It has great picture quality from all angles. The sound quality is pretty good too. My only complaints are: The USB port, though hidden and not terribly difficult to get to , could be a little more easy to access. The media player could have more support for video/audio codecs. I find myself having to recode a lot of my videos, which is time consuming. A bookmark function would be nice too, so you can have the option to start where you left off, instead of from the beginning every time. The component input uses the composite input, which is fine, but I could use another component input. That being said, I wouldn't want to sacrifice the price for those features.

I was able to put this TV together before my husband even got home. It was easy to connect our devices. Since we got rid of our cable; we have a DVD/VCR combo, a Sony streaming device, and an atenna. The atenna wouldn't work with our old Magnavox but works flawlessly with this one. I thought we would need to upgrade the sound with a soundbar or something but no, this sound is way enough even at 15. The picture is amazing. And you can't beat the price!

Our Panasonic Viera 42" plasma TV is an excellent choice for the average homeowner. It has great picture quality, easy to use, and has all the basic features you would expect for a mid-priced television set. We use it for occasional viewing in our finished basement when I am working on hobbies or other projects. The best part is you get the quality you deserve, from a Company you can trust, and at a price you can afford. We are very happy with our purchase. I would strongly recommend this TV for the casual viewer that is looking for good quality and value.

I absolutely love this TV! I bought a 50" in this model and loved it so much that I when I needed to replace the tv in my room, I got the exact same one in the 42". I even paid a little more for this one because it wasn't on sale like some of the other brands were, but I knew how much I loved my 50", so I bought this one without hesitation. The picture quality is excellent and the colors are bright. The speakers are in the back so the sound could be a little better, but it's nothing that hooking up speakers will not easily fix. I love this TV and would highly recommend it!

It was easy to set up the tv and watch immediately. Picture quality on HD shows is excellent and you can see the picture clearly even from the sides. Deep rich color even in a brighter room, but if you have direct sun or a bright lamp in the room - the shiny screen surface picks it up quite clearly. Overall good value for the money. We also own the previous model and that's worked great - through near continuous use - for almost 3 years.

Overall very happy, love the picture and the sound, easy to set up and use, games looks and play awesome. dont like the glare of the glass plasma screen.

We heard a rumor that Panasonic will not be making plasma tvs anymore. Best Buy is the only one who carried a 42 inch Panasonic plasma. We have a 37 inch plasma that we love. It is the reason we bought this one. If you like Panasonic plasma, then you might not want to wait to get one. The picture looks great out of the box. Very little adjustment. The only problem I have is there are not enough hook ups for my game systems, DVD player, and Direct tv. Other than that, I love the tv.

I honestly think this TV is worth bumping up to from the X60. Interface is nicer. Overall picture settings are great. Sound is good. I am a fan of plasmas, and there is no doubt in my mind that this TV will last. I would pick this over the Samsung model.

Excellent TV for its price and size! I love the beautiful picture quality and the sound is good. We have a small living room, sit about 8 feet from the screen, so this 42" is perfect for us. We watch hockey, baseball, and basketball and it's a great TV for sports. We don't need "smart" TV features because we prefer to watch DVDs rather than stream movies, but we can always buy a Google Chromecast stick if we want and use it with the USB port. We're very happy with this TV.

This tv was a wonderful purchase! It's fits our family just perfect. It's so cost efficient too! Everyone at best buy are so helpful to insure you make the right choice. I would highly recommend this tv to anybody with the size,picture and price how could you go wrong?

No complaints really. The TV has great picture quality. I believed I may have had a problem due to the lighting in my house, but I did not. The screen does take about 10 seconds or so to come on though. In addition, when the TV is muted, a buzzing sound is present.

This Plasma HD Viera TV displays dark scenes and action scenes of a movie or TV show much better than an LCD TV does. I can also connect my laptop to the TV with the HDMI connection to run Netflix streams of movies and TV shows. No, it is not Internet-enabled, but one could still browse the Internet and watch streaming movies and TV shows with a computer that is connected to the Viera with an HDMI cable.

Great TV for gaming, great picture, sound, etc. Wish it had more HDMI inputs, 2 is just not enough.

The picture and sound are great, the only thing I don't like is that it is not wifi. That is just a minor issue though compared to how great it works. Great for bedroom.

The price was great, so is the TV. It was easy to set up, the picture is great, I have nothing bad to say about this tv.

I've never seen such a sharp picture on a set I've owned. Lots of the TV personalities are not as "pretty" as I thought they were. I can see their wrinkles and wens. Sports are gorgeous. I am so excited about seeing football in a few weeks; it is going to be more exciting than ever before. I wish I were able to cancel out the channels I will never want to watch; that way I could surf through more channels, but the "Favorites" option does cut down on the number of channels that come up so that solves that problem somewhat.

Was looking for something easy to use, and space saving, this tv was the perfect fit!

Bought this TV mainly for playing PS3 and watching Netflix. Picture quality is great, sound is good and doesn't lag at all.

The set is very good quality and extremely affordable. A lot of TV for the price. Very good purchase for simple tv viewing, but not as a smart tv or for high def quality.
