comes out and doesn't require you to devote hours to enjoy it appears, I have to appreciate it. Great Job Blizzard!

I bought this game after seeing it played online, and I LOVE it. I'm not that good at it yet so it can be frustrating, but that's part of the experience. Great array of characters and great game play.
