It's very good

I have it on a gripped Nikon body, so while it's perfect for normal shooting position, it's a little bit short for vertical/portrait position...maybe an additional 0.5" would be ideal.

Difficult to use

Good Except Anodized Aluminum Lock

This is especially true on a DLSR where the display on top of the camera could be easily scratched or nicked by a piece of metal flopping around. Think this won't happen? Try it and you'll see.
