This would be about a dozen or so Panamax surge products I've purchased in the last 3 years. I just need something simple this time around w/o telecommunication or coax protection and this fit the bill. I haven't had any complaints...This or any of the Panamax products I've purchased thus far.

Bought this one for protecting my electronics that's not connected to internet or coax cable. Outlets are spaced well to allow for plug in of large adapters.

There's no way to know if it works, only if it doesn't work when your equipment fails. I got the impression that the means of protection is sacrificial, meaning that if it did work you do not know how much protection is left, if any. The worst are those Bright lights that illuminate the wall behind my TV, no need for so bright.

While it's impossible to know if it protects against surgest until there is one (let's hope never#, it has an 8 foot cord which I really needed, a side plug so the cord sits close to the wall along the floor from the wall outlet to where the protector. The design with 4 outlets on the top and 4 on the side is very nice. I use the 4 on the side plus one on the top for things that stay plugged in and the rest for things I need to plug and unplug #e.g., my phone and laptop).

This is good surge protector and very much worth the price. I use this in the bedroom and a more expensive version in the living room; however, considering I do not use the coaxial and phone slots, I could very easily seen someone using this with their main entertainment center. It is looks very appealing.
