Phantasm II is one of those movies you have to be a fan of to really enjoy. So the movie's quality is subjective. You do NOT have to be a fan to enjoy the disc. The picture has been restored to a high-def finish (it's 25+ years old, so the image isn't as sharp as modern films) and the image is clean and devoid of any serious DNR. But while the picture and audio are representative of everything right and true with Blu-Ray, this disc was designed for fanboys like me and serves as a great example of Shout! Factory's dedication to quality collector's editions. There's a 50-minute HD retrospective documentary as well as a collection of older archival material, deleted scenes (many of which are in very good condition having come from the director's personal stash) and also an old educational film from the 50s starring the film's villain as a young Abe Lincoln. And my personal favorite tidibt is that the cover is reversible: flip it over and you have the original poster art to slide in the sleeve! If you like the film, it's definitely worth the buy, even at $20 or so.

I like everything scream factory releases and this is a highlight for me considering how much I like this series. I grabbed it before it sells out, which it probably will once jj abrhams finishes the remaster of the first phantasm that is getting a blu ray release sometime this year. Id been holding out for a box set of them but I dont think that will happen.

Nothing will ever touch the first Phantasm but this is a decent sequel with the return of Angus Scrimm as the Tall Man and Reggie Bannister in his original role. Mike however is played by a different actor and big brother Jody is just a memory in this installment !!

A must buy for any Phantasm fan. The added extras compared to the barebone dvd is worth it. The audio and picture quality on blu-ray is much better.

After getting the Blu-Ray of Phantasm re-mastered to set out to get the follow up movie. Phantasm 2 is hard to find but Best Buy had it at a good price and free shipping. A few of the cast are missing from the first movie but its a good follow up to the story. Beware the Tall Man!

Purchase this second blu ray release " special edition " if you are a big fan. Well worth the extra price. I just wish they'd also release the classic " Phantasm " blu ray movie sometime soon.

It's taken a whole long time for this amazing movie series to get the Blu-Ray treatment, with 3 down and 2 to go.

Part 2 is bigger and better thanks to a larger budget. Those shiny orbs are deadlier than ever and the Tall Man deadlier than ever.

Phantasm 2 is a great follow up to the first movie. The Ball is Back!!!

I hadn't seen this movie in a long time and I enjoyed seeing it again.

This is clearly the definitive version of Phantasm II ever released. The blu-ray is definitely an upgrade over the last DVD released, however the picture quality could have been a little bit sharper. I'm sure Shout Factory did the best with whatever source material they had. The film is a favorite among many fans of the franchise and is so bizarre and different than most horror films. Some say that Phantasm is an acquired taste, but those who acquire it absolutely adore it. The list of bonus content is where this release truly shines....it is jam-packed with hours to occupy the die-hards. Also, much kudos on the reversible cover with original key art! A must-own for HorrorHounds out there!

well what can i say phantasm movies are one of the best horror movies i have seen and part two is one of the best horror sequels ever made bc it is good as the first one and it is scary and has action and comedy in it so if you like the phantasm movie i would check this one out or just buy it bc the blu-ray of this movie is awesome bc it looks and sound amazing and the extras on this disk are good to now i just wish they would release part one and three on blu-ray but part four is just one time watcher but the first 3 are awesome so check out phantasm 2 on blu-ray bc it is well worth owning

Phantasm 2 is a great sequel to the classic Phantasm. The movie has the same great charm as the original but exhibits more action elements into the formula. The presentation put forth by Scream Factory is top notch. Loads of special features, reversible coverart, and great picture and audio quality. Pick this one up.

Love this film. It's a great follow up to the surreal Phantasm. This film however is more mainstream and straight forward while at the same time being very trippy and dreamlike. Unauthorized duplication, distribution, or exhibition may result in civil liability, criminal prosecutions, and THE WRATH OF THE TALL MAN.

I've really liked the recent releases from Shout Factory and this one is just as good as their other releases. Tons of extras for the diehard fans, but patience is needed while waiting on some of the blu-ray menus to open up.
