I have been using Panasonic bridge/ultra-zoom cameras for over 10 years now, and have no complaints about any of them. I still have 3 that work as well today as the day I bought them up to 7 years ago, one fell in the river with me so I can't speak of it. This camera has lots of nice features, primarily the 20-1200mm Zoom! No the quality of the pictures is not the same as camera costing 3-10 times as much, but it does have RAW capabilities and the print quality is great at 16x20in and even higher. My only disappointment is when shooting video at the extreme focal length of 1200mm is there is something what looks like minor video tearing, but I think it has something to do with the stabilization, maybe called "Stabilization artifacts"

This is a great camera for all around shooting. Many manual settings which are a bit difficult to find at times. Several settings I still have not figured out totally, yet. It has a huge zoom range which is great for animals and birds. Great wide angle also. The one downfall is the clarity of photos, when you zoom even a little or try to crop in afterwards the photos degrade dramatically. I love the compactness and the price was good, although about 2 weeks after I bought the camera the price dropped about $40! And that included a card and bag! Not happy about that.

I had a 9 year old FZ 30, sold it to a friend and paid the difference for this new model. Tremendous camera, especially for the price. Yes I could have paid more for WiFi, and some of the latest bells and whistles, It does things my Nikon DSLR can't even do, and the zoom. I had a 12 to 1 on the old one, but a 60 to 1. Wow. I can't wait for the next local air show. I am going to take this instead of the Nikon and all the lenses.

I picked it up when it was on daily deal, otherwise I wouldn't have tried it. I am not disappointed at all, the zoom was nice, picture quality was excellent, true Panasonic quality.

I love this camera. It does most of the things that the more expense through the lens interchangable lens camera does but at a lot cheaper price. I also love that I can either use the LCD on the back of the camera or if there is bright day light which makes the LCD hard to see then I can swiitch to through the veiw finder. It has not only wide angle and high Telephoto ability but panermatic and movie clips available. The only bad part is it takes time to learn how to use all the extra abilities of this camera but if you choose the 1A setting, it is a very easy camera to use right out of the box.

Was looking for a superzoom but what I wanted was 2X this price so I gave up a feature (flip screen) and will live without it. I haven't put it through it's paces in the field but in my tests it works better than my Canon SX30 and it can do a lot of things to help get good pictures. Sensor noise is what I expected but small sensor size allows such an extreme zoom range so I'm not taking a multitude of lenses when I hike. It does capture raw images (good) but SW to work with raw files does not come with camera (URL is in manual) and file type is not recognized by OS even with SW installed.

My father recently purchased a similar Nikon that I was very impressed with. I found this Panasonic Lumix on sale for a better price, and is equal to, if not better, than the Nikon. I am very happy with this camera. It has great zoom capabilities, very sharp focus, and the battery lasts quite a while.

I bought this camera because it was the 'Deal of the Day' & the price was very good. I also read the reviews & was satisfied it would meet my needs at this time. I have not been able to play with it as much as I would like yet but when used at a company sales meeting...I was happy with the way it felt & very happy with the speed at which it recycled. The auto-focus it much better than the simple point n shoot coolpix I was using. It may not be my old 35mm but it is what I was looking for as a good in-between from the point n shoot to the standard DSLR.

Purchased this camera on sale at a great price. The 60X zoom really lets you get some great shots.
I attended a 2 evening class to learn how to use more of the camera functions and I am really impressed as to it's abilities. It can do far more than just point and shoot. I would recommend this camera to someone who wants more then just point and shoot.

While this is not a thousand dollar professional camera, it provides great features and a very good lens. The 20-1200 mm equivalent lens is excellent, ranging from wide angle to super telephoto. The eye level viewer makes it easy to use in bright daylight. I haven't even explored all the creative options yet, but there are many. This is a great camera for the creative photographer on a budget.

This camera's greatest feature is the single fixed-mount lense and the wide range from panoramic, and very wide to extremely tight zoom (approx 1200mm). One lense does it all. It's settings range from full auto mode to complete manual mode for the more experienced photographer. The viewfinder image is sharp (though it lags compared to a true DSLR). Keep in mind this is a "Bridge Camera" (I had to Google the definition). I have not yet tried the video mode. All in all, I really like this camera!
