Makes good coffee (not quite as good as my old Jura, but close), easy to use. For the money, a very good option. Only complaint is the sticker they place on the bean hopper, it is impossible to remove. This issue raised in other reviews, not sure why they continue to put it on

This coffee machine has been a game changer! I needed to get away from all the pods use and shift to freshly ground. It was easy to install and get up and running. Perfect temp coffee, easy to clean and several options. I usually do regular coffee and espresso and it’s been always perfect. Machine does a good job warning you when to clean and add water. It does not warn you when the beans run out, so gotta keep an eye out for that.

Such a game changer!I I got the recommendation from a friend of mine at work. I love that there is no waste and we save money with getting the whole coffee beans. The coffee taste fresher, and we get to play around with different brands of beans. Also Best Buy had a great price on the product. I have had no issues whatsoever. Would definitely recommend this to anybody and everybody who wants to save time in the morning and not waste a whole pot of coffee.

Having it for over a year now and enjoying it every day! Coffee options to satisfy the needs of everyone in my house. Reasonably fine to maintain it. Coffee tastes as good as the first day since I got it and as expensive as a Starbucks one.

Overall I love this machine! I’m a big fan of the fully automatic espresso option. It is very convenient & I use it every day. I love that you can choose how fine you want your coffee beans ground up.
The only downside is that it does use a lot of water being that it does have a cleaning option.

Exceptional product you get what you pay for but with Starbucks over $10 for a decent coffee drink… this machine will pay for itself in no time… just blown away at the quality of the Phillips machine… and the taste is just Uber delicious…

Good coffee maker. I said coffee. Not espresso. Had so many issues with. Very high on maintenance. Brewer requires a lot of time to clean. Lubricate then putt back in machine. Can be very messy after few brewes.Sometime its a hassle. Broke after 10 month.

Do you love espresso and coffee and want to have it with minimal effort then this is the machine for you. Setting it up is pretty easy just follow the directions in the manual or look up the Philips Youtube video of the setup. Although I have only had this machine less than a week I've found it incredibly easy to use and clean thus far. I've already cleaned the brew group once and it was pretty simple. Like others say the first dozen or so shots you run will be pretty awful but give it a while and it should be fine. Previously I was using a cheap Mr. Coffee semi-auto espresso maker I got on sale a few years ago that took a good while to pull a shot and this makes as good of a shot and I don't have to make a mess of coffee grounds tamping the portafilter. I would spend half an hour making espresso drinks for my wife and I. Since it took so long to make coffee before, I would only make it on the weekends or go to DD in the morning which was getting more and more expensive. Now I can easily make my morning coffee and save money not going to Dunkin'. We were not thrilled about spending so much for a coffee maker but getting coffee every day is more expensive over time and compared to other super-auto machines the Philips line is affordable.

We love this machine. It did take like a week to "season" if you will and figure out exactly how we liked our coffee/espresso. We tend towards bolder, richer coffee and this does not disappoint. We actually found we love using the steam to just froth our coffee with just a touch of flavored creamer (way less than we were using with a traditional coffee maker). Maybe the only downfall is that it is quite noisy so you certainly arent going to be able to make coffee without disturbing anyone else still sleeping even in a two story house.

They've perfected every detail of ease of usage: the previous Saeco used to drip from bottom, but now the drip tray covers the entire underside in one reservoir. The Saeco rubber stoppers of drip tray got old and brittle, and I made do with electrical tape. The new model has no such rubber parts, and all drip tray surfaces washes off clean with hot water bc of some coating on the plastic drip tray. The overall design is sleeker, better layed out, and all dishwasher safe (no rubber parts, for example).

I've been using this machine for 2 weeks and it has met or exceeded the expectations I had based on reading many, many reviews of various machines.
The machine arrived double-boxed and well-packed, though left upside-down by the carrier because BB put the shipping label on the bottom for some reason. The machine didn't seem to care about being upside-down at least.
Setup was simple and straight-forward. I'm not sure why a couple reviewers found it onerous; it really wasn't. I spend about 5 minutes cleaning the machine and a few minutes pre-soaking the filter, but otherwise it's about 5 minutes to set up. The only issue I had is the pictorial instructions for the water filter are not clear on what orientation the filter should be submerged in. I just did it both ways and made sure it was full of water (no air). Later in the manual, it does say in text to invert it. As the manual indicates, the first few cups of coffee are very weak and should be discarded. As some others have noted, the "pucks" from the first set of brews are mushy and loose sludge. After the first empty, I have had very slightly moist pucks that hold their form.
I have not had a superautomatic before, but the quality of the coffee is certainly better than the pod system I have been using for years and is in line with what I get in shops. I selected this model to have a few extra features in "software" and I'm glad I did. I quickly found I prefer "Americano" to "Coffee" and appreciate being able to easily control the volume, amount of coffee, and temperature from the panel. I can hit the "Americano" button and walk away to make eggs, or I can make 1-2 espresso shots and then add water manually, etc. Operation is straight-forward and obvious.
The bean hopper holds about 2/3 of a 12oz bag; it would have been nice if it held the entire bag so I wouldn't have to re-store the partial bag. Of course this would make the machine bigger, and maybe others who buy 8oz bags would dislike that their beans are sitting in more air space. The hopper lid does have a rubber gasket seal to help keep the beans fresh. The slope is very shallow, but all but a couple beans did find their way into the grinder without assistance. But, I can understand why people recommend not using oily beans. I'm not sure why the engineers didn't increase the slope to address those issues; maybe they are trying very hard to keep the machine compact.
In the same way, the water reservoir is a bit on the small side. I fill it at least once and often twice in a morning. The cannister easily slides out, has a nice handle that makes it easy to carry and fill, and slides into place easily. I have not had any problem with water leakage as a few people mentioned. That said, I would have preferred a way to add water in place. We'll see how many years the sealing mechanism continues to hold up with daily disconnects.
The grinder is about as loud as one would expect, but the pump on this unit seems on the loud side. It is definitely not a sound you want while trying to talk or watch tv, but on the other hand it's not so loud that I worry about waking anyone when I'm brewing the first cup at 6am.
I have cleaned the machine once so far. The brew group came out okay - you have to depress a button, and wiggle the unit a little to get it out. It went back in so easily that I was not sure it was actually back in place, removed it, and put it back in. The unit itself was easy to clean, just loose coffee dust here and there. It was clean enough after a week that I am going a little longer this time. The water tray and puck bin slide out to the front easily and are also easy to clean. My only complaint here is that the water level can be quite near the top of the tray. I can imagine older folks or people with tremors having a hard time carrying a fullish tray of water to the sink to empty and clean. The engineers were thoughtful in many areas of the design: parts are clearly labeled with whether they can go in the dishwasher or not, and the parts are designed to fit together in only one, obvious way.
I don't have any real interest in the milk system, but I tried out the frother just because it was there. It was easy to use, frothed a cup of milk in several seconds, and was quick and easy to take apart, rinse, and reinstall.

Makes good espresso. I thpought that 3 temperature and flavor settings were a sales pitch, but was pleasantly surprised that playing with the temperature settings makes noticeable changes in coffee taste. One need to find the best temperature for every new brand of coffee. The thick crema as shown on the promotional pictures, is not real. I am getting at best half of that with any brand of coffee I used so far (five of them to date).
Using pre-ground coffee never really worked for me (I did follow the instructions), it mostly went straight into the used grounds collection tray for some reason and contaminated the brew group all over, I had to take it out and clean = wasted at least 30 min. Because we don't really use the pre-ground coffee, I was not particularly troubled by this.
Another problem occurred with the frother. I like my coffee straight, but my wife uses the frother and complained that it stopped frothing milk (she used the same milk as before). t happened less than 2 month after purchase. I thoroughly cleaned the steam injector and tested it myself. Indeeed, the problem was there. The steam was coming out, but at an insufficient rate for efficient frothing. We will try to talk to a service center.
Overall, the mashine makes good coffee, but the problems from the getgo raise concerns about the long term reliability.

Very easy to use and works like charm. it takes about 5 mins to make Cappuccino from cold start.
Taste of espresso is above average. Coffee/Espresso can not be compared with other machines like Gaggia or Breville in comparable price range but don't have to deal with mess it create.
Milk frother creates beautiful froth better than lattego. Make sure to clean it properly.
Overall, We love this machine.

I am extremely impressed with how easy and quick this espresso machine is to use. I love how you can just push a button and walk away and your coffee is done! It’s nice that it is all automatic, takes much less time and effort to make the perfect cup of coffee/espresso. We have been using daily for over 6 months and haven’t had any issues with it.

Love this coffee/espresso maker! It’s so easy to use. Just a touch of a button, it will grind, make the coffee “puck”, and brew. Hardly go to Starbucks for coffee as long as you got good beans, this will brew it perfectly.
