The Panamax 5300 is the real deal. I have a wide band line tester and when I tested the unit it did what it said it was going to do it took the noise out of the line.For you out there considering the 5400 unless you have a 6 V swing in your voltage save money and get the 5300 because the volt stabilization in the 5400 won’t even work until you have a 6 V swing. Hope this helps

The only complaint is the big blue circle lights on the front. They are too bright when watching tv in the evening.

I bought this primarily for protection but was amazed and how it improved the sound and picture quality.

I upgraded my TV and sound system it was time to sent some money to protect my stuff that isn't a $9.00 and no real protection. This even tells what I'm using power wise. I'm barely using any power.

Has enough outlets to plug in enough hardware. If you have expensive equipment like I do, you should get this! No need to be afraid of any thunderstorms anymore!

I have had other units like this. Major power surges were controlled by this unit and prevented certain damage to my equipment.

these are a must if you spend a bunch on quality electronics. I even use them on my pinball machines to protect the circuits

I've never used a power conditioner so I have nothing to compare this to. However. I have noticed a clearer picture and my audio seems cleaner.

Live in an older house prone to power surges and local outages. I have two systems one upstairs already equipped with a Panamax . Setup the second system and needed the protection. Have been using Panamax for 20 years so it was easy to decide on Panamax as there have been no problems with surges damaging anything

First off, i bought 2 of these and they are worth the money, they are not only surge protectors, they condition the power . i love the one that shows the Amps you use
