In watching this movie, I thought it was very well done. I like Robert Redford and the role that he played in the movie. I think children will really love this movie.

My child really enjoyed this movie and believed that it had a lot of meaning.

While a lot of Disney live action remakes have been slight variations on the original films, this one goes in a completely different direction. That is not a bad thing at all, but rather refreshing as I was expecting the same thing just live action. That being said it was a really great film that is welcomed into the collection for family movie night.

My husband is a huge fan of the original and couldn't wait for this. It is COMPLETELY different from the first film. No singing, definitely a more serious take on the story. It's still a heart warming story, however a bit slow at times. If you are a Disney fan, it's still a must to own.

get your pitchforks out we are hunting a dragon. Cute and funny live action film. For you fairytale lovers this is the movie for you. It just keeps on getting more and more funny.

This movie has a warm heart tale and how it goes on trust, believe and connection. Still the story could be a bit better developed to improve the dynamics of the movie, but is worth having it to watch together with the family.

I didn't even know this was released. So glad I purchased it. Must have for anyone collecting Disney movies....

Great story about an orphan boy who finds a dragon as his only friend to overcome tough situations. Family movie.

I vaguely remembered parts of the original "Pete's Dragon", and although it's nostalgic it's pretty silly. This remake wisely avoids the silliness and the singing, and changes the story and location completely. It's an exhilarating, exciting, and heartfelt film that was evidently, truly crafted with love and care. Pete's relationship with Elliott is one for the ages -- two best friends -- and you'll definitely get an emotional lump in your throat more than a few times. The entire cast is excellent, starting with Oakes Fegley as Pete. He's a remarkable young talented actor. I've never cared much for Bryce Dallas Howard before, but I liked her a lot here in her character. And what a treat to have Robert Redford in the film; he's scruffy and warm and wise here. The thrilling action scenes are well balanced by the more intimate, emotional dramatic scenes. I watch it frequently.

Love the dragon. Good story line. Drama and laughs. Fun for the whole family. Happy ending.

This movie is really good! I wasn't sure if I would like it but it did not disappoint.

The original animated film was one of my favorites as a kid. This reimagining is splendid.
