Much better than the 1100 lm lightbulbs from Phillips. It’s a little pricey, and I would prefer for it to be a little bit brighter, but much brighter than the 1100 lm and I’d recommend these for sure over those. Picture shows light brightness at 50%.

I already have several hue bulbs and love them all. This is the higher 100watt version and is great for throwing a lot of light on the wall even through a lamp shade.
Pricey but the right watts for standard brightness

Philips Hue bulbs are just great. They might be pricey but they are worth it. The setup, connectivity and standard (and advanced) features supported with the Philips Hue bulbs make them stand out from the rest.
I recommend them over the competition so I will just cover a comparison between previous Philips hue bulbs with the e26 bulb base (there are the 60W and 75W equivalent a19 bulbs)
Brightness (lumen output):
This is the key distinguishing factor for me. I am very glad that they finally came out with a 100Watt equivalent bulb. Previous versions are great (I have many 60watt equivalent bulbs) but they do not reach the normal levels of brightness (lumens) one might want.
All other aspects:
-same great connectivity as all other bulbs
-the a21 is larger in both height and diameter of the a19 bulb so it may limit their use in some light fixtures but usually there is no issue. I suggest checking the dimensions before buying just in case you aren’t sure.
-the 100W (a21) gives off more heat than the 60W and 75W bulbs (which is the case for basically any higher watt bulb)
-the 100W (a21) does have better light distribution vs the 60W and 75W (a19s)

As other reviewer have stated, these bulbs are brigher than the 800 lumen bulbs in whites. There's not much of a different when using colored hues. The bulbs are also a little bigger than the 800 lumen bulbs. Quality hue products that I've come to expect - but gaaaaah so expensive. But I'll never have to replace them. So there's that at least.

use these all around my house, i do also have the hub so I get most features out of these bulbs. plenty bright, a tad tall for some fixtures, but generally most reliable of all my smart bulbs. some color registration is off (talking about you purple) but most colors represent accurately enough.

We've used Hue lights for many years, and the one complaint we've had is that the standard A19 Color/White bulbs are not the brightest.
With that in mind, we decided to try a pair of the A21s in the location we notice it most: the lights on each side of our couch in the living room. It's a large area, and the standard A19s always looked dim.
What a pleasant surprise. These A21s, when doing white or shades of white, are much brighter. It's quite noticeable, and a welcome change in the room. Colors aren't really much brighter, but that's not an issue.
They're not cheap, but if you're into the Hue ecosystem and want a brighter light, these do the trick nicely. And like every Hue light, they work flawlessly.

I had these lights for more than 3 years and it's been so great. The quality of the light colors is amazing depending on your environment. Since my room is small, these lights really light up..

BRIGHT and effective - which is exactly what I was looking for. No issues with app use or programing. I have it in a bedside lamp pointed at my face and it's set to turn on a few minutes before my alarm. On the brightest white-light setting it works well to help wake me up in the morning.

We have used the Hue lights for years but found that the first bulbs we had to not be as bright. We purchased these and they were such an improvement in the room we needed to be brighter for reading. Highly recommend!

Works just as well as any other Philips Hue bulb I've ever used, but is slightly brighter. Can't give it full marks because of the price. For the amount of extra brightness you get from this bulb, it shouldn't cost so much more than the standard Hue lightbulb.

I love these lights, I use them in floor lights and have an automation set up to use the smart light switch or the app. It also works with your smart assistant. If you have a large room, you will need more than one, as these are not the brightest light I have seen, but they have never failed to work with my smart applications.

I have a 60W, 75W, and now this 100W Hue color bulb that I use for my home office garage lamp. It is indeed brighter than the other bulbs but only in the white, warm white and maybe slightly around those other white temperature ranges only, not brighter in the "colors" it seems... so just keep that in mind. Anyway, I needed the extra lumens for my home office that I have in the garage when I work or study for school so this work fine.

These hue lights look good, but they can be hard to set up, and you need switches for them to be easy enough to turn on and off. With smart home features because actual power needs to remain on (they don't have batteries)
