It does pretty much exactly what it says it does,it's great if your coming from a PC to a Mac until you can find all the same things you need to do on your Mac that you could do with your PC.
I honestly haven't even installed it yet because I don't have a current version of Windows although I had it on Mac book pro where I rarely ever needed to use it

Use it to run a few programs that only have a Windows version. The ability to switch back and forth between Apple and Windows platform is great. Parallels does a great job of keeping their product up to date.
